Hi everyone...

I'm not new to the site or to roleplaying, but I have made a new account after a few months of inactivity due to school, work, and other personal issues. I was previously snowflight9976 on my first account (snowyy) and then thesatellites on my second account, now waystogo. I know, I'm not very creative with usernames but I'm getting there, I swear. Anyway, I'd consider myself an incredibly literate and fairly advanced roleplayer, as I do get a bit nitpicky with my grammar and literacy due to a high interest in said subjects as well as writing and other English-related fields.

So not to further bore you with the extensive details of my interest in English, I'll go ahead and let you know what I plan on focusing on (in regards to my roleplaying) this time around...

I'll probably pick up more as I go. I've been rereading the Warriors saga and I've been reminded as to why I joined the site in the first place (5+) years ago! What a refresher. I love the series and I can't wait to get back into traditional Clan roleplay.
So drop me a message or just say hello if any of the crap I just dropped up there is even remotely interesting to you. Can't wait to dive back in!

A semi advanced, traditional Clan

ABOUT
CedarClan is a traditional Clan that occupies a large chunk of forest-dense territory at a high elevation. They are neither all good, nor all bad. They are a neutral Clan that has had their fair share of high highs and low lows, however, in the majority of their time in existence, each leader and Clanmates alike have done a respectable job trying their collective best to uphold the Warrior Code and traditional values of their warrior ancestors. CedarClan has been around for a long while, a great deal of years, and has seen and since passed seven previous leaders.

TERRITORY
CedarClan sits atop a plateau-like chunk of land that is elevated about forty feet above sea level. The land stretches out for about two square miles and CedarClan's territory occupies a small corner of said space. The land is rocky and bracken-filled in the core of territory, surrounded by dense forest undergrowth, ferns, and tall cedars that create a canopy above the forest floor. On the outskirts of the territory, the forest and trees begin to thin out and the ground is riddled with rocks and boulders jutting out over the sandy beaches that meld into the ocean. In the far corner of CedarClan territory, there is a rocky cliff that drops off sharply into the rocky ocean below, a 40ft drop. The cats generally steer clear of the beach because it is sticky, wet and uncomfortable. But when prey is scarce, they may venture to the water to try their luck at fishing. Below is a rough map of the territory:

RULES
1. This is a semi-advanced roleplay. I expect no one-liners. I want paragraphs, if you are going to write at all, then write with everything in you. Don't give me some half-assed few sentences. Make me see what you are describing in my mind. Be interesting, be lively, write beautifully or not at all! It will make it more fun that way.
2. This is a traditional Clan that follows traditional values from the Warriors saga books. Now, whether or not the characters follow said guidelines in the roleplay is a different story. But just keep in mind, this is realistic. Only domestic cats, cat speak, realistic as possible. Keep in mind that cats with serious disabilities such as blindness, deafness, missing limbs, etc. cannot be warriors. ALSO: traditional names will be the only ones accepted. If you have trouble coming up with a traditional prefix or suffix for your cat, I will link a helpful guide with a list of good ones here (for acceptable prefixes) and here (for acceptable suffixes).
3. No mute cats or motherless kits, please.
4. Be dramatic, but not over the top. Keep things interesting without blowing them out of proportion or being too unrealistic. I love plots. Bring them to the plotting thread, please!
5. Track the plotting/chatting thread once you are accepted and before you roleplay. No chatting or plotting on this thread, please.
6. Only heterosexual characters, please, for the sake of realism. If you've read this far, write 'easy come easy go' somewhere in your form.
7. Be thoughtful and respectful to everyone involved.
8. Try to keep the gender ratios even.

NAME: Wrenkit -- Wrenpaw -- Wrenfoot
GENDER: Tom
RANK: Warrior

APPEARANCE: Wrenfoot is an averaged size Tom with a thick, tabby pelt of short, dark ginger fur. His eyes are olive green and his tail is a bit short. His paws are all white, as well as the tip of his tail and his whiskers. He is of average build, not overly muscular but not too lean or thin. There is nothing too outstanding about his appearance, aside from that his fur shines a iridescent orange glow when the sun hits it at the right angle.
SCARS/MARKINGS: A few minor scars, including one on his nose where a thorn was once lodged deeply during his apprenticeship.

PERSONALITY: Wrenfoot is intelligent and pleasant. He is not, and never has been, overly friendly, but he certainly isn't by any means rude. He is patient, but at times can be quite irritable. He rarely ever lashes out and is in no regard a hothead or short tempered. Where he lacks in communication, he makes up for in his fierce loyalty and intense passion for CedarClan. He grew up in it and loves his Clanmates dearly. He wouldn't need to think twice about putting his life on the line for what he loves. It is instinct for him.
STRENGTHS: Good in battle, fair hunter, level headed
WEAKNESSES: Can be a bit clumsy, is sometimes forgetful

HISTORY: [opt.] Born and raised in the Clan. His old mentor was Spiderstar, back when he was Spiderwhisker and the Clan deputy.
KIN: Whiteheart (father, deceased) Dawnwind (mother, deceased) Brindlebird (sister) Runningsun (brother) Sunpaw (nephew)
LOVE INTEREST: None, will develop

Nothing too special here. Just for chat and plotting in order to keep the sign up thread clean and without spam or undue confusion. Plus I love to plot. Throw out any ideas you have, I'm anxious to hear. I really want this to be interesting.
Ideas for plots? Natural disasters, prophecies, wars, border scuffles, etc.? Throw them out here. I'd love to discuss.

Name: Heatherkit -- Heatherpaw -- Heatherclaw
Gender: Molly
Age: 7 moons
Appearance: [link] [link] Heatherpaw is a dark mottled she-cat with smokey grey, black, pale grey, and creamy, off-white patches and spots. Her eyes are olive green.
Personality: stubborn, disobedient, headstrong, crude

Heatherpaw is not the nicest of cats, in fact she's bad tempered, sarcastic, sharp-tongued, and generally pretty unpleasant to be around. She has little to no ability to form close bonds with her peers and it renders her a bit socially impaired, resulting in the development of a loner complex of the sorts. She has an inflated ego and has a habit of constantly goofing off and getting herself and her clanmates into trouble; she's a real pawful [ehehe]. Heatherpaw has a tendency to ignore orders and have problems with authority, likely because she didn't have strong parent figures to raise her all the way through kithood. She is stubborn and has a nasty temper. She likes to mess around and hates to be told what to do. If you can't find her, chances are she's in the nursery telling ghost stories to scare the kits or being punished by her mentor, changing the den's bedding. She has little to no interest in toms or romantic relationships, but at times she wonders what it would be like to be loved by someone. She doesn't dwell on it.

History: Heatherpaw was born outside of the Clan, but her whereabouts before OakClan are shady and unknown. Her parents were not in the picture and she was brought into the Clan when she was only a kit. Without any family or roots to fit in with, Heatherpaw felt isolated and unable to connect with her peers, who all seemed to have family and kin that cared deeply for them within the Clan.
Secrets: Heatherpaw is secretly very lonely.
Crush: May or may not develop

Heatherpaw crept along slowly, eyes narrow with what could be concentration. Her tall ears were erect and facing her target. Flashflood. She was creeping along behind him, where he was sitting, inattentive, finishing off a mouse. Her ear flicked as thunder crashed distantly, with the promise of violence in the near future. Storms were common here, and often raged for hours. Heatherpaw hated to be wet, but couldn't be bothered to "just stay put" where she was always told to during storms, tucked away safely in the apprentice's den, secure from all the rain and lightning and thunder. A gust of wind buffeted her mottled fur with gusto, carrying the thick, humid scent of rain. The sky above was growing increasingly darker by the minute and more thunder was rolling through the air above. Better get this quick, she thought, narrowing her eyes and creeping just a little bit closer, shuffling her paws clumsily, as she tried her best to remain in the cover of the rocky terrain. She was only a two or three foxlengths behind her mentor. Ready... Steady... Heatherpaw crouched, coiling her hind muscles, wiggling her haunches, trying to hold her balance. Now! With a shriek of battle, she launched herself into the air, straight for Flashflood with her paws outstretched, having executed the final phase of today's planned ambush against her mentor.

A wave of triumph surged through Heatherpaw-- this was the first time one of her ambushes had actually been successful in making contact with the tom rather than being sidestepped and crashing hard to the stones below. She had a small scar on her shoulder from a few moons back when she'd landed too hard on the stones and cut herself open. But not this time! "Yes!" she shrieked excitedly, "I got you now--" However, her excitement was cut tragically short as Flashflood's paw came whipping around, yanking her own paws out from under her. Before she knew it, Heatherpaw's chin hit the rocks below, rattling her teeth with the impact. The wind was knocked right out of her lungs and she was again where she had been countless times before: knocked flat on her side.
Heatherpaw gasped, trying to catch her breath. She scrambled quickly, indignantly, to her paws with a low growl. She tried to say something but was still short of breath and it came out as only a wheeze. She narrowed her olive green eyes at her mentor, ears flattening against her skull as she shifted her weight to one side before launching herself at him once more, head-on. It was an attack that rarely was ever successful for Heatherpaw, but she had a habit of letting her temper get the best of her and cloud her judgment.

Again, Heatherpaw was sent sprawling with ease. Flashflood's blow knocked her clean off her paws and sliding on her side across the rocks. Again, the wind was knocked right out of her lungs and when she tried to pull herself to her paws, she fell quickly back down. She caught her breath with a moments hesitation and dragged herself to her paws, whipping around as quickly as she could manage, ready to attack, only to find herself standing alone atop the rocky incline. She caught only a glimpse of tabby fur disappearing into the undergrowth. "Yeah, run away!" called the short she-cat, her strained yell crackling at the end as she panted. She grunted and turned away, rolling her shoulder. It was sore where she'd hit the rocks. Her ribs on her left side were also sore, enough to cause a wince, but Heatherpaw paid it no mind. She pelt a small plop on her head and glanced up to see the dark swirlin clouds overhead. The usual. Another plop hit her nose and soon the clouds were opening up to a drizzle. But what cat could tell what it would turn into? She stood as thunder rumbled low, closer now than it had been before. The she-cat turned and trotted off after her mentor, reaching the clearing in no time at all to see Berrystar with all the stormwatchers gathered around, Flashflood included, instructing them to go out to the plains and inspect. The plains were the most open area with the highest elevation, making them the most vulnerable to violent storm assaults. That was what made the stormwatchers' job dangerous. She was generally not allowed to go with them due to the apparent risk, but it didn't stop her from bothering and whining to Flashflood to take her along.

Heatherpaw's ears flicked, as if with disinterest when her mentor called her name to follow and and a pack of other apprentices and their mentors alike were called into the forest. She trotted along behind all the others, her paws dragging a little over the stones. Her tall ears pointed forward to hear Wolfpaw and Dovepaw talking about how it probably wasn't battle training and she let out a short groan. Any interest that was left quickly dissipated. "Please, StarClan, don't let it be hunting," she muttered under her breath to no one in particular. She was lagging behind all the others, hoping that maybe she could slip back off to camp without Oakstar wouldn't noticing her absence, in hopes she could avoid attending whatever allegedly useless training session this was going to be.

//mobile

Heatherpaw listened to all this, only half paying attention, seeing as a moth was fluttering around over head and she took to watching the latter. She finally snapped back into reality when Oakstar said her name. "So what are we doing?" She said to her mentor, but her head was turned, still watching the moth with mild interest. She had a feeling they would be hunting and the thought made her skin crawl. How awful. She'd rather do battle training any day of the week. A strong Clan is a Clan that can not only defeat its enemies, but annihilate the opposition, she told herself, her olive eyes flickering away from the moth and landing on Oakstar who had yet to instruct her.
