"Ugh, I need to find water. This desert is really dry." A female goat was walking through the hot desert, her leather canteen was low on water. She needed to find a water source quickly.
She sighed. She had to refrain from playing her recorder, as that would make her even thirstier. The peach-colored goat flicked her tail, the rings clinking slightly.
After another half-hour of tireless walking, the musician could see the faint outline of a body of water. She sped up her pace, the need for water making her go faster.
Reaching the lake, finally, she takes a generous gulp of the water, before bringing out her canteen to fill it. The goat sits down to rest, and unclips her instrument from her belt and plays a joyous tune.

Tarana was swaying slightly to the melody she was playing. It was one of the tunes her mother taught her. The goat didn't notice the shadow that was approaching in the water, she was too engrossed in playing. Once the creature spoke up was when she snapped out of it. Tarana looks up, immediately seeing a fox.. with tentacles? She lets out a surprised yelp, falling on her back. She quickly composes herself, clipping her instrument back onto her belt before asking, "Oh- um, hello. Who are you?"
-
Tarana smiled at the fox. "Hello, Tako, I'm Tarana," she thought before speaking up again, "do you live down there, perhaps?" the goat gestured with her snout towards the surface of the water. As she glanced at the water, she saw another shadow emerging, and this time, Tarana mentally prepared herself.
Tarana cocked her head once the shadow was revealed. It was a colorful feline, who was wearing a neat looking hat and a bow. How could it even breathe underwater? The goat was caught in surprise, the wet furry arm going around her neck. She looked between the two before her. They were an interesting bunch.

"H-hey! Can't we all get along?" The goat gently lowered the fox's arm that was in front of her, before waddling into the water. She moved her hooves around, trying to shoo the remaining fish away from the feline's wrath. She then turned her head at the feline. "Yes, I'm not familiar with this area. I travel around, I don't stay in one place for long." She ignored the flirty quip, and looks between the two again. "Would you both like to start over?"
-
IC:
The goat claps her hooves together gleefully, they seem willing to tolerate each other. She nodded at the fox's response. "Do you know this area well then, either of you? Deserts are not my favorite place to be in." She waits for the two to become acquaintances, unclipping the recorder from her belt and played a soft tune.
