Cable looked at the note in his hand, before back up at the observatory. He sighed as he considered the note, its promise of escape from the academy was tempting, and his main reason for even getting sent there was to get his sister out, but she had been here long enough for the indoctrination to sink it's hooks in deep, so now Cable was stuck between two minds. Just getting out, or dragging her out with him... the choice was a tough one, but deep down he knew he couldn't just abandon her, despite how much of a loner he tried to make himself seem.

He gave up debating with himself and headed for the Observatory door, pushing it open and slipping inside, looking at the others there with a frown "Is this everyone then?" He asked bluntly "Or are we expecting more?"

Cable turned his head to the latecomer, giving him a nod of acknowledgement before turning back to Cas "So, you want out, and you can't get out alone, because the guards are ready to stop one person. But you think that by working together we can overcome a small army and get out? Then what? What stops the Academies just hunting us down, all over again? What stops them dragging us back here, kicking and screaming, before strapping us back down onto those tables and injecting whatever nonsense serum they've come up with this time?" His speech was harsh and blunt, even as he added 'What keeps my little sister safe from this hell?' in his mind, not realising Cas could potentially read his thoughts.

"And when we fight, what stops them escalating? What stops them deciding we're not worth the effort to keep and just killing us? Because all they'd have to do is claim it was some terrible accident, then go find new subjects. And what about the governments who let this happen? Even if we burnt every Academy to the ground and wiped all the information they have on us, I bet you there's a blacksite somewhere where some spook would happily drag us all off to, so they can rip us apart to find out what makes us so 'Special'." Cable's voice was hard, deliberately looking to unnerve Cas, to find out how she'd respond.

Braith rubbed her eyes as she sat up in bed, an urgent beeping making her turn her head to see the alarm clock she had set to wake her at 1:30am proclaiming that it was now after 2am, and that she was late to the meeting she'd found a note for. She was only considering attending to find out why anyone would want to leave the Academy, because she just couldn't understand why. She stood from her bed and started heading toward the Observatory.

Cable tensed when Cas spoke about how some of the people had become zombie-like, his mind jumping to the conclusion that she was talking about Braith, especially considering how long she'd have been here, before turning to Tony in response to his speech "Oh, exceptional logic there. And what about the people who aren't living weapons, exactly? Is the threat of you stopping them cutting apart someone who can, oh I don't know... Slightly chill the air around them?" He sighed, shaking his head before turning to Thalia "An Academy full of Corpses is going to pull more attention from a Government than some kids vanishing."

Braith could hear raised voices from the observatory and nudge the door open just enough for her to slip in, hoping to go relatively unnoticed. After all, she was only there to find out why people wanted to leave.

Braith frowned as Rowan spoke, tilting her head "Prisoners? Soldiers? What? We're not being trained to be soldiers. We're learning to help save people." She retorted, crossing her arms "If we were being trained as soldiers, why would they care so much about our health? Why else would they do all those tests every day?"
