"huh." Was all Nico had to offer as he twitched his tail nervously. This is where the conversation got rocky. Either it would continue to be awkward, Roman would see his struggle and throw him a bone, or Nico could simply walk away, leaving Roman with no choice but to hate him for the rest of eternity. Or, at least that's what Nicostrata thought. "Is there a-any particular rules to this pebble tossing?" He questioned, trying to converse.

Nico bounded to the border, tail tip flicking nervously. He wasn't sure that the supposed messenger had so say, but he hoped it wasn't war. Anything but war.

He padded over to Miyu and say, giving a respectful nod towards the CEO.

Nico, being the avid reader that he is, read the sign clearly, speaking out loud for others to hear. "Airport. It's a two leg building used for flying." He explained, his voice slightly firmer than usual. He seemed to realize, and began to nervously lick down his chest fur.

Nico shrugged, then walked towards the water, leaping in. He felt a large, body shaking shiver go down his spine as the water soaked his belly fur. He did his best to ignore the chill that has enveloped him from the water, and waited for the game to start.

Nicostrata had 'just happened' to be accompanying Miyu. When the CEO had left the group t the front of the airport, he had said, albeit softly, that he would go along. This meant, that Nicostrata had absolutely no idea if Miyu knew of his presence. He had no desire to startle the tom, nor did he want to seem creepy. So he just settled for a casual walk towards the loner, the only thing betraying his purposeful calm was the anxious flicking of his tail.

Nicostrata almost laughed at his name. Purely because it was just like his, but he brushed that thought aside. "Well..." He began, trying to think of how to word it. "We were w-wondering if we co-could live here too?" He attempted to ask, feeling nervous. He started to list off the names of stars in his head to calm himself down.

Tantsy, aloe, yarrow, borage... Oh, wait, those were herbs. He was so very flustered and confused he just settled for his anxiety filled thoughts, hoping nobody would see his inner turmoil.

Nico almost sighed in exasperation. He was aware of his own anxiety making it difficult to converse, but trying to pull Romanpaw into conversation was like pulling teeth. Really painful.

He smiled, tail beginning to twitch. "S-so how ha-has your day be-been going?" He asked, cursing the nervous stutter that crawled into his voice.

Nico froze under Miyu's stare, until he fully processed the question. "W-well no, not directly." He began, the old stutter creeping back into his voice. "Th-they use machines to do the flying for them. They're basically giant baskets with wings." He took a deep breath, happy with the explanation. It was how he had viewed it, so that was how he was going to share it.

Nico padded into the store, exploring for a bit of entertainment. It was there where he found the Manager, drinking a sort of two-leg beverage. He tried to snuffle his laughs as he watches, amused by the sight. Who knew that cats liked root beer? Nicostrata certainly didn't!

Nico stared at Rome, startled by the male's statement for a moment. "It's really ok." He said. "If there aren't any of them here, then they won't be coming back for their flyers." He paused, thinking. "Or, at least they most likely won't."

Nico looked at Miyu, concerned for the CEO. He wasn't quite sure how to respond to that statement. Miyu looked so determined, he didn't want to spoil his dreams.

""I-If they do, Which I doubt they will, W-we can figure something out, I'm S-sure!" He said, trying to bring some of Miyu's confidence into his voice.

You see, over the time that he had lived and traveled with The Enterprise, he had developed what he called his 'inner Miyu', who he depended on greatly on moments like these.

Even now, with actual-Miyu in front of him, he still had the small voice of inner-Miyu coaching him on. He was slightly concerned at how much inner-Miyu had to say, but he hadn't been asked to burn down a house, so that was a good thing.

And so, right now, inner-Miyu was screeching for him to cheer up the conversation. This urge came at an inopportune time, as Nico would have much rather shut up and let actual-Miyu do the talking.

    Oh well.

Nico ran to the scene, almost careening into a stray trashcan. He had picked up the scent of blood in passing, and had hurried to grab a roll of gauze, that he had brought with him . He bounded over to the fellow fox, then stopped in front of her.

"W-would you mind if I take a l-look at your paw?" He questioned, part panting and part stutter. He was aware that the Medic position wasn't filled, and because of his prior studies of herbs, hoped to be able to help the little joiner.

Nicostrata walked over to the group, just catching the last part of the exchange, He shrunk to the side as Aradia passed, but not as much as usual. The kitsune seemed sad, and he was sad for her,and regretted not helping defend her from whatever had happened to make her feel so low. He walked up to Rome, and pulled off a bag from the demiboy.

"Need some help?" He asked, feeling blessed that his inner-Miyu had helped him out. Both with the wording and his convenient lack of stutter.

"No pr-problem!" He replied, feeling happy to help. "Do you need me to p-pull off any more, or are y-you going to be able to do the rest on your own?"

Nico was fairly sure that was the most he had said in one sentence to anyone in the Enderprise. What could he say? He was in a helpful mood.

"H-Hello?" Nicostrata asked, walking towards the visitor. "M-may I a-ask your name and bu-business with The Enterprise?" He stuttered out, attempting a welcoming smile. Naturally, his gaze shifted to the herbs. They would be useful, seeing as they had just moved.

Nicostrata felt his ear flick in annoyance. He grabbed a pebble, and began to mimic Rome. And by mimic, he was failing miserably. His pebble never landed in the same place twice, and he could never hope to catch it. Whether it was from nerves, or a sheer lack of ability, the pebble continued to evade him, to his greatest annoyance.

Nicostrata was an early riser by nature. He went to bed late, and woke up early. It confused his parents too, but it's how he lived nonetheless.

As he was doing a morning walk around the airport, he just managed to see Miyu's sleeping form go down the baggage lane, going slowly towards the dark abyss of baggage hell. Nico ran towards the CEO, hoping he could be there in tine. "MIYU!" He called, stutter replaced by blatant worry.

Inner-Miyu could never replace Outer-Miyu! There was just simply no replacement for the happy-go-lucky winged cat. Not for Nico.
