"Ugh." A small, plump brown tabby tom flopped down gracelessly against the brittle grass, expression twisted in a grimace of dispair.
"You said it." Elmpaw huffed, trudging over to sit down next to his brother, his thick brown pelt coated in a layer of crumbling dirt. He had desperately tried to cool down by rolling around in a drying mud puddle, but was forced out by his mother.
A lanky, long-furred black she-cat playfully smooshed Snailpaw into the ground, forepaws pressing down on his shoulder blades. Her claws flexed over soft, pliant muscle. "You two remind me of Cedarpelt's whiny brood back home." Spiderpaw teased her siblings, flashing them a toothy grin.
-
Spiderpaw startled when the unfamiliar she-cat spoke to them, her golden eyes widening briefly. The long-limbed ShadowClan apprentice's ears flattened against her skull, and she quickly leaped off of her brother. "Hi..." She mumbled.
Elmpaw gave the stranger a much more polite smile, sitting up to curl his tail around himself. He didn't seem to be bothered that she saw him in such a filthy state.
"Hello." Snailpaw mumbled, refusing to move or open his eyes. He stretched out his limbs further and rolled onto his back after it began to feel too warm.

Cedarpelt gathered her two kits close, ears flattened against her skull. The ShadowClan queen seemed quite uncomfortable with the roudy fighting taking place nearby.
"Stop that!" The flustered she-cat hissed, plucking a plump, sleek-furred black tom-kit up and depositing him closer to her underbelly.
"But-" He struggled in her grip, continuing after being set back down. "What are they? Why can't I fly too? How is that fair?" Leechkit whined, disapointment tingeing his mew.
"Because you have bees in your brain-- StarClan woudn't give someone like you that kind of power." Buzzardkit shoved his smaller sibling over, and the two proceded to wrestle each other into the grass.
"Fox-breath!" Leechkit hissed.
"Frog-face!" Buzzardkit spat back.

A young boy, no more than eleven years of age, surveyed the clearing full of assorted creatures before turning to the rather large reptilian being curled around a tree trunk about ten feet above his head. A patch of red marred his otherwise pale skin, and he scratched at it briefly, a look of suffering on his face. Poison ivy sucks.
"I told you not to walk through those vines, idiot." The maroon-scaled dragon hissed in contempt, topaz optics narrowed. It seemed to lack any sort of winged appendages, and instead had the long body of a snake with four long, spindly limbs attached.
The boy stuck out his lower lip in an attempt at looking hurt by his companion's words, but a smile soon found it's way back onto his face. "Eh, I've gotten worse. From you." He teased, grin flashing at the dragon's flustered countenance.

Gluk, shrouded by a swath of foliage, peered above plant stems and grass stalks with wide blue optics. His pale green pelt helped hide him from curious eyes as he awaited the return of his parents. The young panselier was beginning to feel a wee bit peckish.
-
Tigerflame ran into the panselier, seeing as he was keeping himself hidden so the forest clans wouldn't know he was there. "What the-!" He hissed, tripping over what looked to him like a clump of foliage.
//mobile (low muse)
Gluk winced as the other feline toppled over him, flattening his ears to his head. He gave a startled cry, scrambling deeper into the thick foliage, terror making his eyes widen further. "I'm sorry!" He whined, pale green fur bristling.
-

Thinking that Tigerflame hadn't really seen him, Gluk scrambled away, blue eyes searching for the colorful pelts of his parents. "Ulqa'eb!" He wailed, hoping his mother would hear and come to his rescue. He missed her comforting presence already.
-

Gluk gave a pained yelp when his paw caught on a jutting tree root, effectively tripping him. The panselier kitten toppled into a small, pale green heap on the ground, dazed and confused.
-

Gluk struggled to his paws, feeling a bit miffed at everything that's happened so far. He looked down at his muddied fur in disgust, dipping his head to groom the muck away before he stopped and gagged at the vile taste. He really needed his mother, or at least a small body of water to wash himself in. The panselier kit quickly peered around the clearing, taking a moment to duck behind a honeysuckle plant.
-

Gluk noticed that there was a clan cat near his hiding place, and ducked down further into the honeysuckle, comforted by the pleasant scents wafting around him.
-

Gluk winced; they found him! "I... I am..." He mumbled, lifting a paw to bend a few branches back so that they could see him. His blue eyes were round and pleading, pale green pelt streaked with mud from his previous stumble.
-

Gluk squirmed out from the cover of the honeysuckle bush, ears glued to his skull and mud-splattered pelt bristling. He knew that his mother would be disappointed in him at this point-- she always said never to trust strangers. "Have you seen my mother? She said she would be back, but she isn't..."
-

"She's very pretty..." Gluk replied, blue eyes watching the two strangers carefully. "Mostly pink, and she has an antenna on her head..." He shuffled his paws, suddenly looking miserable. "But she hasn't been back for a long time..."
-

clicked.
-

"Thank you!" The panselier kit gasped, a delighted look on his face. "I am kind of hungry..." He added, shifting nervously on his paws when his stomach grumbled hungrily.
-

Gluk nodded gratefully, before tucking back into the safety of the honeysuckle shrub. He nibbled lightly on a few blooms, searching for the sweet nectar inside, trying to ignore the constant rumbling in his tummy.

OOC: BRB. Dinner.

OOC: Back!
IC: Gluk playfully batted at a leaf, careful not to rattle the branches of the honeysuckle shrub he hid himself in.
