It had been a while since Kate had seen someone dancing - real dancing, letting your body succumb to the rhythm and move of its own accord. That was how Kate liked dancing, but last time she'd been stared at like she had issues. So, hearing a gravelly voice singing, sending clouds of gray and light purple into her vision, accompanied by music. The colors didn't match, but they did too in a way Kate wouldn't have expected. She decided this meant that she should join in, and join in Kate did.
The black lab didn't know the song but she would join anyways, moving in time to the music like Dominic. Maybe not as spastic but still in a way that was comfortable and letting loose. Perhaps she should have felt weird about joining into dance with someone whom she didn't know, but he was a SunClanner and anyways she was done caring about what people thought of her. Right now she just saw this as an excellent opportunity to make a friend.

Kate could already tell that she'd like this guy. His attitude was awesome and she knew that she wouldn't be the only one dancing at the next party. He looked like the inverse of herself, with his pure alabaster fur and pink eyes. The two canines dancing were opposites - black and white, blue and pink male and female - but it was a contrast that Kate liked.
She noticed his dancing slowing a bit so that it mirrored hers, and she let out a little laugh as she kept moving to the music. "Hey there!" she replied in an equally friendly tone, blinking her oceanic optics and noticing Nosferatu. Her eyes widened - she knew him, didn't she? But she didn't say anything, unsure if this was the guy from old SunClan or not. She focused on not missing a beat, turning her gaze to Dominic. [b]"What's your name?"

Kate had been more zoned out than not during the latest meeting, but she did recall Phan saying something about the Councilmembers holding meetings within their guilds, so here she was in the Aztec city that was SunClan's camp. She was in a stone building that wasn't too far from the center of camp, where vines crawled up the walls but openings in the stone allowed light to flow through. It was a quaint little building, suitable for the first meeting of the Commune guild.
She knew that it wasn't as popular as the Espionage guild by far, but perhaps it was the second most popular? Kate wasn't sure, but she'd see who was in the Commune guild soon enough. Namely, in a few minutes. She padded to the doorway, stuck her head out, and scanned up and down. "Any members of the Commune guild or looking to join, I'm holding a meeting," she'd call out, blue eyes flashing.
There was no set agenda - this was the first meeting, after all, and Kate was mainly focused on seeing who'd show up. She wasn't sure if Omorose was still the Co-Head of the Commune guild, but she'd find that out today. The lab liked the sha creature, but wasn't sure if the feelings were mutual or not. Kate was quite headstrong and abrupt, not at all thoughtful like Omorose.
She cleared her throat and sat, oceanic optics glittering, and waited to see the first one to show up.

The first one to enter was Austin, whom Kate would acknowledge with a dip of her smile as her lips curled up into a smile. Ever since the cream tabby's joining, he'd been around a lot and she thoroughly enjoyed his attitude - naturally, she was joyed that he had joined the Commune guild. "Hey, Austin!" she'd answer, her tail waving back and forth. [b]"I'm good, thank you!" She had been about to inquire further about his day, but Tsuki rushed in next and she turned her attention to him. [b]"Hey, Tsuki!" she'd quip cheerfully, then give a polite dip of her head to Sweetpaw.
Her eyes glittered as Omorose came in, her counterpart in leading the Commune guild. She knew that sometimes she could act like she was overpowering him even if it wasn't intentional, so when he took the reigns she gave him a grin. He said it better than she could have, anyways.
[b]"Yep!" She'd respond to Tsuki's input, glad that the intelligent blonde was here. Kate's vision would flicker over to Phan, whom she assumed was there to supervise, and she'd give her a slight nod before turning back to those gathered. [b]"Now, for SunClan's social events, I'd say we have a pretty good start. Tsuki has his culture week, we have our carnival, and some other ideas that are being thrown around. Any other important ideas to go over?" Was she doing this right? Kate was completely unsure but would sit back and feign confidence.

Kate had been aimlessly wandering and had nearly missed her friend's visit. In fact, she wouldn't have even seen Kyou at all if she hadn't come across her as she was saying her goodbyes and leaving. The SeaglassClanner seemed to be in a rush, so Kate would hold off from keeping her any longer than usual, but she raised her voice in a friendly tone at her friend's retreating back. "Sorry I missed you, Kyou, but thank you for the gifts! I'll come visit ASAP!"

Kate came across unusual things every day - it was inevitable, what with the new territory that she was still trying to familiarize herself with. But she seldom came across flaming animals. In fact, this must be the first time. Padding over with confusion twinkling in her aqua optics, she'd clear her throat. "Welcome to SunClan, I'm Kate," she'd begin in an unsure tone. [b]"Uh, are you okay?"

In the Aztec city there was a clearing not too far from the center of camp that Kate knew would be perfect for setting up her contribution to the Summer Carnival - a dunk tank. She had set up a large, almost cage-like structure with a diving-board like piece on the interior that jutted out where she'd sit, a foot or so above a mini pool of water. There was a glass window so when Kate fell from the board, she would be visible to those from the outside. It was connected to the large, brightly painted wall with a black button in the middle, and was decorated with poorly drawn suns with lots of color. It had taken her all week to prepare, but she was ready.
The black lab sat in the cage, dangling her front paws and sporting a pair of bright blue shades. Her pink tongue lolled slightly from her mouth as she panted, looking like a typical canine. Hopefully getting dunked in the water would feel good - her black coat seemed to just soak up every bit of sun there was shining today. Multicolored rubber balls were in a bucket a few feet away from the dunk tank, and she had drawn a line where her Clanmates would have to stand behind in order to throw the balls at the button. There were also some bags of popcorn in case anyone got hungry, just to add to the carnival spirit.
"Step up to the dunk tank and try your luck at dunking me!" She'd project her voice as loud as she could muster, anticipating the next person to join.

Kate was utterly confused as to why this serval cub seemed to be dying from the inside out. His eyes were squeezed shut and his words sounded like they had taken a tremendous amount of effort to be forced out. If talking hurt so bad, then why was he trying?
"Welcome to SunClan, Criticalkit," the black lab began with uncertainty, her blue eyes glimmering with confusion. [b]"I'm Kate. Are you okay?" An underlying note of concern was audible in her tone as she spoke to the serval, almost afraid of the answer.

This was the first carnival event that Kate had attended so far besides her own, and a smile was curled onto her lips as her eyes caught the festive sight of the multicolored apples bobbing up and down in the water. "Nice!" The lab would grin, watching with approval in her blue eyes and an undoubtable twinkle of excitement. She wasn't quite sure what bobbing for apples was, since she'd never done it before, but trying new things was an excitement to the Councilwoman whose tail was wagging wildly.
[b]"So, how do we do it?" She was eager to try, especially because the water would probably feel refreshing on her face. She got overheated easily, because of the thickness of her ebony coat, so any coolness was welcome.

Indeed, another canine was padding along the coast of SunClan's main island. This one had a thick ebony coat that seemed to absorb the sunlight and bright blue eyes. Kate tended to stick by the water more often than not these days because as summer grew closer the days grew hotter and the cool ocean water was a relief from the constant heat. Spotting an unfamiliar canid, she'd immediately trot over and offer him a smile.
"Hey there!" she'd call out as she neared the male, enviously noticing his short (?) fur that surely didn't drag him down. [b]"My name is Kate, and welcome to SunClan! How can I help you?"

It seemed that there was no Immy in sight, so Phan was burdened with thinking up and handing out tasks for everyone gathered. It was with regret that Kate came bounding up as well, blue eyes glittering as she possessed the same intent as all the other SunClanners there. "Er, sorry Phanny. Can I get one too?" she spoke up loudly.

"When is culture week?" Kate would inquire as she padded over, trying to imagine which culture she could present on. The canine's only background was of SunClan, but with enough research maybe she'd be able to do, well, something.

Voices near the border drew the black lab mix over on light pawsteps. Her thick tail waving merrily behind her, Kate trotted up to the group where she recognized nearly everyone except for a pretty feline that smelled of something unfamiliar. From Heavenlypup's greeting, Kate assumed that the stranger was joining, and a smile crept onto Kate's muzzle. Every day SunClan got loads of joiners, but meeting them all never got boring for they each had individual traits, physical and mental, that set them apart from each other. Kate wondered what this one would be like.
"Hey! Welcome to SunClan, my name is Kate!" she'd chirp as she settled into the group, hoping that Rosemary wasn't overwhelmed by the number of SunClanners. [b]"Would you like a tour?" It was always nice to offer, being the leader of the commune guild, and it provided a way for the new Clanmate to feel welcomed.

Kate knew her fair share of wolves, but this one with distinctive alabaster speckles was unfamiliar. Padding up to hear what she was saying, the black lab managed to catch the words 'meet and greet'. Kate seemed to attend one of these each day, but they were helpful in getting to know new people - not just the hosts but also the SunClanners who attended. Therefore it was with a smile that Kate would trot over, tail wagging merrily, and dipping her head once. "Hey, my name is Kate. How long have you been here?" The lab mix liked to ask questions at meet and greets to spice it up and allow for conversation to be started, rather than just throwing around names that were easy to forget. She sat back and leaned forward on her haunches before blinking once, her attention focused on the sleek wolf.

"Oh! So we have some time," she mused, mostly just so she had something to say. About a month - she'd be able to research a culture and set up a day for it, wouldn't she? The question was, which would she choose?
Sitting back, Kate would mull over it for a second until an idea came to her. Looking up, blue eyes glittering, she'd ask, [b]"I have an idea! Could I do French? It would probably mostly be about the food, but I can try to learn as much as I can about the French!" Her tone was stained with eagerness and she was excited at the prospect of contributing to culture week.

Kate was standing outside of Phan's den silently save for the tapping of her paw on the floor. She was here only briefly to ask Phan a question - one that involved the allies. It was nothing major, just something that she wanted to get the okay for. Being a Councilwoman of the commune guild, it was in her responsibility to keep up the interactions with the allies, and that's why she was here.
