Brandy padded up the stairs to the second floor of the casino. She stood on the balcony, a wide smile spread across her cheeks. "Hey, weekly tasks, guys!" She called out to the empty space. A few NPCs perked up and her eyes glimmered with excitement. She loved weekly tasks. They were so spontaneous and fun.

Alright-y, it was that time again. Meeting day! The margay straightened her throat to relieve it of the rising hoarseness as she stepped up onto the balcony. She inhaled a deep, calm breath and called, "Meeting, everyone!"

"Alright. So, first of all, I have a promotion! Lucilion, I was thinking maybe you could step up to Five Star Elite? You've been really friendly and active, so I feel you deserve something for that." Yes, Bran had been thinking about this the night before, pondering if it was a good idea. Sure, he was young, but so was Eis, the other Five Star Elite, so... so yeah. Brandy thought it was logical to promote him despite his age.

"Next up, Eis, Sayaka, I'd like to see you guys around more. I know you're trying, and I understand that you're having some difficulties. If you need to, message my roleplayer to let her know why you've been gone. Saya, you're pretty much excused, but Eis, I would like to hear from you." The bandanna-wearing fem felt *y for calling her clanmates out, but she felt it was just. It was for her clan.

"Great job to everyone with ideas on the brainstorm! I'll be keeping that going just in case anything else comes to mind!" The margay chirped.

"Alright-y, I think we're done here!" Brandy finished, leaping from the balcony and taking a smooth seat on the bottom floor.

"Chloe, could you try and play that one slots game in the casino? I heard it was working again for some reason." Brandy meowed to the child. That sounded fun, actually. Bran was interested in how the human game worked.

"Saya, could you please host a battle training?" The margay suggested to the Underboss. Bran was proud of this idea because it could aid her in future raids when the children could actually fight. Not that, of course, she was going to make kids fight, since she wasn't a monster, but... well, you know.

"Leo, how about you play some volleyball?" The tan-furred she-cat meowed. She actually didn't know Leo very well. She wanted to fix that soon.

"How about you go taste that one cake I found behind the bar, Lucilion? It looks like lemon, but I'm not sure." The margay purred, smiling softly.

"And Northern, could you try to cook something?" Brandy suggested before yawning sleepily.

Brandy looked up at Chloe and smiled at her innocence. "Nothin' much." She purred to the child. Then she looked back down at her claws again and giggled. "Yes, absolutely I am." The margay replied jokingly to humor the she-kit. She loved kids. They were so... pure. Unbroken. Unlike her.

"Hi Lucilion." The horned wildcat meowed to the black-furred tom. "I'm doing pretty good. A bit stressed." Bran laughed softly, trailing off into a sigh as she gazed back down at her sharpened claws. She really needed that coffee.

"I don't know yet, Chloe. What do you want to watch?" She meowed, tilting her head. Then she heard Szayel's voice and she cringed, forcing a smile and turning to the fox. "Mm, hi Szayel." She tried hard to sound fascinated, but in reality she wanted to leave.

Brandy saw Fictionalkit fall and darted over to her. "Hey, you okay?" She asked the child, reaching out to help her stand up again. She looked over her shoulder at Lucilion and beamed at him in greeting before looking back over at Fic.

Brandy took a seat again and began stringing more stained glass onto her mask in the pattern of 'black-white-black-white-black-black-white' until the entire mask was covered. She then sat back again to let it dry. Then she would cut holes for the eyes and two smaller ones on each side for the string.

Brandy had rushed over at the sound of Sayaka's choked cry. "Guys? What's happening, is everything oka-" She asked loudly, panicking, looking around to find the problem her friends were so upset about.

But then she saw it. Or, really, him.

Brandy was inhaling a shaky breath when she sighted the wolf and she couldn't breathe for a few moments that seemed like years. There was a long pause that lingered in the air. Usually Brandy would have been displeased by the silence but Bran couldn't think this time. Her mind was at an absolute stop.

There were so many things she wanted to do. Cry, scream out, beg for Emmet to come back, but she knew nothing was going to return him to her. The margay had suffered through too many losses to act helpless anymore. All the margay felt was anger.

Deep fury rising from the depths of her hollow, weak, lonesome soul. "Why does this always. *ing. Happen." The bandanna-wearing fem's usually sweet, cheerful voice rolled out of her mouth low, pained, and resentful.

"Everytime I recover from someone's death, another person dies. It happened with Addy..." Brandy flinched a little at the name, but the betrayed look on her face remained. "A-And it happened with Vandead... and now [i]you, Emmet?" Her darkened amber gaze drifted to the wolf's body.

The deafening silence returned and for once, Brandy wanted to do anything but talk. She wanted the silence. She prayed it would continue. In fact, she wished everyone would continue and leave her behind. It wasn't like she was worth anything.

But the margay spoke, her voice more bitter than ever before. "I don't know what I expected." She hissed spitefully, tears rolling down her cheeks and her claws digging into the earth below her.

"Bye, Emmet." Bran finished in a final rushed snarl of a mew. And then the Boss turned on her heel, choking on a sob, and walked away, kicking up dust in her midst. She was so sick of the destruction of her friends.

She was so sick of being alive.

Brandy approached with slight interest in her gaze, but nothing more. No smile. No glow in her amber orbs. Just... tiredness. Not from lack of sleep- though that was kind of a part of it- but mostly mental wear.

Anyways, enough about her. Bran sat back and listened. She wouldn't participate. She didn't feel like talking right now.

The margay approached and took a deep, shaky, pained breath. Tear-stains were evident on her face. Her paws were sticky from blood drained from her sliced wrists. She was tired and worn and unhealthy. She had eaten, she had slept, but she hadn't felt happy. That was the most pain you could feel.

Brandy sighed as she looked down at Emmet and conjured a small wave of hyacinths before her. She plucked them hastily and then bound them together with a cyan ribbon and let them fall onto the wolf's body.

She didn't say a word. She just stared down at the male with empty orange eyes.

Brandy wasn't sure what Lucilion was doing, but he was doing something. And Brandy was interested in what that something was. So, she took a seat near the child, though did not bother him. He seemed to be concentrated on something she couldn't see, and it would be mean to break that focus. So instead she waited.
