Terezi had gotten used to waiting for humans to come to the beach, but as these last few weeks had past, she had been seeing less and less. The water tempature mostly stayed the same, or in her opinion it did atleast. But usually when humans came less and less, that meant it was getting colder on the surface. So, the teal mermaid would stay during what they called "winter" alone and bored, with what fish were still around. Terezi was pretty sure she was the only mermaid around this part, and even though she was fine with that, it got quite boring around there.
So you can see why she was excited when she saw a human's car pull up, her tail flicking around excitedly before reality hit her again. Her grin dropped, remembering that she couldn't exactly talk to him. Well shit. Atleast she could throw stuff at him, right? As she watched the male eventually walk down to the little cove by the water, Terezi quietly swam further away, making sure not to be seen. From there, she would continue to watch the young man. Head suddenly turning as a few clouds hid the sun, she raised her hand to cover her face and stared up at the sky. It had suddenly gotten very cloudy, almost seemingly storm like. That worried the teal-tailed mermaid.
Giving a worried sigh, the female turned back just in time to hear someone shout and reach into the waters. Eyes widening at the sight of the male fishing around in the water for some reason, she blinked a few times before realizing he had eventually dove into the waters.
After a moment he didn't come up, Terezi swam close to the cove, eyes shining with worry about the human's safty.
