"I'm Marionette.", the black-furred child smiled,"Welcome." She was pleased with the amount of joiners Shadowclan was receiving. It was nice to watch her clan grow. It was nice to be able to call Shadowclan her clan. Her birthclan just wasn't the right fit but she was certain here was.

Mari followed closely behind as they departed the small cottage. She was thankful for her mother's gifts of clothing as they kept her warmer than the old blanket she had brought along. The young apprentice smiled quietly to herself as she noticed snowflakes floating down from the sky. She stopped for a second to admire one that had landed on her mitten. It was too bad that she couldn't bring some home knowing they would melt away in a second. Maybe she would try drawing one... It would be the only to preserve it's beauty. Marionette quickly caught up to her mother as she noticed she was falling behind,"Um, how are w-we gonna, uh, catch the f-f-fish?"

Mari wasn't sure if it would be wrong of her to grab some food. Cinnamonroll was right, it didn't look like they were gonna come back for it. The young apprentice cautiously wandered over to the boxes sniffing at their contents. She decided on taking some biscuits not really knowing what to have. There was just so much food. Maybe she'd have a turkey leg and roast over the fire. Yep, that sounded good to her.

Since her apprentice ship Mari had been working hard on her own training on the island. She didn't exactly have a mentor yet so she resorted to trying to teach herself through experience. Today she had decided to go hunting and after multiple attempts and frustration she had finally caught two mice. She placed them in the fresh kill pile a little embarrassed with herself. The grey-eyed girl would of like to catch something bigger. Perhaps something to impress her parents... Well, she had to start somewhere knowing she could only improve her skills. The black femme decided to take a break off to the side, the hunt had proved to be a bit tiring.

The apprentice had decided to take a day off of training as she had been at it for the whole week. She just really wanted to be able to impress her parents. She wanted to make them proud but how could she do it when she wasn't even proud of herself? For the time being Mari had decided to amuse herself with the flicking of pebbles. She was never really sure what to do with herself when she wasn't occupied with training. Not being able to think of anything more productive to do, the black femme continued to aimlessly flick around the tiny stones not really watching where they flew.

It was strange to the she-cat that the Exiles had brought back Stiles. She would think that they would be reluctant to return a prisoner. Maybe some of them were decent after all despite the injuries Bubonicpaw had given her clanmate. So was the raid off then? Mari was unsure on whether or not she should assume that Rookfeather would easily forgive them. Looks like they'd have to wait and see.

The fluttering pages near the doorway had caught Mari's eye as she walked past the hut. She turned her head slightly to get a better look at what was happening in the home. The white-spotted girl wasn't trying to be nosy, she was only curious. She stared for a bit as she noticed pages sprawled across the floor and Radio huddled over books. He seemed a little overwhelmed to her. "H-Hey,um, Radio. You d-doing okay in th-there?", Marionette questioned after a while of debating whether or not she should check up on him. Maybe she could be useful for once and help out a clanmate.

"Hello, I'm Marionette. Um, b-but some call me M-mari if you'd p-p-prefer to call me by a n-nickname.", the young apprentice smiled shyly as she approached the cub. It was strange meeting her younger clanmates as she was used to being the youngest having been a kit not too long ago. She kind of missed it at times, being a child. Being an apprentice was tiring at times.

Marionette's face grew hot with embarrassment as she noticed the trouble she had caused, "Oh my goodness! I-I'm so s-s-sorry." How could she be so careless? She felt so guilty... "I-I swear I d-d-didn't mean it. I-I, um, hope I d-didn't hurt you. I'll s-s-stop immediately. Again I'm so s-sorry.", the young apprentice rambled on hoping she hadn't bothered anyone else. She didn't want to spend her free time being a nuisance.

"I-I'll do one f-f-for, um, Gr-graveclan.", Mari stuttered as she padded up. The apprentice was pretty sure it was called the Geist now only knowing this because her mom was the leader there. It was also where her siblings had moved to and the shy apprentice was hoping to reunite with them again. Alas, she had heard one had gone inactive and the other was traveling the clans but perhaps she would still bump into them. All she had was hope to rely on.

"Oh, n-n-no. Really. I-It, it's all m-my fault.", Mari insisted,"I'm th-the one, uh-um, being i-inconsiderate. I really sh-should of been more careful." She had to admit, it was a bit funny that they both felt the need to apologize. Her grey eyes looked over the apprentice realizing something familiar about him,"Um, i-it's Forgottenpaw isn't it? Y-your name I mean." She had heard about his dual-membership and hoped he was feeling at home.

"How's Shadowclan, um, for y-you. The island is q-q-quite a transition f-f-from the city. U-uh, W-windclan does s-s-still live in the, um, c-city correct? It's been a, um, while s-since I've b-been there.", Mari questioned. Windclan was her birthplace and once her home many moons ago. However, she had no attachment to it like she once did when her whole family lived there. Once her siblings and mother left she did too. The young apprentice couldn't help but wonder if her old apartment had been taken by someone else. She couldn't help but wonder if anyone remebered her. The black femme quickly pushed the thought away already knowing the answer. She had had no friends there and was certain no one remebered her being rather anti-social. She was determined to have it different here in Shadowclan.

She could relate in a way, Marionette had been training hard herself. Not having a mentor ment having to learn through trial and error which got a little tiring when she couldn't find solutions to the errors. "R-radio reading those books w-won't t-teach you everything. You'll learn th-through experience. T-take a break and save your energy f-f-for when we need you.", the white-spotted girl spoke softly with a hint of worry but also understanding in her eyes. In the end they couldn't force him. Oh wait apparently Jiyu could. Mari jumped up a bit as her mother sprang into action grey eyes watching the scene unfold and wondering what Radioactivepaw's response would be.

"G-good. I'm glad we got him b-back.", Mari smiled in response. She wasn't exactly close friends with Stiles but he was her clanmate so the girl had felt entitled to bringing him home to safety. Her grey eyes revealed sympathy for Forgottenpaw as he deemed his friend "the only one who actually cared". She understood him on a personal level there never having real friends before either. Loneliness was a curse and the longer you dwelled in it the more it made you insane. You were suddenly so vulnerable to depression that it was sickening. The black-pelted apprentice wouldn't wish it on her worst enemy. Marionette had been through it and continued to go through it even to this day. However, reuniting with her mother and aunt had definitely helped. She wondered if Forgottenpaw had any family but found it a little insensitive to ask so instead she decided against. Not everyone was fortunate to have a loving family and she didn't want to make her new acquaintance uncomfortable. "Oh.", Mari responded after hearing Forgotten's response to her second question. Her old place was obviously vacant now then. Maybe one day she would return when she could finally face her past without pain and discomfort. "Um, have y-you b-been to all the islands yet? I c-could, um, show you around i-if you haven't.", the white-spotted girl offered.
