Dwaal, to Specialkit, was like a father. A father that he had never had — or at least, hadn't ever shown his face. A father was just a pleasant dream to Specialkit, and he would have been very disappointed if he had met the unknown one that he already had.
Among the many other things that the little kitten didn't know, the majority of the words that Epsilon had just slung his direction was included in it. 'Dead?' 'Ignorant?' 'Brat?' Okay, maybe that wasn't the majority, but let's just say it is for the sake of over-exaggerating.
That was why Specialkit was beginning to form a false impression of Epsilon.
The caracal had determined that Epsilon was trying to teach him new words. That was nice of him! If he would tell Specialkit what they all meant, that'd be a little better, but he'd have to deal with what he had. The small male swung his head from Epsilon back to Dwaal's, unmoving body, blinking and tilting his head. "But... Dwaal right there." He pointed one pale orange paw at Dwaal.
The innocence of children was never-ending. As was the ignorance.
