Hawk let out a purr of amusement. The tom sat down, announcing he wasn't going anywhere.
"You wander off from your patrol? Perhaps you would've ran back to tell them as soon as you saw me....so why did you stop to make conversation with a loner?" he questioned, insulting her ability to be a 'warrior'.

Hawk hated all the rules and duties. Although frankly he did wonder why this she-cat stopped to make conversation instead of warn her clan-mates of an intruder. She was quite intresting and Hawk decided to stay in the territory for awhile. This was not his normal routine...

OOC: sorry if i've kept you waiting, we just got a new PC and i've been setting it up & stuff over the past few days(:

Hawk's golden eyes stayed fixed on her. How could she let other cats influence her like that? If it was him, he would've clawed the cat's eyes out and told them to mind their own business and let him do what he wanted. Which was why he stayed a loner.
"You always listen to others? What about what you want?" he questioned.

"You're right, I don't. But no matter what the specifics are, there is no reason for any cat to tell you who you can and cannot be."

Hawk was getting into the deeper stuff, but he didn't mind. He let his guard down because he liked this she-cat.

"Come away with me, and you won't have to be told not to do this or not to do that. Live freely." he tempted, purring softly.

The tom padded up to her now, careful not to touch her. He knew his musky scent would linger on her pelt when she left and he liked that.

"Well I suppose i'll stay here and wait for you then. I know you'll be back," he purred. "But for now, what are you going to do? You can't fight me off.... "

Hawk glanced around, looking for a suitable place to build a nest. He spotted a small opening in the rocks and boulders and continued to purr.

He watched her leave, stunned. He began turning to go make his new home in the rocks. Nodding to himself, he realized he felt content here. Dappled ears shot back as blood curdling screeches reached his ears. Claws automatically unsheathed and he lept onto the rock, pinpointed the sound and shot after it.

"Scarletdapple?" he called, alarmed. The tom followed her scent, anxious to see what he came across when he found her..

Confusion was plastered all over the tom's face. He followed her scent and voice, yet she was just out of eyesight. Although they had a rough start, he wasn't going to let her get killed if he could help it.

"No, Scarletdapple, keep talking, i'll help you!" he shouted. He didn't know who or what had taken her, but Hawk was sure he was large enough to take it on. If he wasn't, well, he would take it on anyway.

The big tom lept furiously through the trees and foliage, desperate to find her and her captor. He could hear the commotion and was sure he was right on their tails...

Rage coursed through his veins and his paws pounded the earth as he raced to find the she-cat. Nobody will kill me, he thought. And nobody will kill her. His ears heard the heart-stopping crack and he ran faster than he ever had before. Her captor couldn't be a rabbit; he had to slow down somehow, especially if he was dragging a cat..

"Scarletdapple, hang on!" he shouted into the forest. "You leave her alone, you mangy fox-heart!" he hissed loudly as his heart beat wildly in his chest.

Hawk kept on her scent trail, and he knew he had to be close.. The tom was prepared to fight to defend the she-cat...

All of a sudden the pretty she-cat was with him, and he quickly looked her over with his golden eyes. He had no idea what had happened, but Hawk knew he would get revenge one day. As his heart beat like a drum, the tom rushed to her side and stood next to her so she could lean on him if she needed.

"I have no idea what just happened," the tom admitted, "But let's go back to my den. Are you alright?" his voice quivered with worry. After moons of living alone and in many different territories, Hawk had gained knowledge like that of a medicine cat and he was ready to race off to get any herbs she needed.

The tom nodded but the worry never left his face as he examined her. She was bleeding and he could tell she had been abused... Hawk could be a jerk at times but never would he force a she-cat to do anything. Rage grew hotter within him, but before he could tend to her wounds, she had let out a shriek. Hawk looked up to see a tom come out and he carefully left Scarletdapple's side.

"Come, you cruel pathetic excuse for a cat." Hawk snarled. He was a large cat himself and wasn't intimidated. He had almost been carried off by a hawk when he was a kit, but thanks to his size and natural fighter instinct, he survived and earned his name. The tortie tom's claws dug into the ground as he awaited his opponent. Golden eyes burned into the stranger, and then Hawk looked over his shoulder to Scarletdapple, letting his eyes soften for just a moment.

"Come now and accept the consequences of your horrid actions, you filth!"

Hawk hissed, standing tall and in front of Scarletdapple. The stranger laughed yet Hawk's expression was blank. The tom snuck around him and was now holding the she-cat. Hawk's large form turned and his fur was raised now, making him appear twice as big. His eyes connected with Scarletdapple's and all he heard was kill.

"Of course," he hissed. Her eyes were mesmerizing but he had to tear his gaze away and get this rat done and over with.

With claws unsheathed, Hawk lept at this enemy at the last moment. He would rip this cat to shreds..

Hawk watched intently as the life faded from the tom's eyes. He then got off th body and grabbed it by the scruff; easily dragging it to the river. After tossing the body into the water he returned to Scarletdapple's side.
"That was easier than expected.. But you are safe now." he assured her as he layed beside her and began to lick her wounds. "D-Do you wish to go back to your camp? I can take you there, and leave."
He remembered how proud she was of her clan and thought she probably wanted to go back. Hawk glanced up at the boulders which formed his new den then looked back at the she-cat.

Now calm, the tom continued to clean her wounds up, until every last one was taken care of. He nodded in satisfaction. She would be fine as long as she didn't get an infection. His ears caught her purring and he himself began to purr as well. Hawk couldn't remember the last time he purred... he had been without a companion for his whole life.
Hawk crouched now and looked her in the eyes, with a kind of burning passion. "Would you like to go back to the den and rest then?" He questioned. Or, he thought, maybe he should hunt for her. Leaf-fall had arrived which meant prey would begin to run low, but there was a river and luckily he knew how to fish..

Hawk got to his paws and dashed to the riverbank, grabbing all the moss he could. Making his way up to the boulders, he entered the den and could see it was much bigger than he thought. At least 5 or so warriors could fit in here. He padded to the back and set the moss down, quickly forming one large nest for the both of them. The tom squeezed out of the entrance and gathered more moss then stopped to help Scarletdapple.

Since his mouth was full, he nodded his head toward the den and stayed right by her side. Breathing through his nose, he absorbed her scent in and it made his fur almost stand on end. He was a tom, and being that he was alone most of his life, being this close with a she-cat arroused his male hormones. There was something special about this she-cat and he tried to calm himself down.

He reached the den entrance and slipped back inside to finish the nest, then popped out again. Hawk managed his best smile at the she-cat and led her inside.

Hawk purred at her humorous comment and flicked his tail toward the nest. Although he expected at least a thank-you since he pretty much saved her life, he wasn't suprised he got a bit of hostility in return. After all he was a loner.

"What, you think i'll do the same as that fox heart did?" he rolled his eyes sarcastically and sat down to clean his white paws, which were now stained red with the blood of the brown and white tom.

Hawk continued to clean himself thoroughly as the she-cat talked. He perked his ears at the sarcastic nick name she gave him. He had cleaned off all the blood from his paws but since he was a loner, he didn't bother to groom himself often if at all.

The tom spoke between licks. "You think all loners are the same?...... I may be a loner yes,...... but you're lucky because I, for one... have morals"

He stopped and looked over at her. "The only difference between you and I, is that you stay with a Clan and I do not."

Hawk definitely wasn't a crazy rapid cat with no morals who just ran around the land eating everything and going insane.

Hawk finished cleaning himself up and stood. She had a slightly annoying sense of humor but maybe that's just because he had just gotten into a fight and was still worked up and serious. His eyes glanced over her.

"Would you like some food? I can fish or hunt." he offered.

If he wasn't being nice today, he would've pounced on the she-cat by now. The tom stood up and slipped through the entrance to his den. He reminded himself to pick up some herbs on the way back for pain, just in case.

"Alright, where's the best hunting spot here?" he asked, also hoping to stir up a conversation with her.
