At the end of the day, William decide to mention it to her. "Emi, did you know there's been a haze following you?"

"I'm fine, Emi," He said, offering her a smile. "how are you feeling? You were sneezing a lot in class."
-
"Of course," He said, giving her the same smile. "So, can I come over later?"
-
"Scotland, originally," He said, giving her a smile. "Then I moved to Canada for a few years." The accent was slight in his voice. "How about you?"
-
"Alright," He said, shrugging. "I guess I'll come over tomorrow, then."
-
"Experiments?" He suggested quietly, reaching for some of the food. It had been too long since he ate last. "Perhaps we have to survive while they hunt us?"
-
He shook his head as she left, watching the haze that followed her. Perhaps it was just his eyes playing tricks.
-
"You never know, they could be sadists," He said, offering her a small smile. Then he frowned. "Maybe they just want humans to breed, like cattle."
-
"I can't," I said, meeting her golden eyes with my own as I stepped forwards to examine the blades. "Where did you get those?"
-
"You should start driving," William said at lunch as he leaned against her. He could see the haze better, and he was almost sure it wasn't smoke.
-
"I'll drive you tomorrow," He said, giving her a sympathetic look. "Maybe you should go how."
-
"You could kill someone," He said, with a soft sigh. "I'll get you food if your hungry."
-
He nodded, wanting to tell her they did see them as more. "It gets cold, so you'll need more body heat."
-
He hated that he could see the haze, and curious about what they were.
-
"Call it a curiousity," I said, reaching to untie her. "I want to know what you are, and at the very least, what your limits are."
-
He'd see the other haze of course, and after school, he saw it again. All he knew was that his friend was getting sick, and that the hazes where part of it. So, he walked up to see if it really was under her window, or something else.
-
"Couple hours," He said, glancing at her. "The desert isn't goiing to be good at night. It's like the ones at home."
-
"What in seven H*lls are you doing to my friend?" He demanded, glaring at him.

Tairin tried not to let her face flush, and it was hard not kiss the jackel.

Tairin squeezed the hand as she stepped onto the boat, and gave the jack a small smile.
