N pulled himself from his thoughts when Oliver started clopping away. He followed close behind, eager to see the rest of the WIndClan territory for his own eyes. Knowing him he'd probably take to over analysing each building and pathway, but that was just how he worked, estimating the height and width of everything around him as though it would be necessary at some point. It wasn't even a conscious thing, it was just something he kind of did. Yet he still managed to place his full attention in something else as he was doing so. In this case, following and listening to Oliver as he led him about.

N found himself a little relieved as the tour came to a close. WindClan was a big place, that was for sure! He watched as Oliver donned the red hat and felt himself stunned into silence for a few seconds at the resemblance the colt bore to the person he was unknowingly the reincarnation of. He glanced up at his own black and white cap, then his ears pricked and he was jolted from his thoughts when Oliver spoke. "Hm? O-oh, yes, it is quite fascinating," he agreed, turning his head to look around them. He hoped his momentary disconnection from the conversation hadn't been too blatant. "What will we do now?"

    //Canada :P

N blinked his soft grey eyes as she offered the mouse, but he politely rejected it. "Thank you," he mumbled, a bit surprised, "but I ate already." He likely wouldn't have accepted even if he didn't eat. He didn't see it as a very good thing to do, taking someone else's prey. He was also briefly distracted by the tranquil chirping of the birds, but then his ears swivelled in WhitePetal's direction when she asked a question. "I'm doing fine," he answered, "as well as the egg." Things had most certainly been interesting, forming a dual alliance in WindClan and meeting many strange faces, but he couldn't say it wasn't enjoyable. He liked meeting new people and finding out what type of person they really were. The canine with the tea green pelt nodded. "Yes, things have been well lately indeed."

He nodded in understanding, a smile lighting his face. "Mhm, me too. I find it difficult to talk to others myself, but..." He shrugged. "I've met some wonderful people already. You'll find someone eventually." He nodded encouragingly, grey eyes glittering. "It just takes some time, and they could come from the most unexpected places."

//*shrugs* I dunno, but it must suck having such a different time zone!

That was a fine question. He thought back, sifting through his jumble of memories. "I found it one month and twelve days ago," he began, ears flicking as he mulled over his response. "It was right after a thunder storm. The clouds were very thick, and everything was pitch black, except for when lighting struck and lit up the sky." He remembered the beautiful sight of the white cracks splitting the clouds, truly a fascinating thing to watch. "But then I noticed something odd. One part of the ground, a very small part, wasn't lit by the flashes. So, I investigated closer, and it turns out it was this egg that appeared like a completely opaque shadow. It was so dark and foggy out I didn't even notice the round shape!" He found himself closely examining the egg as he spoke and blinked in surprise when he realized the careful notes he was taking in his head, marking appearances and measurements without even meaning to. He chuckled softly. "Since then I've kept it with me. I feel like it's something I simply cannot part with, so it's staying at my side, and perhaps the beast that hatches will return the favour..." He smiled softly, eyes appearing to shimmer in the sunlight.

He nodded, pushing any thoughts aside and offering a smile. "I'd love that, if it's not a hassle." He wouldn't want to stay anywhere else when there was a friend around he could hang around with. And besides, he wouldn't feel right refusing. It wasn't often he had the chance to spend this much time with someone he liked, or liked someone enough to tolerate being around them this long. He found socializing to be exhausting! "Ah, and a walk sounds great too."

N seemed oddly confused by the question. "Name it?" He repeated with a tilt of his head. "No. It will tell me it's name. Only if it doesn't have one would I name it myself." He frowned. "It isn't polite to force a name upon a creature whom already possesses one." He could see the hint of excitement and world of curiosity in her gaze, though. There weren't many who thought like he did. He was unique, in multiple ways. He was, after all, a green furred, hat wearing fox. "And even then, I'd want to wait until it hatched to give it a suiting one."

He nodded. "Well, that's good." He flicked his furry tail, lifting his muzzle slightly. "Would you like to go for a walk? I imagine it's fairly quiet."

N seemed unaware that the birds had ceased their song. That, or he had dismissed it with some form of logical reasoning or perhaps nothing at all. He didn't seem to notice the quiet of the land around them either. He was used to complete silence, and preferred it in a lot of cases. However, something was bothering him, and he couldn't place what was or why it was. Irritating, he thought. He didn't much like it when he couldn't solve a problem, especially one with such properties at this. He took to studying WhitePetal, trying to piece from her body movements and expression if she was finding something to be off as well. "Does something feel... Wrong to you?"

He gave a shrug of his shoulders. "I only got here the day following your arrival. I wouldn't know," he answered as he got to his paws, set off even more by the feline's unease. He gently nudged the egg into the bag he kept it in and pulled it over his back, adjusting it so it hung comfortably at his side. He figured they wouldn't be sitting around there much longer, with the disconcerting quiet and nervous atmosphere. "Do you want to go back to camp?" As much as being in large groups made him uncomfortable, he certainly felt safer there than all alone in the woods.

"Alright," he agreed, and started leading the way back to camp. He kept his ears perked and stayed alert as they walked, just in case something really was amiss and it wasn't just his imagination. Though it wasn't often his instinct led him askew. He didn't say anything as he walked, since he wasn't much of a conversation starter, though he was able to talk for hours on end if there was a subject put forward by someone else. He was wondering what could possibly be setting him off like this. He still couldn't figure out what exactly was bothering him, and that just made him more irritated.

He smiled and swivelled his ears, directing them towards the exit to camp. He flicked them, gesturing in the way they would be heading, and started walking. He glanced back to make sure she was following before he left the camp and entered the territory.

//ahh sorry this is a little late!

N blinked in surprise as he felt his fur ruffle and flatten against him as his feline acquaintance pushed close, the heat coming from WhitePetal's pelt warming his flank. Then he looked forward again, ears twitching with uncertainty. Then he watched as she nearly tripped, letting out a chuckle despite the obvious embarrassment she was feeling. The quiet but cheerful noise seemed to make the tension in the air crack and fade a small amount. He cocked his head as she began scaling the tree, hopping into the branches swiftly. She'd move from the treetops, then? He gazed ahead of them, head inclined to study the branches she would likely leap through, making a mental note of the most probable trail for her to take. Then he looked back at her with a smile, noticing the playfully taunting glimmer in her eyes. "Sounds good to me," he hummed in agreement as his head bobbed in a nod. Then he continued to walk, holding his furry tail just a little higher, already feeling a bit more relaxed now that they were both trying to act happier. The land around them didn't feel as eerily vacant anymore.

He glanced back at the dragon every once and a while. "It's so peaceful out here," he commented, trying to make conversation with her. It was difficult enough for him to chat, and so it was all the harder when she didn't attempt to reply or bring up a topic of her own, but he did his best.

N continued padding along on the ground. He found the sound of the branches rustling above him to be quite calming. He winced and watched nervously when WhitePetal landed upon a thin branch, that seemed to only just support her weight, and let out a breath of relief when it stabilized under her paws. He wouldn't have liked seeing her fall, though he would make his best attempt to catch her. Then he continued padding along quietly, gazing up at her every once and a while to make sure she was doing alright as she bounced from branch to branch above him.

N paused to let the wind ruffle his fur, feeling it blow through the pale hairs, enjoying the coolness of the air that tickled his skin. He closed his eyes, inclining his head. Then he opened them again, ears perking, upon hearing a noise. He wasn't quite sure what the noise was, honestly. They were too far away. "Hear that?" He called up to WhitePetal, glancing up at her. He wondered what she thought the noise was, perhaps her hearing was better. Or were they both in the dark? That though irked him.

"Familiar?" He echoed quietly, facing forward. "I believe we're roughly ten minutes away, give or take because I don't know the exact distance..." He looked back up at her, grey eyes clouded with unshakable uncertainty and nervousness. "What do you think we should do? Continue to camp?" He adjusted the straps of his bag so it hung in a more comfortable position, shrugging his shoulder to slightly shift them backwards. The egg rocked a little, but he was cautious not to move it too much.

He blinked and stopped walking, gazing back at her in surprise. He hadn't expected that, this soon at least. "Oh? Alright, go ahead then." He patiently waited for her to explain, grey eyes eager, showing his thirst for knowledge that could never be sated along with a glimmer of gentle curiosity.
