As for jumping in you could have your character enter the building and sign in before the start wandering the halls

A few minutes after Link's arrivel, two skeletons entered. One of them was quite tall and wore a red scarf. The other was much shorter and looked a bit more plump even though that in all actuality was not the case. He was wearing a blue hoodie. "*bro, I don't need tibia here. I told ya this already..." The shorter one protested pathetically as the taller one literally dragged him in by the hood. It didn't even sound like he was trying.
"SANS, I DONT CARE HOW MANY PUNS YOU TELL ME OR HOW MUCH YOU PROTEST WE AND EVERYONE ELSE AT HOME KNOW YOU DESPERATELY NEED THIS!!" The taller one responded as he dragged Sans over to a chair. Sans sighed deciding a chair would be better than the floor he pulled himself up.
"BUT FEAR NOT, YOU SHALL NOT GO THROUGH THIS ALONE AS FOR I, THE GREAT PAPYRUS, SHALL BE RIGHT AT YOUR SIDE FOR EVERY SINGLE SECOND OF YOUR REHABILITATION NYEHEHEH!!" Papyrus struck a heroic pose before moving to grab forms, one volunteer and one patient. They both filled out their corresponding forms and Papyrus returned them to the front desk. Now the skelebros were both off to find the room Sans(and Papyrus) had been given.

Papyrus turned the corner to busy looking for Sans room to noticed someone staring at them. The same did not hold true for Sans he turned the corner just like Papyrus but instead of going on in search of his room Sans used a shortcut to go back to the counter. Guess these two was a good start to find out who was a threat and who was not.
"*heya" He greeted Cole and Kaja casually, making sure to take note of every single action they made. If Papyrus was gonna be here he needed to make sure all possible threats stayed in line and as far from his brother as possible.

Sans held out a hand for her to shake. "*names sans, sans the skeleton." He said. He could tell she was nervous. Guess seeing a living skeleton for the first time could be a bit bone rattling. Maybe his classic whoopee cushion in the hand trick would relieve some of the tension.
