Seems the smell attracted yet another curious (and probably hungry) soul because here came Dallas. The seal-point tilted his head to the side as he watched the polar bear finish up his work. "That's a damn good idea actually." he commented after listening in to Matt's explanation of the smoked meat. "It'll be good for winter when, ah, prey is scarce, but it'll probably end up making us lazy." he added with a snort.

Would he rather eat pre-cooked, delicious food than go out in the ice and snow to look for scrawny prey animals? Hell yeah. Then again, he was definitely lazy. This wouldn't be good for him, he was already a little chubby as it was.
[/fancypost]

Wysteriapaw waltzed into the clearing, ears ringing with the pleasant sound of music. Hell fuckin yeah, this was what they were here for. Parties, parties, and more parties. "The whole place looks lovely." they crooned, admiring the surrounding area. "I'm definitely ready to get down."

Cats could dance right? Yeah, totally.
[/fancypost]

    [fancypost borderwidth=0; text-align:justify; line-height:95%; width:470px; margin-top: -10px;]

Dallas had been here a few days now and was growing increasingly more at ease with his new surroundings. This place was more lively than the Church had ever been and he didn't feel like the castle was going to fall down on him at any moment like he did with the asylum. That place had been bad news. Hopefully they'd moved out by now.

The seal-point tom padded down the halls, occasionally sticking his head into open rooms just to see what was hidden within. Most of them were empty and a few seemed to be private living quarters. There were so many rooms in this place that he'd probably never even see them all.

Exploring done for the day, Dallas bounded down the stairs and towards the ground floor. This seemed to be the central hub of activity for the clan and he passed by a few other animals with a friendly nod.

The day was still young, but he was at a loss with what to do with it. He disliked being cooped up indoors all day because it left him alone with his thoughts and usually his thoughts focused on things he'd rather forget...like Miyu. God, how he missed that cat. He wondered where he was now. He respected the tom way too much to go chasing after him. He wanted to leave and that was his decision--much like Dallas's own decision to leave the Church after he'd stepped down. He supposed leadership did that to you.

But damn, nothing could stop him from missing him.

With a small sigh, Dallas headed out into the sunlight, ears perking up as the cool fall breeze brushed his whiskers back. Yes, it was much too good a day to spend indoors wallowing in self-pity.
[/fancypost]

Pastries. He'd never had the luxury of trying those, whatever they were. Actually he'd never really had anything other than what you could find out in the wild. He'd had candy before when one of their allies brought over a gift basket but truthfully, he didn't have much of a sweet tooth.

"Usual fair, huh..." He was still a new member but he could take a wild guess that Eden was similar to most other clans when it came to food. "I'm guessing just the basics. Whatever you can catch in the wild or whatever." the Boston-accented feline replied with a thoughtful frown. "Rabbits, mice, birds. Raw meat. Stuff like that?" He glanced around the gathered group as if waiting for confirmation.
[/fancypost]
    [fancypost borderwidth=0; text-align:justify; width:470px; margin-top: -10px;]

    [fancypost borderwidth=0; text-align:justify; line-height:95%; width:470px; margin-top: -10px;]

OOOOOO i'm bout to snitch on yall for plotting to overthrow Cav
[/fancypost]
    [fancypost borderwidth=0; text-align:justify; width:470px; margin-top: -10px;]

    [fancypost borderwidth=0; text-align:justify; line-height:95%; width:470px; margin-top: -10px;]

Having zoned out a little, he almost didn't even see Matt as he approached. The distant look in his eyes faded as soon as he spoke though and he turned to face the other feline with an embarrassed grin. "Matt! Hey!" he greeted cheerfully. "Weather's perfect honestly. I'm trying to soak it up before, ah, winter gets here." he snorted.

He was no fan of winter truthfully. He was a summer kinda guy, a beach kinda guy. He'd never even been to the ocean but he'd had reoccurring dreams about sailing for months now. It was so oddly specific and he didn't know why exactly, but he had them nonetheless.

"We are tied to the ocean. And when we go back to the sea, whether it is to sail or to watch - we are going back from whence we came."

He'd read that quote in one of the books back at the Church. It reverberated with him in an inexplicable way and he made it his life goal to see the ocean someday. How he would get there...that was something to think about.

"Sooo, how you've been?" he asked after a moment. "Any sports victories?" he paused with a thoughtful frown. "Wait, do you have a team?" The other tom's love for sports was evident by his knowledge of how to play football, so maybe he liked to listen or read about them too. Dallas didn't know much about actual sports teams besides what he'd read in some really old newspapers back at the Church. For American football, he was partial to the Cowboys simply because they were based in his namesake Dallas, Texas.

Other than that, he was clueless.
[/fancypost]

    [fancypost borderwidth=0; text-align:justify; line-height:95%; width:470px; margin-top: -10px;]

Well, his stay here had certainly been shorter than he expected.

Dallas loved it here, he really did. He blended in fine with the others and got to live an uneventful, non-stressful life. It was practically paradise compared to the whirlwind of madness that had been his short leadership over the Church.

He'd been approached by an NPC who'd gone to check up on their alliance with CoTI, only to find the old asylum, leaderless, almost empty, and with only a few brave souls left behind. "That's their problem, I'm sure they can figure it out for themselves." he'd dismissed almost immediately. But the more he thought about it, the more he felt terribly guilty. He wasn't responsible for their current predicament and yet...

He'd grown up there and he'd hate for it to fade into nothing. He slept on it fitfully, but woke up sure of what he had to to. Maybe leading was his calling after all--even though his skill was questionable.

"Man, I hate to do this...you've all been damn good company but," he hesitated, looking around the clearing. "I gotta go. My, uh, old clan needs me. This won't be the last time you'll see me around though, considering Eden and the Church are allies." God, he was giving up his last chance at a peaceful life. This was harder than he'd thought. "Thanks a ton, you're all welcome to visit CoTI whenever you're around."

With that, he turned and headed off.

//I MUST GO MY PEOPLE NEED ME....I'll be continuing all my KoE threads retro to his return to the Church tho :^)
[/fancypost]

I'm pretty sure I've made 500 of these threads for him OOOOOPS

UH Dallas is the current leader of the Church of the Imperium (name change pending) which has recently undergone a revamp. 0; They're getting ready to move to Washington DC, into the Pentagon ;3c

He's open for pretty much anything except like, death and long term relationships. He's open to litters BUT ONLY if the kits go to CoTI bc we really need the members hoo boy. He's super HPR/the grandson of Serpentine so....hmu......
[/fancypost]
    [fancypost borderwidth=0; text-align:justify; width:470px; margin-top: -10px;]

    [fancypost borderwidth=0; text-align:justify; line-height:95%; width:470px; margin-top: -10px;]

Yes to both!! I'll make the threads in a bit!
[/fancypost]
    [fancypost borderwidth=0; text-align:justify; width:470px; margin-top: -10px;]

    [fancypost borderwidth=0; text-align:justify; line-height:95%; width:470px; margin-top: -10px;]

He was far from home and he felt guilty about it honestly.

Especially when they were so...small. So fragile. They were doing their damn hardest to pull themselves out of the ruins of the asylum and save what remained of the clan, but still...he worried.

But he needed some time to himself every once in awhile and this was one of those times. They were preparing for the big move and he needed some time to think everything over, make sure he was making the right decisions. Who knew what kind of dangers awaited them in DC--not that it could be any worse than living in a crumbling asylum that was due to collapse on them any day now.

Zoned out as usual, he barely registered that he'd practically stumbled into ShadowClan territory until the scent markers jolted him out of his trance. "Shit," he muttered, taking a few hops back so he wasn't over the borderline.
[/fancypost]

Frenemies/enemies sounds good to me!! he could use some more interactions other than friendly ones lmao. Should I make the thread??
[/fancypost]
    [fancypost borderwidth=0; text-align:justify; width:470px; margin-top: -10px;]

    [fancypost borderwidth=0; text-align:justify; line-height:95%; width:470px; margin-top: -10px;]

@Dextierity; not right now, no. I need him to stay at the CoTI for now, at least until it's somewhat stable and not endanger of losing its board.

@Cav; yes pls!! and I don't have a preference for which board it goes in ;0
[/fancypost]
    [fancypost borderwidth=0; text-align:justify; width:470px; margin-top: -10px;]

    [fancypost borderwidth=0; text-align:justify; line-height:95%; width:470px; margin-top: -10px;]

And so began the Church's trek to the new territory. It was a long journey, but they were going to be so much better off now that they were out of the stuffy hell hole that had been the asylum. This was a new beginning for everyone. Hopefully things would be smooth sailing from here on out.

While everyone was taking a break, he broke off from the group and scouted ahead to try and get an idea of where exactly they were. He was careful to avoid crossing any borders and had brought the group pretty far into neutral territory. Hopefully they wouldn't run into any grumpy loners.

Dallas stopped at the stream and took a few drinks before angling his head up towards the sky. They still had a lot of daylight left and he had some time to break by himself for a few. He sat down with a heavy sigh and kept watch over his surroundings through half-closed eyes.
[/fancypost]

@Enigma;yeah that sounds fine with me!! do you want an interaction thread between them first or would you rather skip straight to the adoption thread?

@EVERYONE I'll be responding to all threads later tonight!!! been busy all day oops
[/fancypost]

Dallas froze at the sound of the voice, fearing he'd been caught. But the voice had called him by name. He turned to see a familiar face. "Whoa, long time no see," the seal-point breathed in surprise, feeling himself relax immediately at the sight of his half-sibling. He almost felt guilty honestly, he had never been very good at keeping in contact with everyone in his life. Truthfully, Span--of course, he remembered him as Immy--was probably one of the few family members he had left.

"Man, how've you been? Everything been ok over at ShadowClan?" His birthplace. And yet he didn't feel as attached to it as he felt he should. He'd only spent the first few days of his life here though, not really time to build lasting memories.
[/fancypost]
