oh, right, he was awfully bad at not paying particular attention to what was going on around him, and his resting bitch face wasn't doing much to help by staying at his side as it was doing at the moment. Blinking, Subaru seemed to snap out of whatever state he was in just before. "no, you are welcome here." the emperor told her with a glance at Maggie. Subaru was pretty good at scaring people off, whether he meant it or not, but it seemed as though they were going to lose this joiner because of his natural rudeness. In reality, he was just a huge nerd. -
[fancypost borderwidth=0px; line-height: 14px; width: 430px; text-align: justify; font-family: verdana; font-size: 10.5px; text-transform: lowercase;]"sure, I'll commit murder for you. That's what you want, isn't it? ...I'll grant your wish."
He was going to be honest with himself; he didn't think in a million years that he would ever hear those words again. Whether or not his agitation over the past week had lef him to this, Subaru didn't know, but maybe his subconscious was trying to tell him something with what was happening to him right now. A small, pure white, feeble looking young domestic feline with red eyes was looking up to a similar looking -although far more elegant if you were to ask the emperor- older one with a stone cold face, although if you knew the little one it would take one look into his eyes to know that something was troubling him. But he would never admit to that verbally as long as he lived, actually, since no one would ask him.
just two weeks before these times was the memory of the older feline shattering vases, throwing random things and crying, the smaller feline remembering having been told that only his arrival would manage to calm her. And when such did happen, he shrieked...., or something like that. "Ah…! Oi, mother, cut it out!" he'd tell her as he rested his chin on her shoulder, but all she did was freeze in place. "Ah… Subaru, you’re... with me?" right, this was one of Subaru's memories. And he had hardly any time to respond when she snapped her teeth at him, trying whatever she could to get him away. "get out of my sight, you demon!" it wasn't long before she started wailing, "no! Help me! Help me! Someone...! You.. you’re filthy!" the older feline grabbed him, and he barely had time to react as she continued screaming and clawing at him. And he was nothing but a child. What did he do to deserve this, he wondered? Wouldn't he be the one that was the victim in such a situation? he wasn't sure that he'd be able to take this anymore. Thankfully, a couple of strangers had been able to detach his mother from him, but his emotions still stood.
and that was a simple everyday happening. It was hard to say that he wanted or enjoyed to return to the memory of what happened after that encounter, when he met the figure who had more or less ruined his life. But he wouldn't be talking about that for a long while. As what was said earlier, currently the small feline was being nosed a silver knife. It was an elegant knife to say the least, red gems gleaming from either side of it. It was a knife he could conjure up without even trying to, the mere thought of needing or wanting it making it appear to him. A constant reminder that he still accomplished his goal. But the small feline's expression turned from mildly hurt to a form of hatred as memories crossed his minds eye. He had a reason to accept this, quite a few, actually. He wasn't just doing this because he loved dearly she whom he was addressing at near midnight. It went without saying hat he hated more than anyone the person he was thinking about, which was why he would do this without even thinking twice about it. Engraved into his mind always and forever was his need to kill the most important person in his life, and he knew it. It was his main goal.
The thing was, he didn't understand why he kept straying from it. His mortal side gave him mortal wants and needs; protecting the tribe, watching out for the people he had come to love, trying to get people to understand him. It was nothing but trouble, and Subaru realized that. Perhaps if one day he would let someone in to his secrets, they'd get why he did what he did, but that didn't seem like a possibility, since the last person he told had let themselves die right befoe his eyes. Subaru didn't know if he was ready to put himself through that, especially when he was doomed to live for hundreds of years more. People would die far before him, and he'd never age a day even if they did return. Anyway, for the time being, the feline awoke late at night, trembling terrible and staring around as if he was looking for something or someone. Within a few moments he had calmed down, but it wasn't long until there was a knife in front of him and he was quietly examining it. He knew for what purpose he was supposed to use such a knife, but he wasn't able to complete it while he was in the state that he was in currently. with a sigh, the feline discarded his knife by pushing it to the side. He a had a lot of things to deal with right now, and he couldn't bother himself over the promise he made all those years ago. well, it did eat at him, he just never really said anything about it. More like a reminder was the words of his mother giving him a reason to live. He probably wouldn't even have come this far without her.

practicing, huh. Her known that game for a long time, so it was more like a given for him and his brothers to know it, not to mention how good his memory was for stupid things like that. Subaru was pretty easygoing for the moment, which was rare, but it was probably because he was being really emo earlier. "well, you take all these cards and basically whoever has the best ones out of all win. Sometimes you can bet things, like fresh kill or belongings." the male tried to explain, not sure if she would be able to understand. -
[fancypost borderwidth=0px; line-height: 14px; width: 430px; text-align: justify; font-family: verdana; font-size: 10.5px;]he was always a but grouchy, but tried to look up as he padded into the scene. Subaru was already feeling awkward, so he escaped to a corner where hopefully no one would make contact with him.

"what's up....Koran, right?" Subaru asked as he padded over, his head tilted to he side and his ears pointed forward. he had probably seen her around but forgot. Oops.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; line-height: 14px; width: 430px; text-align: justify; font-family: verdana; font-size: 10.5px;]the boy practically went lump in his view, but that wasn't going to cut it- not today, not when he was mad at the very least. "that's not an excuse. You need to watch where you're going," I mean, he couldn't bother himself to pay attention to what was going on around him? What a screwup. instead of letting the crying dude go, he attempted to pull him to his feet and shake him up a bit. "you little fuck- what are you doing out here anyway? You look like you're gonna poss yourself."

Subaru couldn't imagine ever having been seen as a father figure of sorts. Maybe an older tsundere brother, but that wasn't far off from his actual place in the world. The youngest of six, he was more mature than a lot when he was being serious, and it wouldn't seem that, compared to anyone but maybe reiji, that he was the youngest of the sakamaki family. He wouldn't know what it was like to be slightly betrayed by a sister that caused a war, but he supposed that everyone's pain was different. Surely Maggie hadn't participated in the unspoken challenges of her siblings or friends, constantly put under the pressure of being judged by them. She was so young and innocent, Subaru knew, that she didn't have to work to get people to like her, only to have all that built up trust shatter when she made a mistake. But Subaru had to live with it- such was his everyday. Maggie didn't have to watch as, generation after generation, slowly members died off and were forgotten with time. As new members came and were unknowing of past members that would have been important, those things died off, unwittingly forgotten as if no one had known them. But that was okay, since one day, perhaps in the future, Subaru himself would be nothing but a myth. Or something that no one would remember- he could picture it if he tried.Of course Subaru was awake at night, but when people like Maggie were, that was a small problem. She was like, pretty young and stuff, which meant that her sleeping habits were important-- but! It was totally not as if the vampire cared about her well being, nope. Tsundere lifestyle was really overpowering at a certain point, to be honest. It was no wonder that she had to be around this time, seeing as whenever he was doing something he would rather no one saw, she came running. Or walking, in this case. "shouldn't you be sleeping?" the emperor demanded, and although his voice was quiet, no hushed whisper could hide the constant, ever-present irritation in his tone. But soon her subject strayed towards his knife, and he pulled it towards himself once more in a slightly protective manner as he glared at her in the darkness. "hopefully, you'll never need to find out," Subaru responded simply. He could picture her trying to ask more questions, but he didn't know if she would. But he didn't even know what he would say to her own questions... There were a lot of things that he would rather leave alone, but things he wouldn't mind talking about. Maggie nor any of the new members had seen him light up or laugh yet, or so he thought so far. His humor was really bad. The arrival of springpaw didn't make things better, though, and it was as if for a few moments Subaru wasn't going to answer. But he did. "nothing, yet, the feline told her.

well, wasn't he late? recently there had been a lot on Subaru's mind, although he couldn't say it was a very good excuse for missing important things."everyone can go if they want to," the emperor said with a nod, although he seemed to be a bit distracted. -
[fancypost borderwidth=0px; line-height: 14px; width: 430px; text-align: justify; font-family: verdana; font-size: 10.5px;]oh boy, did eternal seem dedicated to his cause. clinging to his leg. Subaru's cheeks started to hear up as they usually did every now and again, and he tried to shake the male off, only he tightened his grip. if need be, Subaru could always use one of his powers to detach the legate from him, but jeez! He didn't like using his powers anyway, seeing as they only caused trouble, especially in regards to memory lane. "h-hey! Get off me." the emperor stammered, his frown more an embarrassed one than an angry or irritated one. But he was... Lost. In his own group's territory? He really was a nerd. "I say we let him find his own way home." Subaru said, alnd although it was meant as a tease his voice sounded serious. He really needed to work on his tones.

Subaru had only done what he did in attempts of cutting any bond Maggie thought she had with him. He would still talk and act as he normally did, the only thing that was really important was the fact that Maggie didn't get into anything that she shouldn't have. But even though Subaru had tried to tell her that one day he would end up hurting her, it was a shame that she didn't listen, that in the end he had done it purposefully for the sake of her wellbeing. Perhaps if he had left things as they were she would have realized that he was no one that she should be around, but his thoughts were misleading. They told him that one day he would kill her, or seriously wound her if anything. She would be somehow emotionally, mentally, or physically scarred by something he did,and that was why he had to do something about it- Subaru just didn't want to be forced into living through another tradgedy of his own causing, despite the selfishness of such a wish. and even though he had taken care to leave it on a sour note here she was once again, smiling at him as if she had forgotten. How thick could she be to so easily forgive like that? He didn't have anyone in his past to compare her to, not even konoha; the forgetful serval had given ayato his blood simply because he asked, and still loved to greet him every day, loving every second of it. Simply put, the vampire didn't understand at all."yeah, probably you should go to bed," the emperor replied, the first bit of his words in a lighter tone, perhaps to mock hers. Nonetheless, Subaru seemed to catch himself at the thought of saying something that indicated caring, and he flushed red. "uh- if you're up late all the time, you're going to get tired and develop a worse attitude than me, and who wants to deal with that?" the feline nearly dove into the save his words made, facading a careless air about himself. He was really too tsundere for life. He was hesitant to say the least when she seemed to get confused and ask more questions. Was it dangerous... was that really even a question? That seriously just came out of her mouth. "it's a knife. anyone could get hurt with one.... this one is a silver knife, though, so some things are more penetrable with it." a.k.a, vampires, although he wasn't going to be saying as much today. Vampires like him were hurt more by silver things, which was why vampire hunters got a kick out of fighting them with it. Anything that could be found made of silver that was sharp and they just might die... Although Subaru wouldn't be putting Maggie in charge of the knife. It was meant for someone that he hadn't found yet, but perhaps one day he would see around the person he had in mind for the job. Whether it was before or after he completed his task he wasn't too sure.
and all spring did was ask about eternal. While su Sri didn't really care about the affairs of love, he couldn't say he hadn't been in his fair share of a love triangle, although he had no clue who saito was. For him it had been hard though, boy against boy, fighting over a girl who seemed to like both. But spring liked saito and eternal liked spring- it was more like a trail of unrequited love, as far as the feline himself would be concerned, and he had never really seen anything quite like this before. when she finished asking her question, Subaru shrugged. "I wouldn't know. The kid sees me and runs away faster than a fucking car." Subaru added, remembering eternal's weird fear of him. He was a pretty scary guy though, you could give him that.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; line-height: 14px; width: 430px; text-align: justify; font-family: verdana; font-size: 10.5px;]well, you couldn't blame a guy who was internally unaware of being a near victim to getting syringed by a girl who was way too nosy for her own good. Its was totally breing creepy but he lacked the ability of being sociable enough to get what was goinb on here. "how did you even get lost?" the male asked, still facing forward but trying to make small talk for the same of awkwardness.

Subaru could at least agree with will that Maggie shouldbtbworry herself over anything, but here she was, acting rather mature despite herself. Subaru wasn't too sure that he would be able to provide the comfort that the lynx herself did, which made it good that she was around, for the vampire was more than anything.... A severely awkward guy. "if you need anybody to do anything, we'll always be here." Subaru offered cautiously, as if unsure what he should do or say. -

Subaru knew the way to the territory that they were going to, which was strange, since he hadn't been there in a few months. And he would have to be stuck in a place full of memories, even though it might be alleging good for him. He had to get his head in the game, his mind back to what it could do best. "empire of sartaq- hope you've had enough time to pack up, but it's time to leave now for the new territory." or should he say the old one? He knew every nook and cranny of the place, every hole in the wall (mind you, that he caused probably) and whey room that he was allowed to visitt at the time. Howver, it was not the time to think about that- Subaru didn't have many possessions, but his knife was in his mouth and he had entrusted his coffin to a dragon npc to carry it for him, seeing as he was too lazy to do it on his own today. -
[fancypost borderwidth=0px; line-height: 14px; width: 430px; text-align: justify; font-family: verdana; font-size: 10.5px;]
huh, another kid joined. Subaru was beginning to feel outnumbered by the youth. Well, he was pretty old- the feline himself probably didn't think henwoukd last thja long, and yet here he was. "welcome. I'm Subaru, the emperor here. If you've got a problem you can come to me also." the vampire seemed scary from the way that his tongue swept over his jaws and how he glared at everything with his beaming red eyes, but he wasn't trying to seem scary right now. Oops. -
[fancypost borderwidth=0px; line-height: 14px; width: 430px; text-align: justify; font-family: verdana; font-size: 10.5px; text-transform:lowercase;]
honestly, Subaru should be sleeping during the daytime. When the sun www as out, it made his skin very hot and itchy, and it made him annoyed that he couldn't get any peace. But he had to watch over the tribe during their hours of activity in case they got into trouble. So despite his being awake at night by default, even if he took naps in his coffin it wasn't very close to the bare minimum of proper sleeping hours. So that was why he took to being so irritable on a daily basis. He couldn't help of everyone else lived on a different schedule than him. At her comment, the vampire merely succeeded in frowning. "that's very nosy of you to say, thanks, but no thanks," Subaru responded, his car eyebrows furrowed in something confused between distaste and annoyance. Maggie really three how to butt into his personal life.He should have called down even more before she came. And although he didn't explode Subaru took the knife and drug it closer to him, sitting it up and letting it rest between his legs, like he didn't want her to touch it. The light of the moon, not full but a gibbus, a little more than a half, touched the inside of the temple through a loose brick, but it was as though Subaru was trying to hide himself from the way he backed up. "there's no need for you to be concerned. You so t be using it, because you don't have what it takes." Subaru was quite sure that he needed someone willing enough to kill him if anything bad happened, which was why Maggie wasn't strong enough. She thought that she could forgive and forget when that was not the reality of having a vampire like him around. Someone sadistic as him couldn't ever truly find happiness, which was why when he messed up, there needed to be someone right there ready to nip the problem at the bud. Maggie probably wouldn't understand the need to kill him if a problem arose- that was why he would have given it to mikasa, or maybe shika if she had shown further interest in the workings of the sakamaki's... Which she hadn't.

Oh, whoops, he was late. Oh well, late was better than never, subarunwould have to agree. "what's with the 'young one' stuff? You don't have to be so formal." the vampire told the canine as he padded over, rolling his shoulders. "anyway, I'm Subaru, the emperor here. If you need anything, you can ask me welcome to the empire." he didn't sound too friendly as much as he did blunt but that was common for him. He was just awkward.
