"It's not that she doesn't have a sense of humor, it's that you're not funny," the young, newly made Soldier responded with a slight frown as he approached Alastair. For someone who seemed to be joining, he seemed to be awfully cocky and arrogant for a first introduction.

"Are you joining or not? It only requires a simple yes or no, I hope you can understand that. Otherwise, we will consider you to be an intruder." For someone who seemed to act "big" he sure had a small, narrowsighted mind. He had the smallest honor of them all, although Heavenlyfire was acting equally as rude and disrespectful.

We really need to have a class on how to welcome joiners, Skystriker thought to himself with a visible sigh.

Skystriker was at a young, fresh age of 12 moons old plus a few days. His blue fur was a bit shaggy, wild, and spread out sporadically in different directions. He never kept track of how clean it was, he liked it at the particular length because it didn't get in his way, and it insulated him when he was cold. He was quite a raggedy, unkept fellow, but that wouldn't stop him from doing his duties as a soldier.

"Hello! Welcome to MafiaClan, I'm Skystriker, and I'll be your handsome, charming host today," he winked at any dames out there, sending them a crooked smile. "This is the welcoming orientation, I'll answer any questions you may have and give you a quick introduction on how you should accept future joiners because one joining I went to today was exactly the perfect example of how NOT to deal with joiners who have more difficult personalities."

He took a large breath. "Then we'll have a meet and greet game where everyone gathers in a circle. I'm not sure what the game is called, I believe it's called the Bang game? I'm the shotcaller, so I'll stand in the middle and shout a random name. Let's say I call Fluffypaw, and now Tree and Fire are on Fluffypaw's left and right side. Fluffypaw will have to duck down, so that Tree and Fire are facing each other.

Now they have to "shoot" at each other by yelling "BANG!". Whoever says bang first wins, and the loser "dies", so they'll have to sit down for the rest of the game. But if Fluffypaw doesn't duck in time, then Fluffypaw sits out because he got shot. But if Tree and Fire both say bang at the same time, then they'll have a bang-off where they yell bang as long as possible. Whoever loses their breath first loses, but I don't think that'll happen.

So! Now that I've covered everything, the orientation will begin. I'll be starting with questions, although any experienced member of MafiaClan may answer them too. Any questions about ranks, rules, anything?"

"Got it, boss," Skystriker responded with a swift nod and a twitch of his ear, sitting at the back of the crowd to make himself less noticeable. With ice blue fur, it was hard not to be seen when his surroundings were all draggy gray and black. He stuck out like snow on dirt and grass.

Waiting around, he would wait for the words "Meeting dismissed". He wouldn't want to leave and miss out on possible extra announcements or news he needed to know of. Skystriker was a good soldier.

Introduction

I'd like Skystriker to have some siblings/family in MafiaClan and it'd be cool to stir up a little friendly competition with the Costelo family from time to time, so maybe family games could be a thing in the future :3 The Luciano family is welcoming to anyone who wishes to join, and they consider each other to be family even if they're not related by blood.

Basic Information

They will be based around pursuit of knowledge as well as experts in paw-to-paw combat. They are a proud, honest family who aren't afraid of being bold and standing up for what they believe is right. If you've read Divergent before, think of a hybrid faction that's both Candor and Dauntless. They have a strong sense of justice that goes hand in hand with the Warrior Code, such as no killing without a good reason (assassinations towards other enemy Clans count as a good reason because it's for the good of the Clan), rapists/mass murderers will be excommunicated from the family, they don't take captures.

If two members of the family are arguing, there will be three judges chosen randomly from the family to listen to their argument and settle it out by fair trial.

Rules

1) No killing a family member under any circumstance
2) Raping and killing without a fair reason can lead to banishment from the family
3) The family is part of MafiaClan, they are all expected to follow the Clan's rules and high positions.
4) They must be a member of MafiaClan

Point system and title system

In order to make sure the family's goal is met (being expertly trained in paw-to-paw combat and knowledgable in miscellaneous subjects such as herbs, powers, etc.), there will be unique titles given out once they complete the course. Those who pass the course also get to become the instructors that add knowledge to the training course (that's part of the miscellaneous subjects), and so on.

1 pt - finish a course
5 pt - learn a unique skill that can be taught to the rest of the family (identifying edible and poisonous plants, unique fighting skills such as how to hit pressure points or paralyze an enemy)

When you've reached 10 pts you receive unique title within family + become instructor of a course

Unique titles

It depends on what course you're the instructor of, such as if you're teaching others how to build a fire from scratch, then your title would be similar to "Flame" Ranger. Why ranger? Because they're the keepers of the territory, they are skilled in all survival areas and are willing to help others.

The more dames the better! That was what Skystriker had always thought since he was young. It were the Dames who brought new life into the Clan, and the soldier had always respected them ever since he was a small pipsqueak. In a Clan where males held the dominant positions and automatically had higher power, it just wasn't easy being recognized less just because they were a certain gender.

Even if they had different roles in the family and Clan, they both deserved to be treated with equal respect. At least that was how Skystriker thought of them. Fearsome and beautiful, they were creation's greatest gift. "Hello, ladies, Crimson," the artificial ice-blue tabby greeted with a wink and a genuine smile. "How are you doing?"

Was he forgetting something? It was like a thought in the back of his mind was poking at him mentally.

Right! How could he have forgotten so quickly? He guessed that focusing on the Dames took away his focus that this was a meet and greet.

"I'm Skystriker, by the way," he added hastily, sheepish with embarrassment.

Being guided by a RiverClan warrior, Skystriker was led to where the Healers of the Clan resided. MafiaClan and RiverClan, they had no grudges or bad feelings against each other, so the ice-blue tabby was fairly sure that it was alright to ask for help from a member of a Clan that was not anything to MafiaClan. They were just there, existing.

"Ahh, Nicodemus? The name's Skystriker, my name," he clarified. Listening to all the different dialects of talk in MafiaClan had caused him to change his slightly as well, it was interesting how the way he talked changed simply by being around others. It was a natural adaptation, changing to conform to how the others talked and mimic their style.

"I'm from MafiaClan, we're not neutrals, enemies, or allies with RiverClan. But as a fellow, simple soldier wishing to serve his Clan, I'm wondering if you could teach me some herbal knowledge? Our boss is holding a try-out for the Pharmacist position, which is the mirror rank of your Healer rank, and I'm interested in helping out any way I can. I'd be in your debt of course, and you may request something of me in the present or the future as payback. How's that for an exchange?" he proposed, offering a small smile to appear more friendly.

Spotting the familiar figure of his Clanmate, Skystriker jogged towards him, wanting to talk about something. "I noticed you were at the meeting about the Pharmacist tryouts, and I was wondering if you would like to collaborate with me perhaps? I mean, I think it would be pretty cool if we worked together on gaining knowledge. I know nothing about herbs, but I can always go to other Clans and learn, and then we could meet up and exchange what we know with each other and test each other? It'd be a fair exchange if you're up to it," the ice-blue tabby proposed with a hopeful smile, making eye contact with his fellow soldier with his warm, orange eyes.

"I don't know if it's just me, but I always feel like having a study buddy is better since we get to exchange information and help each other out."

"Oi! Hello!" Skystriker called out in a playful reply, striding towards the larger greyhound. "The name's Skystriker, yours, M'lady?" he asked with a respectful, genuine bow towards the Dame. He wouldn't keep her waiting around under the hot, blazing sun. "I'd also like to request for your intentions on MafiaClan's border?" the ice-blue soldier added, his head still lowered, his nose almost grazing the ground.

Whenever a Dame called, he would be there.

"Thanks!" he laughed, jumping into a standing position and angling his eyes slightly upward to make eye contact with her. His warm, orange eyes flowed with curiosity, wondering what kind of life she led before joining MafiaClan. "You're accepted of course, we have an auto-accept policy, which means that anyone can accept new joiners. Our boss's name is Alfred, he's the top dog around here, yeah? Like Crimson here said, if you have any questions, feel free to ask. We don't bite unless you're an enemy," Skystriker responded jokingly.

"I accept that MafiaClan is not the right place for you, and I bid you a safe journey to wherever your paws lead you," Skystriker meowed solemnly, his resting his warm orange eyes on his former Clanmate. He didn't believe in destiny or fate, every animal carved their lives out by their own paws, their own actions. There was no higher order dictating how they lived.

"Alright! We got a good looking group here," Skystriker remarked, deciding to start. "Konami, Luma, Flavio, Six, Peter, Axais, and Kitty. I'm aware that you all probably know how to deal and accept joiners, but let's review the process again. They're the ones who are deciding to join or not in the end, but in order to make the process and decision easy for them, act welcoming and friendly to them. Ask what their intentions are on MafiaClan's border to confirm first, then proceed with the joining process. Keep in mind to always treat them with respect even if they're being jerks. We're the bigger animals here, and every member here is what keeps the Clan's blood flowing and system working. If there are no questions, we can start the game."

"Aye, betrayal is also grounds for execution," Skystriker added. After all, they could never be too sure if anyone was a spy. They would get caught sooner or later and die at the paws of the executing squad. "Skystriker's the name, nice name Bec," the ice blue soldier complimented, swaying his tail side by side. He thought that she was quite beautiful, star-striking. There were no stains on her crystal white pelt, and it wouldn't be crazy to even think that she looked like an angel with her magnificent, elegant wings. Was she a real angel? Skystriker wouldn't know, he would be the last animal on Earth to know.
