"Mr. Saltshaker!" Kate would announce upon her arrival, shaking the sand out of her pelt. Her black fur was a bit messy but she didn't care - there were more things to focus on in life. Right now, bonding with her Clanmates. Something that she needed to set more time apart to do, since she was a councilwoman after all. [b]"Hey guys, I'm Kate!" she'd announce in a sign-song voice, blue eyes travelling around those gathered and her tail waving. [b]"I thought we were friends, Tsuki," she'd quip playfully, pretending to swat the Japanese blonde with her tail.

Kate smiled in return to the feline, wondering what was going on in Rosemary's head. Was SunClan giving a good first impression? She hoped so, and knew that it was her job to make sure the newcomers felt welcomed. It warmed her heart to see her Clanmates taking care of that just now. "I'd love to show you around!" she'd quip happily.

Whatever a positivity jam was, Kate had never heard of such a thing. However, she took this as a sign that it was open to her own interpretation and she'd give 'Phanny' a brisk nod, grinning widely. "I got you, Phanny," she'd yap, before adding hastily, [b]"Just kidding, I'll stop calling you that now." The ebony canine then stood and trotted away, wondering how she'd do this.

This meeting was more generic, and Kate listened with her ears high on her head. Nothing too important, a few promotions here and there. Someone to host the weekly tasks? Kate liked to volunteer for those things, so the lab would lift her head and call out, "I can help with tasks!" She and Omorose had hosted the commune guild meeting which was good - no warnings for them there. They'd need to get things up and running soon, though. [b]"Good job, guys!" she barked, tail wagging as she listened to the rest of the meeting. The prospect of titles was what really excited her, and she looked up with bright blue eyes, waiting for Phan to continue the meeting.

"Not at all!" she assured the leader, blue eyes darting to the leader's figure. [b]"Since there are some allies that don't have ambassadors, I thought that it would be important that we're still keeping up with them. I can go take some gift baskets to some of them, and ask some other members of the commune guild to help too. Just so our allies will know that we still care, ya know?" That was a mouthful - she'd sit and look expectantly at the wolf.

She had been instructed to hold a positivity jam, and although she didn't know what that was it didn't stop her from hosting one. Kate's interpretation of a positivity jam was something like a mix between a dance party and a meet and greet, so she'd set up a boombox in the center of the Aztec city with a little basket of food and switch on some upbeat, happy music. Songs like 'Stronger' and 'Just The Way You Are' would play in her positive playlist as she called out, "Hey guys! Positivity jam - get your booty over here and let's dance and be friends." Swaying to the beat, Kate waited for someone to come up, wondering if her new friend Dominic would attend.

Oops, Kate hadn't been paying attention to the others' weekly tasks. She made a mental note to do so, and gave her leader an acknowledging dip of her head. "Sounds good, Phan!" she said, before standing and bounding off.

Ah, it was a bit like Kate to be late for her own event. In this case, it was just handing out weekly tasks, but that was still quite important and vital to the well-being of the Clan. Already, there were six people lined up to receive tasks, so Kate decided to take the weight off of Iason's shoulders and help him out.
"Could you hold some kind of lesson on anything you'd like? Reading, hunting, math, it's up to you," the lab mix would say to Bridgette, someone whom she didn't know but looked quite like herself.
Next was Omorose, and Kate visibly relaxed at the familiar face. [b]"Omorose, could you host some type of party game?" she'd ask of the sha creature, blue eyes glinting.
Heavenlypup was next, and Kate smiled at the eager canine who reminded her of herself. [b]"Heavenly, could you arrange some kind of game or small social event with one of our allies?"
Hunter - someone she hadn't seen in a while but who was refreshingly familiar. [b]"Hunter, could you take a few others and go hunting?"
The little kit whom Kate didn't recognize but was quite excited put a fresh grin on the fem's face, and she peered down at him. [b]"Can you learn how to fish? Maybe teach a few others too!" She didn't know Junkkit's name, but she made a mental note to meet him later.
Then there was the Saltshaker himself. The nickname inspired Kate for what she'd assign him, and a sneaky grin made its way onto her face. [b]"Tsuki, hold a cooking lesson on a food of your choice!" She ended in an uplifting tone, almost one of a sing-song manner. That was everyone taken care of for now.

The spread was lovely, and Kate flounced over with a bright smile on her maw. Not only was the day and scenery beautiful, but seeing her Clanmates gathered happily brought a benevolent feeling into Kate's heart. Not to mention that food always put her into a better mood.
Settling down near Hiyori, Kate turned her bright blue gaze to whom she assumed the hostess was - Scarletletter. The Councilwoman didn't recognize the fem, but she would give her a bright smile and open her mouth. "This looks great! My name is Kate, I don't think we met." The lab would lick her paw once and look expectantly at Scarletletter.

She hadn't been expecting her name to be called, and her blue eyes widened as she heard it in Phan's manipulated growls. Stepping forward with the others and gazing around in amazement, she returned her focus to the leader and listened to her words. A Loyalist? That sounded really cool, and Kate managed a wide smile as she took the badge from the wolf. "This is awesome, thank you Phan!" she murmured with awe, grate sparkling in her oceanic optics.

Seeing Castiel materialize out of seemingly thin air made Kate give an involuntary flinch, as she wasn't used to teleportation, but she gave a little laugh as she realized it was Castiel. He was slightly familiar, just enough so Kate could recognize him as her Clanmate. With a pang she realized that she was really slacking on getting to know her Clanmates, but that wasn't the point. Right now she had to focus on handing out tasks, and searching Cas' face, well, Kate realized how she didn't know him enough to assign him a task that she'd think he'd like. She'd wing it - that's how she was going through life right now anyways. "Great! Can you host a barbecue cook-out or something? Get the Clan together." There were a lot of these tasks, but no such thing as too much bonding time... according to Kate, at least.
Next was Hunter, and Kate gazed at the boxer with admiration. He was going through these tasks so fast; she didn't have that kind of speed. [b]"Hunter, learn some of SunClan's history and teach it to a group of Clanmates."

This Kate was a little late in coming over - the black lab had been drawn over because of the unfamiliar scents and voices that she caught. The majority of her time these days was spent at the border, either greeting joiners or talking to foreigners. She was busier than she realized, and in her coming over she realized with a pang that she was missing out some of her free time. Was she carrying too much weight on her shoulders? Lost in her thoughts, the Councilwoman suddenly realized that she had arrived at the small group at the border.
Hitching her shoulders up, blue eyes bright, Kate realized that she could recognize the scent wafting off of the white tigress and her companion. WindClan - a Clan of the moors that Kate loved so much. Already, she felt a smile curling upwards on her lips and her ebony tail began to wag, an unconscious action that happened to her so often.
Hearing the tigress' words and seeing the basket of gifts, Kate assumed that the medic intern was here bearing gifts. With a smile on her face, she realized that she and Jericho were talking about gardening - and Jeri was a perfect person to discuss that with. The little medic of SunClan's garden was one to boast about, and yet the small ginger tabby kept his humbleness and never bragged about anything. The conversation was so sweet, so innocent, that it pushed Kate's smile wider and she couldn't help but butt in. "Oh yes, Jericho's garden is beautiful! You should definitely come see it," she chirped, her voice as loud as ever. [b]"My name is Kate, welcome to SunClan! What's yours?" Little did she know, she was speaking to someone of the same name.

Kate had seen plenty of weird individuals in her time, but she still felt a slight tug of suspicion in her gut as she trotted up to the russet wolf (?). They were just.. unnatural looking, horrifying in an underlying way that slid its fingers up and down her heart without being outright scary. She attempted to hide any judgement from her blue eyes, focusing on appearing friendly and optimistic. After all, she had met many weird looking individuals with big hearts. And despite the creepy sweetness that stained the wolf's voice, Kate poured as much friendliness as she could muster into her own. "Hey, I'm Kate. I'm a Councilwoman here, how can I help you?"
The lab was oblivious to the signals that were being sent towards one of her own Clanmates, perhaps just how the stranger wanted. Kate swallowed once and focused her vision on the wolf, waiting for a reply.

The last high position meeting had been a while back, and upon hearing the awaited words Kate came trotting over with her ebony tail waving behind her. She certainly wasn't among the first to get here, but after a quick scan of the room she decided with relief that she wasn't the last. "Hey, guys," she'd quip in her usual manner, which was loud and jaunty. Her pleasant mood was visibly let down a bit as she heard the dripping sarcasm in Cory's voice. Kate's black ears, which just a moment ago had been high on her head, lowered and her smile dissipated. Why was there bickering already? It was summer and there was no excuse for fighting. She cleared her throat and looked around, waiting for someone to start the meeting.

The large group at the border attracted Kate over and with wide blue eyes she'd grin at the center of attention, whose fangs also caught Kate's focus. She had known vampires before, and certainly none as polite as this one. Therefore, Kate wasn't frightened of the feline, and on an impulse decided to go straight out and introduce herself.
"Hello, Fadedtattoo! I'm Kate," the lab would chirp in a friendly tone, although her oceanic optics widened slightly at the tone that the joiner was using with Phan. However, she couldn't be blamed - she had just joined, after all, and Phan hadn't quite introduced herself as the leader of the whole Clan.
The black lab mix sat on her haunches, looking expectantly at the albino wolf and wondering what the response would be. If Phan was too busy to show Fade around, then Kate would be the first to offer a tour. Based on the first impression that Fade had given them, Kate decided that she was likeable enough and made a mental decision to become friends with this feline.

Yes, Kate certainly did not like this guy. As she watched with wide oceanic optics Junkkit's and Lirim's exchange, her fur fluffed out and her ears rose defensively. When Junkkit shrank back behind her once more, Kate took a protective stance in front of her little Clanmate. In the past few minutes, so much had just happened that Kate had forgotten why Lirim was even here. RiverClan merging with the Knights of Eden wasn't information that was vital to SunClan's well-being, at least, so Kate wasn't too worried about forgetting what he had said. The lab was preoccupied with the dark creature that was beginning to overstay his welcome.
"Er, Lirim, sir," Kate began in what she hoped was a neutral tone, blinking with a hardened gaze as she gazed at Lirim. She had the strange feeling that he knew everything about everyone and was capable of much more than he was letting on - and it made her feel very violated.
[b]"Not to be rude, but, uhm, thank you for the gifts.. maybe we can catch up another time?" Her words were much more polite than her tone, which had a note of urgency in it that suggested she wasn't looking for trouble. Staring at him, she found herself thoroughly unnerved by his appearance and just his general aura.

Kate never liked to cuss herself, although every day she had become adjusted to hearing it from her Clanmates. It was inevitable to live in a Clan without having to accustom yourself to your environment, which Kate learned quite quickly and had done so for the past year as more and more people came and went from SunClan. However, she had never met a joiner present themselves so rudely, and it drew Kate over quickly with a hardened expression.
"That's not a nice way to introduce yourself to your new home," the lab mix stated with a steely tone, a pout on her maw. She couldn't help but feel offended - not for herself but SunClan as a whole as well. She couldn't exactly turn him away, everyone had a right to cuss. However, rudeness was breaking the rules, wasn't it? Kate made a mental note to keep an eye on him.
[b]"Did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed?" Her voice was less grave this time, a familiar hint of amusement audible to those who strained. She didn't know if she was trying to piss him off or not, but this wasn't a good first impression - that was for sure.

Welcome to SunClan, Bluepaw. I'm Kate." Her voice was dripping with exaggeration, especially on the joiner's name. Although her tone was less than friendly, nobody could say anything about her words being rude. They weren't - just the way she chose to express them. [b]"Can I have the pleasure of offering you a tour, sir?"

"Cat left?" Those were the first words to leave Kate's mouth before she even realized she had said them. Prickling heat of embarrassment crept into her cheeks as she realized what she said, and she swished her tail, trying to save herself. The emotions that came with this news would have to be saved for later. [b]"Sorry, I didn't know that."
So, events. That's what all these meetings seemed to be about - although they were getting boring, Kate did have to admit that it was crucial in order to keep activity up. [b]"I agree with Iason. The choose your own adventure sounds cool, but how would it work?" Yes, she had basically just echoed the dragon, but right now she felt stressed for no reason at all.

The meeting started off generic, as many meetings seemed to go. Kate smiled as Phan introduced herself and began with a welcome towards all the newer members of the clan. The leader was right - there were lots of joiners and SunClan was thriving with no chaos in sight. Kate was slowly getting over her previous feelings about how SunClan was changing, and was starting to feel acceptance.
As Phan then started in on how some of the SunClanners had been rude to joiners, Kate bit her lip and turned her gaze. She knew exactly which incident the leader was talking about, and was regretting it already. A quick scan of the crowd showed that Bluepaw was nowhere in sight, and the black lab felt a bit of relief stir up inside of her that she wouldn't have to face the newest Clanmate.
Starting off with demotions was sad. Kate always felt a bit embarrassed during this part - she didn't know what to do. Some people said their condolences, but the lab had no idea what that meant. Luckily there weren't too many demotions this week. At least there were enough promotions to match that number. And then suddenly, her name was called. Kate's eyes widened and she had to process what Phan had said - Kate was now a deputy? Suddenly realizing her mouth was open in surprise, she quickly snapped it shut and beamed in her leader's direction. "I'm honored, Phan. Thank you, I'll make sure to serve you the best I can!" It was true her activity had dropped, but she was working to get it up with her limited access to her computer. Fur scorching in embarrassment and pride, Kate dipped her head, unable to wipe the smile off her face.
