He looked over at her, hearing the teasing voice and a cocky smirk set on his face. "It's just right" He responded, before thinking about the question she asked him. He had nothing more to do tonight. He had nothing but a small duffle with a few pieces of clothes, so there was nothing to unpack. It sounded like a good idea to get working right away. "I'd like to start learning now." He said, watching her and hoping she didn't notice him watching her, he didn't want her to think he was a creep.

setting: In Alaska, many areas are home to werewolves. There is a very small town called nenana, home to a small werewolf pack among the humans there.
What happens when these two worlds mix, and maybe there are feelings or disgust. A secret may be uncovered, but who knows?plot: my character is a new person to nenana, having left Anchorage and her previous job as a librarian at University
of Alaska at Anchorage (UAA) and owns a small bookstore and coffee shop. She left Anchorage for a reason, and
your character is mate-less. He feels an inexplicable connection to mine. Werewolves can only mate with other werewolves
and this draws confusion for your character. This can create a back and forth of interactions as both our characters are drawn
to each other but cannot figure out why exactly.rules:
1. please be active
2. try to write at least 1-2 paragraphs or minimum 300 words
3. i will mirror your posts
4. follow feral fronts rules as well
5. have fun
| Parker L. DeShay |nickname: parker
age: twenty-three
gender: female
p. traits: funny, sarcastic, protective
n. traits: really hard on self, not easily trusting
occupation: owner of snow dog books and cafe
personality: parker is funny and can be sarcastic but she is also protective to those she loves, and often can be overprotective. She is very hard on herself and has low self-esteem.
history: parker was born and raised in Anchorage, and went to UAA and majored in english and ended up getting a job at UAA as the head librarian. There she met Kris, but their relationship lasted two years, until he began to limit who she talked with, and what she did. Everything parker did wasn't right, and it took her two years and a lot of family intervention before she left UAA and Anchorage. moving out to Nenana, she wanted a fresh start. The day was beautiful as Parker walked down the street. She wore a light blue sweatshirt and dark pants. It was a warmer day in Nenana, it being 50 degrees
and the sun was out. Most of the time she wore a heavier jacket, but spring was around the corner. Spring still included snow but that was okay. Parker loved to watch the sled dogs during the half-hour lunch break she included each day in her store. It didn't take her long to reach the store, and pulled out her key. Unlocking the door, she stepped in and began the opening process. About half-way through getting ready to open, her chef came in. A middle-aged chef, Jim was very nice to her and she believed the only reason her cafe and book store stayed open this long. The bell above the door rang as Parker used a rag to clean the cafe counter. The chef out in the kitchen was getting ready to start the coffee pot for the morning. Parker looked up at the door to see one of her regulars seating herself close to the red-head. A smile lit on Parker's face as she stepped over to the woman."The usual?" Parker asked, as the woman smiled up at Parker. "Yes please" Parker nodded, turning to the small order window behind her that peeked into the large kitchen. She wrote down the order and clipped it to the clipboard. She heard Jim humming softly behind the window as she heard the bell ring again. This time a young man came in and headed to the book section. Parker watched him as he browsed the recent additions. Luckily Parker was able to get the newest books as they came out. It was partly because she spent most of her profits keeping this place up and pre-ordering tons of the newest book just for this small town. The townspeople never let Parker down and she had always managed to turn a fairly good profit and keep Jim here as well. ∞ ѕeven нoυrѕ laтer ∞ Parker rubbed a hand on her forehead as she bid the last customer farewell. She opened early, at 8am and closed at 3pm. This still left Parker time to enjoy the sun. The sun usually sets around 8pm and so Parker decided to go snow shoeing. A favorite pastime of Parker's, she loved to go out into nature and watch the animals playing and having fun. Parker walked into her apartment, turned right to her front closet and pulled out her snow shoes. Throwing them over her back, she left the apartment again and headed down the sidewalk. A few minutes later, she arrived at her favorite trail and slid on her snow shoes before beginning her trek into the nature before her. -
He followed her down the stairs, listening to her as she spoke. Cleaning stalls? That couldn't be too hard, hopefully. He looked down the aisle at the stalls. Then they moved back through to the office and she explained the feeding schedule and he nodded, truly interested in this.
"So how do I clean these stalls?" He asked, tilting his head as he watched her for a response.
-
Xander nodded as he felt a little embarrassed about asking that question now. Rubbing the back of his neck, he followed her into the feed room. When she told him that there would be tests on this herbal stuff he felt himself blanch little. "I never did well on tests" He chuckled trying to play off the nervousness. What if he failed and had to go back to the streets. As much as Xander missed the noise and hustle, he was rapidly getting used to this quiet and peacefulness around the ranch.
-
(Your character can be from there :) :) I actually don't live in Alaska lol. I've always wanted to go there though, especially to the actual town of Nenana.)
-
He wiped a hand across his forehead, feeling sweat coating it lightly. "Oh, okay" He felt himself let out a sigh of relief as he followed behind her. He entered the main barn aisle way again.

Xander looked at the horse and smiled. He brought his hand up to the horse's nose to allow him to sniff. He'd been taught from a very young age to allow animals to sniff and smell first. "Very beautiful horse. I can't wait to learn." This was true, even though he was a street rat, a trained thief, he was also very interested in animals, all animals.
-
"They are a lot bigger than some of the strays I found, considering they're horses not dogs and cats" He chuckled, before noticing other horses putting their heads over the stall doors. He was different than most street rats, and he knew that but he had been looking for a way out since his second jail time, when his "friend" forced the blame on him.

(I understand completely. I may be on and off for the next week or two due to my college finals :) )

Atlas | 4 years old | Alpha's son
The black brute was out on his own, nose to the ground and was investigating a new scent on the edge of their territory. The cool wind blew through his black and white fur as his paws traveled easily over the snow. A moment later the scent grew stronger and he picked up a trot through the snow and the scent wafted in his nostrils. It took him easily a few minutes before he came before a husky fae who was limping by the road. He slowed down to a walk and got closer to the fae, making loud crunching steps in the snow so she didn't injure herself more.
"Hello? Can I help you?" He barked, his amber eyes watching her and hoped she'd allow him to at least help her. The snow began to fall faster and faster. The white stuff coated his black fur and he shook his fur out. His coat was snow-free for a few seconds before it was coated again. He blinked his eyes as he shook his head to walk through the snow and still keep track of the fae beside him. His tail swished against his back legs as he moved to keep up with her and wait for her response.

He can run into her in the woods as she begins her hike.

Atlas | 4 years old | Alpha's son
Atlas rolled his eyes. Faes can be so stubborn. He had been raised to help others in need, and she needed help. He'd travel this road before, and seeing a car was rare. "You don't look fine" He snorted back, watching as she bared her teeth. His own teeth showed a little as he watched her in annoyance. A moment later she fell into the thick snow, and he heard a whine escape her muzzle. He noticed her bi-colored eyes and paused in an odd show of curiosity. She was quite a stunning sight, and he felt himself torn as he watched her. She was very determined, he could see that in her gaze. Atlas was supposed mate with Jewel, be the alpha pair together but he felt something stirring in his gut. "Let me help you. I know the way back to the nearest town. You won't make it on your own" He commented, sitting down in the snow beside her. His amber gaze was on her, seeing the blood on her hind leg, he could see the injuries. It was almost like she fell from a moving vehicle. The snow kept piling on his black fur and he shook his coat out. "At least let me help you get out of this snow before we both get buried alive" He suggested.

Tundra | 10 year old | Lead StallionThe dappled gray stallion looked at the herd, swishing his tail against his back legs. He scented one of his satellite stallions coming up beside him, and snorted. The palomino stallion congratulated him and Serenity before traveling away. Tundra looked over at Serenity before turning away from the river and stepped over to a rise in the bank, sort of like a hill or ledge. He tossed his head before climbing onto the ledge. There was room for Serenity to stand beside him. The muscled gray stallion looked over his herd, nostrils flaring as he took in the scents of the river.
"I'd like the entire herd to listen to this announcement. Now that there is a lead mare, all mares may chose a mate within the herd. Thank you all" He neighed, probably putting to rest a couple of mare's thoughts.
Opal | 8 year old | Herd mareThe overo mare swished her tail as she looked at the other horses, wondering if, now that Tundra claimed a lead mare, he'd allow the mares to mate with the satellite stallions. Opal's ears flicked over to the gray stallion as she listened to his words. They could mate now with the satellites? This would change the outlook of the herd. More diverse foals would be born and the herd's genetics would be full of more variety. The overo mare turned her gaze over to JT, the gray stallion had always caught her eye, but she stayed away because of the rules. She moved through the river before reaching him. She stayed a foot away from him and drank a little more.

OOC; Happy Easter to you as well. Sorry for the late reply, had a busy two days after Easter.
IC; "That sounds like a very smart plan" He remarked, watching the horses that were still in. Their heads came over the stall doors and watched them. He listened to her explanation as he heard a rambunctious noise near the back of the barn. "Someone's not too happy are they?" He said, motioning to the loud thumps from the back.

Tundra | 10 year old | Lead StallionHe could see the surprise in the horses gathered around him. He was a lead stallion for one reason, and that was because he was the eldest stallion as well as the alpha, the leader. His ears flicked as he turned his gaze to watch Vetra galloping, and he snorted playfully. Then the stallion lifted on his hind legs, pawing at the bright blue sky and let out a loud and joyful neigh. He wanted his herd happy and if allowing them to breed to the satellite stallions allowed them happiness then so be it. He had Serenity, and led a powerful herd, that was all he wanted.

Opal | 8 year old | Herd mareOpal looked over at JT, her dark eyes watching his muscles move under the gray coat. "Good morning JT" She responded, listening to him speak. "It is a very nice day." She said, before looking over at Tundra, watching the powerful elder stallion rear and paw at the sky. She flicked an ear over at JT before lowering her head to lip the water out of boredom. Her dark coat was becoming hotter as the sun almost reached peak. The overo paint pawed the water before laying down a few steps away from JT so she didn't get him wet. Rolling in the cool water, she was soaked as she finally got to her hooves and shook the water off. The droplets may have sprayed JT but Opal was not positive. She swished her thick wet tail against her back legs with a slap noise as she snorted lightly and half-closed her eyes.

He could sense his wife awake in the back seat. As night began to fall, lights illuminated the car before he pulled over to the edge of the path. Parking the car, he heard his 'son' moving in the seat beside him and looked back at his wife. He, himself wasn't hungry but he had to hunt for the kid beside him.
"I'm going out to hunt. You can come or stay, up to you" He told his wife, looking back at her. He got out of the car and began searching. He didn't want to stray too far from the car in case Drew woke up. He moved before noticing a person walking down the road towards him. Hiding in the shadows, he waited for the person to pass before he jumped and grabbed them. Covering the woman's mouth with his hand, he moved her to the car forcefully as Drew opened his door and it happened. He clung to her and drank her dry.
-
"So, he's like most city kids? Super irritated and explodes about anything and everything? Got it, stay away from that one" He nodded, understanding that some horses were like those on the streets. Can't trust 'em till you work with them and understand them. Kind of like him, he had a small attitude, but once he trusted someone, he was a friend for life to them.
-
"Sounds like a plan boss" He stated. "Is it okay if I watch? I'm not all that tired" He commented. Being a street thief, he was never one for sleep. If one wasn't careful about where they slept, things could get dangerous and deadly. He learned how to function on very little sleep and has done so for pretty much his entire life. "I uh, promise not to get in the way. I'll stay far back from the stall door" He added. For some reason he was very interested in watching and did not understand why.
