    ROMAN PETROVICH VOLKOV

Roman was a bit disappointed, to say the least, with how Fernando had taken over. He had been expecting a showdown between him and Blazey, a fight of dominance, but with this rather peaceful transaction, it didn't feel as exciting. Still, he realized, it might be good to have a fresh new start with a new animal in power. Roman was not necessarily seeking power, not right now, at least.

"Uh ..." Roman started, unsure of what to say. He didn't have any ideas right now, he had never been interested in politics and to see Fernando take over without much of a warning had him drawing up blanks. How could he expect them to do a discussion on such a short notice? Nevertheless, he was here, and at least nodded to show that he accepted Fernando as the new leader.

    //agreeing with those

i'd definitely like to see more of an emphasis on knowledge and such, since that seems to be the clan's theme

i might have a few ideas, but i want to do some more research on them first before presenting heheh

Oh good God, this place was getting even more confusing. Roman looked up at Fernando while he talked, nodding along. When it was finally over, the ebony wolf leapt to his feet and called out a congratulations to Rose Quartz. Hmm. He wasn't a historian anymore, then. Oh well. He laughed it off and looked back up to Fernando. "So, it's like a school?" He knew what a school was, he just didn't know of the possibility that animals could run one. It was a bit interesting but Roman knew he would probably slack off on most work, if this was more education-based. He was already growing a bit pudgy from sitting around in the slow Clan, with no excitement, but hey, maybe this will give the place a bit of a spark. Halcyon was new, he'd never seen her before, and perhaps more would join.

Roman was padding along, minding his own business. He had to admit, life around here was significantly less stressful than living with his pack in the Russian wilderness, but it at least gave him a save haven to live while learning about other Clans. Like hell he'd stick around for mathematic classes, ever since the Clan had adopted a more academic style.

The melanistic wolf caught scent of a dog. That made his ears prick up in interest because he couldn't recall immediately if there was another canine in this Clan. He could be wrong. He was living a bit more on the outskirts of the Clan and not interacting much except for meetings. As soon as he saw the border collie on the border, Fernando literally appeared out of thin air. "Ello. Roman here." The Russian wolf greeted in his signature drawl. "Sorry if he scared you. It happens not often. I never saw anyone appear just like that." Roman felt the need to comment on the leader's teleportation. Although it was a bit shocking, at least he could use this instance in making jokes out of the big lion. Maybe Fernando didn't exist at all. Gasp. Roman chuckled to himself as he waited for the stranger at the border to answer the lion's question.

"You? A leader?" Roman's amber eyes narrowed at the arctic wolf pup. His tone wasn't something menacing. He knew it wasn't his business to say what Clans could and couldn't do, but he could have done better to hold his tongue in a diplomatic setting such as this. Still! He thought he had a right to be hesitant, this was a child being a leader of a Clan, a school Clan, too it seemed. The wolf sat back down with a thump, his eyes cautiously flickering over to Fernando, to see if he might be reprimanded for his remark. He had to wonder how Solas got the position in the first place. He certainly hoped it wasn't the outcome of a battle of dominance. It must have been like how Fernando had taken over after Blazestar.

The Russian wolf's scent was beginning to fade from the area, and he wasn't seen around often. He'd always have a special place in his heart for StormClan, but right now, he wanted something else. Perhaps he'd come back. Roman sometimes thought about that. Really, the only reason he stuck around was to learn about the Clans - and he had done some considerable work. His English improved, a little, and he'd show that by writing a letter and leaving it somewhere near the entrance of the castle, too busy to put it up on his own door.

I am leaving. Some of you may not know who I am but this paper is for the people who know. StormClan has been good home to me. Thank you for taking me in. Maybe I will come again for visit.

"What." What kind of trees were these? All gnarly and twisted, they didn't look very pleasing to Roman's eye. It was a rather inconvenient terrain, he thought. Roman was known to trip and lose his balance. After all, that was how he found StormClan. He had left that group because it didn't have much to give. He still liked it though. StormClan truly would have a place in his heart, it just wasn't right for him now.

Roman could sense a border and vaguely identified the scent as RiverClan. He had heard a little about them, not enough to give a good opinion of them, but their gnarly trees could use some work. At least he'd be able to crack a few jokes about it. Unfortunately, he was too tired to think of any now. "Hey, uh, anyone here, eh please?" The Eurasian wolf yipped. He wasn't sure if he wanted to join RiverClan without knowing a little about it first. Why would he jump headfirst into such a delicate decision? He stood still and straight as he waited for someone to come over.

The pounding of paws thudded against the ground. The steps were large and rough, not similar to an average wolf's. They belonged to a large male epicyon wolf, his pelt dark as starless skies. His glowing yellow eyes were a stark contrast to his dark pelt. He was chasing a deer. He was nearly there. Faster, faster, faster ... he pounced.

    His attack landed home.

His claws dug into the deer's haunches and he viciously pulled the prey down. Her legs buckled beneath her as she let out a whine, before it was cut short by the epicyon wolf's jaws closing in around its neck. Blood dripped from his teeth and claws as he pulled back, watching the creature twitch as it heaved its last breath. He settled down to eat, digging into the warm meal eagerly, but his ears were twitching every which way to make sure he was in no danger. He didn't know he had crossed the Riverside border and was a good ways into the territory already.

    sekai skywalker !

Riverside territory? "No, I was not aware. My apologizes." The epic yon wolf responded, raising his head from the slaughtered deer to raise a tentative brow at the fox. He could sense the tremor in the other's voice and he leaned forward, ears twitching. It didn't look like he was going to fight the wolf. Not yet. His attention was soon captured by Sekai and his pale yellow eyes widened slightly in interest. "My name is Mizar." He said with a huff, taking his focus away from tearing apart the deer in front of them. He watched Lessa and Luciferus come up, but he said nothing in regards to them. "My business? Well, I am having a little meal here. Didn't mean to have it on your territory." Mizar shrugged lightly, as if he couldn't care less.

He had seen something in Sekai when she appeared at his little joining. In fact, the only reason he decided to integrate himself into this Clan was because of her. No, he wasn't interested in her romantically ... he had no time for romance, and his taste was not in young girls. He sensed power within her. Not enough power to usurp him, but enough to get Mizar to want to get closer to her. Test her boundaries and loyalties.

The epicyon wolf was trotting through the forest, and it seemed he had suddenly, by some miraculous coincidence, stumbled upon the very person he wanted to see. Mizar watched her levitate for a while, slightly impressed. It wasn't long, however, until he began to speak. "What is it you are doing?"

Still ever so uncomfortable around him. She'd better get used to it. He wasn't going to give up that easily. It was going to be tough. He'd have to somehow make himself into a sort of friend to Sekai, to get her to trust him. Her defiance at his very presence would be a good start to the training he had in mind for her. "Oh no... I didn't follow you. It happened by chance that I found you. I am still familiarizing myself with the territory."

That was actually honest. He wasn't lying there. He hadn't meant to find her, but he was sure glad he did. His eyes glanced at the book, but he made no comment on it. "I know I look big and scary, these yellow eyes and black coat don't do much to give me a friendly appearance, but it's the best I got." He added in a gentle shrug.

"Your powers," He said simply, gesturing toward her. "Are something I am curious of. I had a feeling you were special when I first saw you, and you appear to be very strong with the Force." He began slowly, cautiously. He had to ease his way in. Bit by bit. He'll get there soon enough. It was only a matter of time. Mizar's brilliant yellow eyes were fixed on Sekai, and his mouth curled in a smile.

His ears twitched. His interest in the cub dropped suddenly, and he turned nonchalantly to Sekai. He had to keep up a cover here, didn't he? He didn't want them to think he was joining because of Sekai. That might look wrong, especially considering he was sure she was a bit freaked out by him. "How easy is it for me to integrate myself into, eh, Riverside territory?" He asked with a flick of his tail. "I've been looking for a place to settle down, and the land here looks pretty enough." He added with a smile.
