[fancypost borderwidth=0px; bgcolor=; width: 350px; overflow: auto; height: 300px;]Ew, politics. Minaiben swore up and down that she was allergic to them, even as she approached this 'Taintedvirtue', she could feel her skin begin to crawl.
Maybe that was a burr or something, but the point was that she didn't want to be around and witness or engage someone looking for an audience. In the time it took for Christian to get here, Minai suspected she'd have messed up.
    "Ew."

Wait, crap no. That's not what she meant to say!
"Sorry! I didn't mean that - not about you, or what you said. More in general about my own attitude towards people's proclivities towards certain actions and behaviours, and the general acceptance of - I'm rambling. I'm sure our leader will be about soon."

She preferred the trees, all of a sudden.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; bgcolor=; width: 350px; overflow: auto; height: 300px;]"You know, I always thought I'd make a great squirrel. Infiltrate the trees from within and all that."

Minaiben didn't expect her words to be valued much higher than as background noise at this point - it surprised her when people listened to an extent where they understood what she meant, since she never analyzed what she meant. Like right now - she didn't know how to address the phenomena before her, so she reverted to childish humor and her familiar slapstick grin. The halla paused because Xing, noting the frown and speaking as though she was a much friendlier person than she believed herself to be.
"What's got you down? Other than the lack of limitations on what form you take."

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; bgcolor=; width: 350px; overflow: auto; height: 300px;]Minaiben was not the sort to go about gallivanting at night. She wasn't exactly the sort to not but recently her sleep schedule had been average in nature and involved being up during the day. There was only so much sunlight left before winter came around, and she wanted to enjoy it while she could.

But it was not daylight right now. It was night.

The moon hung heavy about the white halla, who moved as quietly as she could. Something troubled her; something that weighed her hooves and held low her head - far lower than usual, as though trying to duck under some invisible barrier. In truth, she had suffered an awful dream, one that featured a demon slaughtering everyone she loved.
The best part? The demon was familiar, and she wasn't sure where to draw the line between teh dream and reality.

So a nighttime walk would be deemed acceptable, she supposed. Perhaps she'd find a little adventure out under the light of the moon.
"Because obviously sleep and I are not friends any longer."

She mumbled to herself, raising her head just the slightest amount.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; bgcolor=; width: 350px; overflow: auto; height: 300px;]Ah - it felt like her pelt was her pelt again, and not some holding zone for the likes of whatever nature decided to throw at her. Of course, her indignant response to Samriel's jibes included the usual huff, and flaring of the nostrils. Her chin raised an increment and in a completely matter-of-factly tone, Minaiben replied.
"Hey, I'm not lying. The trees here simply won't be climbed and I'm tired of being told that halla shouldn't climb trees. I will succeed, one of these days."

She persisted, knowing full well her own limitations and choosing ot outright ignore them in a defiance against her very nature.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; bgcolor=; width: 350px; overflow: auto; height: 300px;]Minaiben was all for the meeting and greeting of fellow Boneclanners, bringing with her a usually bright energy that did not fail her this day. Carefree grin firmly in place, the elk pranced over to Kaiju and dipped her head, tilting it only the slightest so her antlers were held back and she could grin without fear of being unable to see.
"Minaiben Lavellan, at your service. So long as your service requires no more effort than is strictly required and has no longterm moral or emotional consequences or danger of committment."

She couldn't help her desire to be who she was, and 'cheeky egotist' happened to be included in her mental traits list.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; bgcolor=; width: 350px; overflow: auto; height: 300px;]Ooh, news? Minaiben wasn't sure exactly what that entailed, but she imagined it would be interesting to hear out the kid. He was a medic of sorts, wasn't he? That's all Minaiben really knew about him, though she supposed she would learn more right away, her slender legs bringing her to a halt nearby.
    "I'm all ears."

She piped up, flicking forwards said body parts and tilted her head just the slightest. The halla would then wait for the other to continue, with only a wary glance to Kili and Tauriel.

    [fancypost borderwidth=0px; height: 290px; width: 160px; background:url(http://i.imgur.com/cQSe2C4.png);][/fancypost]minaiben lavellen + single lady

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; bgcolor=; width: 350px; overflow: auto; height: 300px;]"That was beautiful."
Laughed the halla, though it did not quite reach her eyes. Draco's (for lack of a nicer word) graceful fall had been dangerously close to her intertwined antlers, but he'd landed just fine. Still, Minaiben was intrigued by the proposition he made. She didn't quite understand the purpose of a 'business card', but guessed it was a promotion of some sort. With a hum, the white halla spoke.

"Y'know, I'm good. Not sure what I'd use a business card for."

She noted, but soon after a very familiar voice tugged her attention to the form of her just recently sleeping brother. Immediately, she jumped to find a way to minimize her issue without lying (as lying to her brother would be too much, but she could certainly stretch the truth. Or squish it, in this case). and soon had the words necessary. With a more tense smile than usually graced her features, the halla spoke.
"Oh, you know - call of the wild, my natural tendency to do odd things, a couple bad dreams, and restlessness all got mixed into a pot and it turns out that makes for the perfect opportunity to go for a midnight stroll."

She rambled a little bit, but her words were well-pronounced even if rushed. She could do this, slip in the truth in a way that wouldn't highlight it. Of course, she still worried that he'd notice, as she was definitely not the more observant of the Lavellan siblings.

Luckily, there was another distraction in the form of a very small dog, and Minaiben lowered her head to stare at the strange creature. Also trying to sell something, go figure.
"Mm, you're so small. Does it get cold? Oh, sorry I should have answered you first. No, I'm alright - I could sleep but am currently choosing not to. Oh! And I'm one of the cheeriest people here!"

She defended herself with the usual cheeky grin spread across her face.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; bgcolor=; width: 350px; overflow: auto; height: 300px;]"I'm always up for a little spooksville."

Lied the white elk-halla, smiling even though internally she was screeching bloody murder. In truth, Minaiben tended to be a little bit... jumpy? Demons scared her, horror scared her, because of course they scared her. That was the point of scary things. However she wouldn't allow others to realize her very tenderly held secret, and for all anyone knew she was very tough.
She hadn't even freaked out when stuck in a tree being hunted by a mountain lion.
Probably because mountain lions were tangible things she could kick the crap out of, but that was besides the point.

    [fancypost borderwidth=0px; height: 290px; width: 160px; background:url(http://i.imgur.com/cQSe2C4.png);][/fancypost]minaiben lavellen + single lady

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; bgcolor=; width: 350px; overflow: auto; height: 300px;]Well, she did feel a little bit bad about picking up such a small creature, but to fight a larger predator would be inconvenient at the moment, and Minaiben wouldn't want to leave a double team out on the field.
    "Can you fly?"

She wondered aloud, still grinning as though the battle invigorated her. She was aware of the teeth clamping down on her antlers, so she rammed a tree first (hoping to shake off YAKONA) and then flung her head about, hoping to launch the small creature elsewhere.

    [/fancypost]
    [fancypost borderwidth=0px; height: 290px; width: 160px; background:url(http://i.imgur.com/cQSe2C4.png);][/fancypost]minaiben lavellen + single lady

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; bgcolor=; width: 350px; overflow: auto; height: 300px;]Huh. That was... pretty noble of Xing, actually. Minaiben would have struggled helping enemies, if only because she was simple minded enough to want to believe in straight forwards, black and white alliances and loyalties. She hadn't yet had a situation in which she felt inclined to help someone who wasn't an ally of some sort.
"That's... a good cause to have."

She noted, in a much more serious tone than she was used to using. In acknowledgement, she dipped her head in a familiar action, though now it had more meaning behind it.

    [/fancypost]
    [fancypost borderwidth=0px; height: 290px; width: 160px; background:url(http://i.imgur.com/cQSe2C4.png);][/fancypost]minaiben lavellen + single lady

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; bgcolor=; width: 350px; overflow: auto; height: 300px;]"Well, hello Tauriel! I'm Minaiben, in case you've forgotten me already. If that's the case, I'll try not to cry too loudly."

The white ungulate spoke easily, her words containing an almost eloquent flow, and if they hadn't been so informal, they might have sounded fancy. She was pretty used to being easy going, especially among clanmates, most of whom she enjoyed the company of. Tauriel was among them, though Minaiben wouldn't exactly consider her a 'friend' - at this point, she wasn't sure she had any 'friends'.
That wouldn't stop her from smiling and joining in on this meet and greet.

    [/fancypost]
[fancypost borderwidth=0px; height: 290px; width: 160px; background:url(http://i.imgur.com/cQSe2C4.png);][/fancypost]minaiben lavellen + single lady [fancypost borderwidth=0px; bgcolor=; width: 350px; overflow: auto; height: 300px;]Unlike her last encounter with a stranger on the border, Minaiben actually attempted some semblance of good behaviour, choosing to keep her mouth shut and her rambling thoughts internalized. No need to embarrass herself again, even though she did mumble something about 'birds and trees' being 'in cahoots'.

    [/fancypost]
    [fancypost borderwidth=0px; height: 290px; width: 160px; background:url(http://i.imgur.com/cQSe2C4.png);][/fancypost]minaiben lavellen + single lady

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; bgcolor=; width: 350px; overflow: auto; height: 300px;]"I've decided mornings are dull."
Grumbled the halla, mostly to herself. She had spent most of the night awake, in an outright refusal to sleep and succumb to bad dreams once more - however, that also meant she was terribly bored and without much to do. There was only so much grass one could eat before tiring of the admittedly bland taste.
So, upon seeing two clanmates already out and about, Minaiben trotted over with a grin, trying to keep the exhaustion from her eyes.
"Good morning I suppose - how are you tw-"

She had the bad feeling again, and stopped mid sentence, staring directly at Catherine. She didn't like the bad feeling, thus her mental nickname of it being the BAD feeling. However, if something was off, Minaiben quickly covered it up and was smiling again, a little more cautiously this time.
"Two. Sorry, my brain quit on me."

    [/fancypost]
    [fancypost borderwidth=0px; height: 290px; width: 160px; background:url(http://i.imgur.com/cQSe2C4.png);][/fancypost]minaiben lavellen + single lady

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; bgcolor=; width: 350px; overflow: auto; height: 300px;]Minaiben couldn't help but snicker a little bit at her brother's attempts at dagger work. Personally, she wasn't big on weapons, not that she could wield them anyways. Instead, she used a deadly mixture of kicking and waving about her antlers. Not pretty, but certainly useful.
"I don't know why you'd try daggers, they're not really your style brother."

Noted the halla, coming to a halt nearby with unabashed amusement plastered on her face. There really was no need for him to do so, at least in Minaiben's head. She might have been a little iffy on magic but it was certainly something she associated with her brother.
"Unless you've decided that sharp objects are suddenly not going to hurt you."

    [/fancypost]
    [fancypost borderwidth=0px; height: 290px; width: 160px; background:url(http://i.imgur.com/cQSe2C4.png);][/fancypost]minaiben lavellen + single lady

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; bgcolor=; width: 350px; overflow: auto; height: 300px;]"I'm fine Sam."
The halla assured, her voice not as confident as she had wished it to be. She might as well try to downplay it some more (completely unaware that she downplayed everything she didn't want people to worry about). With her smile still stubbornly trying to hide what frazzled emotion she had boiling inside of her.
"I am, really - it's only been for the last couple of weeks. It's just a bad dream, and I'm not a kid anymore, I can deal with it. No need to worry."

Minaiben assured once more, trying to ease her brother's concern.

    [/fancypost]
    [fancypost borderwidth=0px; height: 290px; width: 160px; background:url(http://i.imgur.com/cQSe2C4.png);][/fancypost]minaiben lavellen + single lady

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; bgcolor=; width: 350px; overflow: auto; height: 300px;]And Minaiben would have answered something similar to Samriel's response, having only one thing to add to his answer.
"He's not wrong. We wander - wandered I guess - a lot. Our clan is called clan Lavellan though, for the sake of clarification."
She explained, casting a friendly glance to her brother before focusing once more on Tauriel. It made her a little bit sad to think about the people that had been her family, her home - she missed it sometimes but after the shitstorm she had caused... Minaiben wasn't sure how well she would have fared under the disappointment of her elders. It didn't take long for her to leave.
She pushed those thoughts aside in favour of the situation at hand - immerse yourself in the present so you don't bury yourself in the past.

"How long've you been in Boneclan?"

She inquired, before her attention was swept up by the no-longer-spirit-douche Xing and a lady the halla did not recognize but smiled and nodded at. Allyson, it seemed. That was a nice name.
Marina was another decent name, though felt as strange as Allyson when she mouthed the names.

    [/fancypost]
    [fancypost borderwidth=0px; height: 290px; width: 160px; background:url(http://i.imgur.com/cQSe2C4.png);][/fancypost]minaiben lavellen + single lady

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; bgcolor=; width: 350px; overflow: auto; height: 300px;]Pregnant? Personally, pregnancy frightened Minaiben, as did relationships. Commitment at all, really. Still, she could feel happy for Nemo, as she assumed this is what he wanted.
"Congratulations - I'm pretty sure no one will mind if you take a break now and then, not sure how pregnancy works but I think it's exhausting. Probably."

Well, the halla wasn't an expert on such things, she barely understood the uses of marigold for the treatment of wounds.

    [/fancypost]
    [fancypost borderwidth=0px; height: 290px; width: 160px; background:url(http://i.imgur.com/cQSe2C4.png);][/fancypost]minaiben lavellen + single lady

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; bgcolor=; width: 350px; overflow: auto; height: 300px;]Minaiben was already up, and heard the frustrated sigh of the would-be tigress. Drawn as she was to curious situations, the elk poked her head into the vicinity and spoke with her usual, carefree tone.
    "Hey, everything alright?"

She hummed, not recalling this person's name but not about to ask (she didn't want to be too rude). However, she was intrigued by the sigh and couldn't pinpoint what was wrong initially, based on appearance alone.

    [/fancypost]
    [fancypost borderwidth=0px; height: 290px; width: 160px; background:url(http://i.imgur.com/cQSe2C4.png);][/fancypost]minaiben lavellen + single lady

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; bgcolor=; width: 350px; overflow: auto; height: 300px;]Great - losing that snake meant that he could be anywhere and Minaiben didn't like the creepy critter. He made her uneasy. To Tauriel, she grimaced and decided now would be the correct time to complain a little bit, voice her concern.
"I'm... never going to sleep until he's found. No offense, but creepy crawlies are not my friends, especially when they go missing."

Was that racist? Probably. But snakes man, they were freaky - at least Kili was.

    [/fancypost]
    [fancypost borderwidth=0px; height: 290px; width: 160px; background:url(http://i.imgur.com/cQSe2C4.png);][/fancypost]minaiben lavellen + single lady

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; bgcolor=; width: 350px; overflow: auto; height: 300px;]Flowers were not high on the elk's list of lovable things. She didn't not like them, she just didn't care. She was not vain, and did not pride herself on her appearance, so she didn't care what she wore. She could appreciate the happiness of her clanmate though, and pranced over with a grin on her face.
"Well, that's one way to do things."

She remarked with a grin, chuckling to herself about Dez and her leis wrapped about her. How odd, that she would do such a thing: it was cute, in another sense of course.

    [/fancypost]
