"Who are you, and do you have business with the Clan?" Dia asked. She was trying to be more... something. Aware, maybe, of strangers on the border?
Finally figuring that out, huh? the voice in her head said.
"If you reference the dance party one more time I'm gonna lose it." Dia muttered under her breath.
It's already lost, Dear Dia.
Hi Ace.
Dia and Blues thread?
Also Queeny I know what you mean, hehe.
Dia will be his friend if he joins. Maybe they can have a plot or sumthin to spark your muse.
Friends with Dia?
Dia had a knack for occasionally noticing when her friends were bummed. And she'd noticed in the wake of Twistedfantasy's visit, she'd seemed, well bummed didn't seem to be the right word.
But what was remarkable was not that Dia had noticed, but that she had done something to actually cheer Forgiven up.
What is this? The voice asked.
"Look in my head and find out for yourself." Dia told him. She looked down, at the needles she'd gathered on the mainland when she was looking for corn to bring to StellarClan. There weren't many and they needed to be cleaned, but they came in several different sizes. There were also a few band aids with grinning skeletons and the word "Spoopy" written on them, whatever that meant. Dia looked around, hoping to catch sight if her friend.
mcnugget : Dia's no walk in the park either, she'll enjoy attempting to get Java out of his shell.
MAMA Mutt: boop http://feralfront.com/index.php?topic=2238508.new#new I took the liberty if making the thread.
@Rev: I'll make a thread for Dia and Blues?
mcnugget : Whoops, didn't see that. I can make, but I've already done a munch today.
Had she and Ibuki never introduced themselves, or was the rockstar talking to Xerxes? "Me? My name's Dia, if you didn't know yet." Diamond said.
/bleh another s**t post.
The bunker was huge; it wasn't that surprising that Dia had gotten lost deep in some secret maze of twisting passages far from where anyone ever seemed to tread. She'd just realized she had no idea where she was, even though the voice had been trying to clue her in for a while.
I tried to tell you so.
"Shut up. Can you help me get out?" Dia asked, eyes going up as if she could see who spoke to her.
She waited, but the voice said nothing else.
in which forgiven panics aout everyone's well-being bc don't hold needlES YOU MIGHT GET AIDS AND SHE WILL WORRY VERY AGGRESSIVELY ABOUT YOu
Haha, and Dia's all "OH S**T I F**KED UP!"
"Huh?" Dia asked, dropping the needles. She looked down at the little pile of syringes. "Oh s**t. Oh s**t oh s**t. Forgiven, am I gonna die?"
Everyone goes some day. The voice said calmly, casually, even.
"Huh? Oh, Blues, it's you. Do you know the way out?" Dia asked, walking over to the recent joiner. Are you kidding me? He shuts up now? Perfect, absolutely perfect. At least Bluestock was with her now; maybe they could figure a way out together, since the voice had gone mute.
"I don't think that's a problem." Diamond said. "We autoaccept, though you didn't say you were joining..." Dia shook her head. "But I don't think phrasing is that important. Right? Not in this case." Ugh, where was Cain or Mal or Ref, or any of the countless others that seemed to always know what was what.
"Family." Diamond echoed. It was nice, the idea that someone other than Ruby was her sister. She wasn't ready to call everyone in the Rift her sister or brother, but all things took time. 'Cept this, of course. She already saw Forgiven as a little sister, even if Forgiven had seen far more than Dia had.
Dia let Forgiven check her paws. She hadn't pricked herself, had tried to avoid touching the needles, but what if she had? She peered past Forgiven, trying to see if there was something visible that would clue her in to her demise.
"I'm fine." Dia said, though it was obvious it wasn't entirely true. "It's just these stupid rocks." She shook her head, fingers gripping the rough stone beneath her. "I'm not meant for this terrain."
Or this Clan. Dia groaned.
"Trying to hunt." Dia said. "And failing." She sighed, nearly saying what the voice had been trying to tell her for half an hour. "Maybe..." She shook her head. No. She couldn't admit that she wasn't cut out for this. "Maybe you could give me some tips?"
"Great, thanks." Diamond said, adjusting her stance on the rocks and nearly falling. She cursed under her breath, catching herself just in time.
You enjoy proving my point, don't you?
"No." She hissed through her teeth.
