[fancypost bgcolor=; border: 0px; width: 320px; height: auto; text-align: justify; font-family: georgia; color: white; margin-bottom: -5px]Trafalgar was curious about everything, he wandered about fighting and weapons, healing and death, why the sun rose and fell each day to reveal a blanket of stars but what he was curious about most of all was trust. Some people had it and some people didn't. Some people were trusted while others weren't. Why? So far Traf had only had good experiences during his 2 months of being alive. His father watched over and cared for him and his brother, he had friends and other relatives as well as other people he could rely on for anything. As much as Traffy had seen had only led him to believe that life was pretty damn good, but that was a stupid ideal, one that always had to be proven wrong. Life was never perfect, people died and left, new people came and trouble rose in every direction, that's just how life is. Perhaps it was time Trafalgar realized the little lie of life he was living in.
Trafalgar had been 'patrolling' or rather he had been getting himself lost and simply calling it that, he held far too much pride to admit he was lost, just like any other sane man. A strange scent of desert and what he could only call a watery paradise reached his nostrils which only clouded his mind with confusion. This scent was so foreign to him, the scent of sand and the scent of salt water should've never been mixed as one and yet here it was, breaching his nostrils and causing his head to tilt at an angle. What a strange scent this was. The striped cub couldn't fathom such a scent and so he became curious. Traf set off to follow the scent towards the border of biome three where he found the source of the odd scent, an old lion. The lion was large and muscular, his eyes a piercing amber and spilt blood appearing to be his only intent.
Traf had never seen such an emotion before, it seemed angry and yet blissful at the same time, it confused the child but that didn't stop his quest to find answers for the peculiar scent. [b]"Excuse me sir, you, uh, i've never smelt this smell before, what is it?" he asked as he approached the stranger, a sparkle of curiosity brimming in the depths of his yellowy/grey gaze. The lion whipped his head around like a wheel and the child found himself surprised the adult hadn't given himself whiplash. The lions piercing amber gaze looked him up and down before a smile spread across the lion's maw, a creepy one to be completely honest. "This scent? So you haven't seen the beach before have ya kid?" he asked taking yet another step forward. Traf shook his head before cocking it to the side, the beach huh, what was a beach? The lion then walked past the child, his grin only spreading as his malicious intent grew "Follow me" the lion instructed and of course Trafalgar obeyed.
The pair hadn't been walking for long when they halted at the edge of the river that twisted through the biome, from the lions expansive knowledge of the territory it could only appear that he had been here before, though Traf couldn't be sure. The lion sat and Traf did as well, looking across the endless red sea beyond the river, it was rather pretty. Trafalgar was caught of guard as the lion began to speak again "A beach is like the edge, it's sand is the only things separating the land from the sea, and the sea separates us from who knows what. There's a lot for us to discover you know? The water there is salty and it doesn't taste very nice but it's great for swimming," the lion paused and turned his amber gaze on Traf "Have you ever gone swimming?" he asked.
Trafalgar was about to reply but he was never granted the chance to do so, the lions claws scraped down the boy's chest, tearing open his skin and allowing crimson to flow down his coat and match the red that surrounded him. His gaze blurred and blackened as pain caused him to scream out, the lion only taking this chance to shove him into the water. A large paw held him in place while the cub squirmed and kicked, managing to only gasp air in twice before he came to a terrifying stillness. The lion then left leaving the child face down in the water. The only proof someone besides Traf had been there was the scent of salt water that was now tainted with the scent of blood.
[ wow, uh, this is long. so basically traf tried to make a friend, got slashed across the chest and half drowned. from now on he will be terrified of water and will find it hard to trust people ] [/color]
