She stayed closed to her aunt, not minding the tail that rested on her shoulder, remaining in silence as she let Flashie ramble on. It seemed to be helping her in a way, or so Wisteria thought, but she nodded her head here in there at parts of the monologue to show that she was still listening. It appeared that Flash was doubting her strength, something Wisteria also didn't fully comprehend- Flashie seemed normal to her, strong enough to her- but apparently her aunt / cousin thought otherwise.
"You don't have to be in order to pull through..." Wist murmured, closing her eyes, only feeling somewhat tired from her own lac of sleep- but she had gone to bed early, and had woken up early for this moment- she could always nap later in the day too if needed. However when Flashie proposed her question, asking just what it was that Wisteria was waiting for, she took a pause to think of her answer. She was waiting for the sun to rise, of course, but it was more than that to the kitten. Would Flashie understand even, if she were to explain? Tilting her head over, she looked up at the other feline, broadly smiling.
"I'm waiting for something beautiful," she told the other Skyclanner, thinking that that would suffice before she turned her gaze back towards the sky, towards the trees and few archaic buildings that still stood around, watching the reflection in the glass, and realizing that soon it would be time.
"Aunt, I don't understand a lot of the things you were telling me," she soon began to ramble, trying to pass the time for the final moments before sunrise. "But I think you can pull through, no matter how much you doubt yourself? I think. I hope this helps cheer you up some." the kitten spoke softly, in her quiet, whimsical way as her large, pale golden eyes turned back from the sky to her family member, before drifting to the sky for the last time. The dark sheet began to fade, turning a very pale blue, followed by pastel golds and oranges that peaked over the horizon. It shone through the trees, and the birds began to sing, chirruping and announcing the coming of dawn. The trees became naught but black silhouettes against the sky, the crumbling apartment buildings doing the same. Their frames and inky black against glowing blues, golds and pinks, but perhaps the most stunning of all was the way it reflected in the glass of the windows. It danced upon their surfaces, reflecting back off and staining the world colours in front of them. Warm light washed over the sky, the apartment buildings gleaming, the trees filtering light through them and casting a dappled shadow over the two felines that sat below.
"This was what I was waiting for," Wisteria whispered, smiling as she watched the world come to life around her.
