She tried desperately to think of something to say, in hopes of making the Vizier smile, fake or not. She could not, so she just settled for something else "Am I invited to your crazy Academic and Vizier parties now?" She asked, feigning seriousness. The more she thought about it though, maybe Will and Subaru did have parties.

"His name is Kevin and he is here to join?" The child answered The Vizier's question, though her response sounded much like a question. Kevin - if that really was his name - was very strange. A bloodstained strange object was not a normal object she would imagine seeing someone carry. Maybe a knife or something, but not whatever that thing was.

    Maggie didn't fall into deep thought often, because that included (usually) being alone for an extended amount of time. But, with the civil war and Sutton and Subaru, she had been starting to be lost in her thoughts more. At this time, she was having one of those moments, and, like Subaru, walked through the jungle with her head tilted upwards. She could have been thinking of a lot of things, the civil war, her promotion, how to help the tribe row stronger. She didn't think about any of those things, instead her thoughts lingered on a certain vampire. The image of him, looking so broken as he stood over the deceased loner haunted her. Not only because of the fact that a murder had been committed, but because of the look on his face. He seemed... unstable.




    The young Lynx saw the campire in question from afar, and quickly approached him. As she skipped over, she smiled at the vizier, glad to see him. "Hey Subaru!" She greeted, nearly completely forgetting her thoughts from earlier. "You ok?" Maggie didn't see anything unusual about him, but she asked anyways. She was sure that, if anything was wrong, he would tell her, since they were best friends.




    She hadn't thought about how he had told her to stay away from him, or how he had told her not to trust him. Maybe she had completely disagreed with him, so she ignored his warnings. Maggie had caught the tom after he had murdered, but she would still insist that he was pure of heart. He had not meant to, at least she thought so, so he was not evil, or bad. She would not, and probably never would, believe that there was anything bad about Subaru.

She didn't sense the awkwardness, and took it as a sign to mean that he was sad. She grew worried for him, and took a step closer, frowning slightly. At his response, she smiled momentarily. He was so grumpy all of the time, but she was sure that there was something else beneath. "I was just thinking." She stated vaguely, as if that was an acceptable answer for his question.




    At his next words, she furrowed her own feline eyebrows. "Because I care?" She answered, frowning once more. "Are you sure you're fine?" She took another step closer, and was definitely in his personal bubble. She had never really pressured anyone for an answer, especially not Subaru, so she wasn't sure what to expect. She did not expect a straight response, or his thanks for worrying about him. Of course, he wouldn't hurt her, or make her cry. Then what did she expect?




    Maggie really knew nothing about Subaru's past, or anything that he thought about. Would she feel differently if she did know? Probably not. He seemed to have had a lot going on in his life, especially back when his brothers were around. The young Academic had met one of the Sakamaki brothers, Ayato, as she'd heard Subaru call him. He had been very scary, and she had taken shelter behind Sutton for the entire confrontation. She vaguely remembered something about Syato being older, but that was about it. Maybe she would ask him, if she she remembered.

She probably would have planned a party, and gotten some extravagant and useless present, as well as tried her best to embarrass the vizier. But, since she did not know, this was just any other day of running into the feline. "Hey Subaru!" She greeted him in her usual manner, and approached skipping. "You look really happy today!" She commented, though he had nothing out of the ordinary about him. Maybe she had meant her words as a compliment, or maybe she had just been trying to catch him off guard. Either worked, in the situation. She sat down in front of him, smiling widely, and waited for his response.

"Why are you nervous?" She asked, scooting a few inches closer, and tilting her head curiously. If Subaru didn't want her to find out, he was going to have to try extra hard, because he had already given her something that she could pry at. He was probably just happy, and he didn't want her to know. That was definitely it, she thought.




    Subaru didn't want Maggie to attach herself to him, but the way he was acting only drew her in more. She would be tough to push sways, if he even succeeded. And, since she knew that he had a knack for avoiding her questions or giving vague answers, she put on her best serious face. "Tell me the truth." She tried to speak in a commanding tone, but it was not much different than usual. Never the less, she was proud of her 'demanding' tone, and couldn't help but smile.

Upon seeing Kevin, she frowned. She didn't really want to be alone with this guy, but someone else would probably show up if she started talking to him. "Hi there Kevin!" she spoke as if she was talking to a child "What are you doing?" She asked, watching his mysterious ceiling dance. She wondered what sort of power would allow him to do that, but she couldn't think of one. She smiled at the tom, though it was mostly fake and meant for politeness. She would probably loosen up once they weren't the only ones in the temple.

She yawned widely, but with her eyes closed she tripped and fell directly onto the lounging Kevin. "Oh! I'm sorry!" She meowed, rolling off of him and was, after a few tries, back on her feet.




    She had not heard the strange voice since before she fell from the tree and broke her leg, but she wondered about it sometimes. She came to the conclusion that it was just her imagination, but somewhere in the back of her mind, she knew that it could be, and more likely was, something else. Maybe she was possessed, or she could hear ghosts. What if another triber had startled her, or an enemy.

There was Kevin, and maybe Subaru, and then everyone else. Not that Levin was bad... Ok he was pretty weird. The Lynx always found herself wondering why he was always covered in fresh blood. Did he murder people? Did he have some sort of weird curse? Regardless of why he was covered in blood, Maggie did not want to be near him. She approached the scene at a trot, and stopped about a yards to the male's right.




    "Hello there!" She called, smiling at the whatever that thing was. She really could not tell. "This is the tribe of many storms!" She added, then waited politely for a response. She sat down, looking up at the stranger curiously. Maybe she was another joiner, that would be interesting.

She felt afraid after seeing his face, which appeared to have a slightly angry expression. She tried her best not to squirm under his gaze, or shiver at his unnerving smile. "Good morning to you, too, Kevin!" she offered a greeting of her own, though it was spoken in the manner which she always spoke to him with. She dared not speak to him like she would Will or Subaru. "Yes, I am Maggie." she answered, a forged smile resting on her features.




    She almost felt bad for the tom, he was not normal, or stable, it seemed. Maybe something traumatic had happened in his life which had caused him to spiral into insanity. He could have been possessed, or bipolar. There were lots of possibilities, and most of them led to the child feeling badly for Kevin. But, for some reason, she couldn't feel too bad, not with how unnerving he was. His unnatural smile, and empty, glassed orbs for eyes. At least, his eyes reminded her of glass orbs, the way they had no emotion. She shivered, and quickly attempted to cover it up with a shake of her flecked white fur. A few plant particles fell to the floor, and she hoped that her cover-up had been successful. She did not want to make the new member mad.
