Specialkit was not unlike other children that had come before him. They all started with walking, making nonsense noises and tripping over their own feet — or paws, in his case. And then they started talking, making sense of the world in their own individual way. But there were bound to be things that were different about Specialkit than any other kid.
One of them being that he thought that maybe, just maybe, that dandelions in bloom were good eating.
The caracal had wandered out of the farmhouse, sneezing once as his nose entered the fresh air of the world. It was kind of stifling inside the farmhouse, if we were all being honest, so the zephyr that met Specialkit as he stepped outside brought forth a shiver from the tiny kitten. But he wasn't to be put off by such a thing! So instead, he set his gaze on a peculiar-looking growth that extended from the ground. It was different from the other grass stalks.
It was a dandelion. Though, of course, he didn't know that!
The youthful male trundled closer, giving the plant a small whiff. Smelled weird... could you eat it? Opening his pink maw, his closed it over the blooming-white dandelion and nipped off the top of the stalk. And the swallowed it. That part was just a kitten's reflex, swallowing anything that entered their mouth.
So it wasn't his fault when he started sneezing.
The dandelion's 'petals' were stuck in his throat — not so that there was a danger of him choking, but so it was tickling his throat. And since the throat was connected to the nose... well, let's just say there was some sneezing. A lot of sneezing. You'd think he was going to sneeze out all of his intestines.
