Drizzlestone padded up to the she-cat, curious about her pacing. "Silverpad, is everything's alright?"

Shaderise is a black tomcat with piercing blue eyes, one white ear, tail tip, and both front paws. He's quiet and polite, but will jump to your aid if you need him.
-
Ooc: wow, it's been a long time...
Ic: Shadepaw purred louder, burying her face in the warm fur under his chin.
-
"So, um..." Shadepaw began nervously, "About what I asked before, about having a mate and stuff..."
-
"Do you, maybe, sorta want to..." she trailed off, feeling heat flush under her pelt, and huffed a breath before beginning again, "Do you want to be... my mate?"
-
"No one said we'd have to stop training," she mewed. "I think it would be more fun, actually."
-
"Thank you," she purred, puzzling her face down beneath his chin. "I was afraid you wouldn't say yes..."
-
((Has Smokepaw had his warrior's ceremony yet?))
"That's so sweet of you," that's it, there was no way that smile was getting off her face. "C'mon, we should get back to camp." -
((oh, okay, cuz Shaderise had hers ages ago...))
"We should catch some prey for the fresh kill pile first, though." -

Shadepaw dropped into a crouch, ears pricked for wildlife. She felt super alert, awake, alive because of this glowing sentiment under her skin. She had a mate, someone who felt the sane way about her as she did him. It excited her, and she felt as if she could run for days and never have to take in a breath.

((should we go to the warriors' thread?))
Shaderise picked up the dead mouse by its tail, resisting the urge to crunch into it. -
Shaderise sat by the river, letting the cool breeze ruffle her fur. She didn't really feel like being in camp, it was boring there, so she'd told some of the cats she was going hunting. She didn't feel like doing that, either. But sitting by the river gave a good illusion of her doing so. There was a slight danger of her getting in trouble, but it wasn't something she really cared about; newleaf was here, the weather was getting warmer, there was plenty of prey for other cats to catch. she was much more content sitting here.

Shaderise didn't hear him coming, she was far too occupied with her own thoughts.
-
"Hi," she smiled, blue eyes flicking over to his face.
-
"I'm fine," she said, eyes bright and clear as she gazed down into the depths of the river. "It's really pretty, isn't it?"
-
"You know, I've never felt this way about any other cat..." she murmured, nuzzling under Smokefoot's jaw. "Or any cat, for that matter..."
-
"It's... it's like I'm lightning and you're my thunder," she went on, trying to articulate her feelings, "We're two pieces that fit together perfectly... I'm sorry. I must sound so ridiculous..." she chuckled nervously, backing away out of Smokepaw's space. Her eyes were glued to her paws, a hot flush creeping beneath her fur.
-
"Of course I do," she shook her head, ears flat on her skull, "I mean, I guess I'm really happy to have you and I don't want to scare you away or anything like I did my mum and I'm just really afraid of being alone again and oh, Starclan, I'm ranting..."
-
And.. the hot prickle of embarrassment was back. "R-really?"
