(Alright, thanks! Sorry if my writing is a bit awkward, I haven't been on in a while)
Kaito Sasaki
Lean fingers flipped through pages and pages of manga, never quite sastified. Kaito had come to this manga store, hoping to find something that might suit his fancy. He hadn't been there long however, so you could call him quite picky. As he looked around, grey clouds and small droplets, soon turning fatter, outside the window showed quite the storm. Atleast I brought an umbrella, Kaito thought somewhat cheerfully, seeing as a storm was nothing you would want to get caught up in uncovered.
He didn't like bad weather that much, as it influenced his mood. In fact, many things such as weather could make or break how he felt at the time. So, as Kaito just stood there, pondering, he noticed a young man, most likely an employee, shelving mangas that had been left out. He started to walk towards him, hoping to ask for a recommendation. Instead, he found himself leaning down to help pick up the manga that had fallen out of the employee's hand.
-
Kaito straightened up along with Aoi, and ran his fingers through his shaggy blue hair. "No problem at all!" He chuckled, and rested his equally blue eyes on Aoi's face. He seemed to have somewhat cold exterior, not that it bothered Kaito, he just couldn't help but notice. He soon realized that his gaze might have rested on Aoi for an uncomfortable amount of time and quickly looked to the side.
"Ah, well, I was just hoping you could recommend some good mangas. Thought you might know some good ones since you, uh, work in a manga store..." The sentence trailed off, sounding painfully awkward and obvious in his mind. He was still somewhat embarrassed from their encounter, and seeing as Kaito didn't get out much, his social skills weren't exactly... Polished.
-
Directing his gaze back to Aoi, Kaito thought about the question. He knew he came over here with a thought in mind, but he had now forgotten. Kaito found this fact strange, and it bugged him to not know what had caused this blank. He had a sneaking suspicion, but he pushed the thoughts down and decided it would be best not to keep Aoi waiting. Kaito had noticed Aoi's somewhat snappy tone, but he decided working through such dreary weather would make anyone upset. "Well, I guess Action or Fantasy.." These genres were actually somewhat tossed out there, as he was still quite distracted by a strange feeling. Once again, he pushed these thoughts down, deciding not to ponder his heated face and blank mind.
-
It was Kaito's turn to smile as he listened to Aoi. He couldn't really tell if he was listening to his exact words or just the sound of his voice... Woah, what was that? What are you, a middle school girl?Kaito shook his head to rid of these thoughts and listened carefully. He noted the hint of nervousness in Aoi's voice, and wondered if he was having the same thoughts. No, nevermind, pay more attention to the suggestions. Kaito moved somewhat beside Aoi and reached for what seemed to read, he was still distracted, Attack on Titan. "Alright, I think I'm gonna take this one. Would've never found it without you, thanks." Kaito smiled and reluctantly headed towards the cash register.

(This'll be my last post for tonight)
Kaito quickly paid for the manga, most definitely taking notice of Aoi's brief presence as he passed near him. He looked down to hide his conflicted face and said a quick "Thank you," to the man working the register. Stepping out of the store he took note of the storm once again. Huh, I had forgotten about this... He remembered looking out the window, what seemed like ages ago, and seeing the at first light rain. Fortunately, he had brought an umbrella. It was, however, quite small and could only be described as 'It got the job done'. Kaito extended it and was about to rush back home when he noticed Aoi. Warmth returned to his face, but he quickly saw that Aoi had no umbrella.
Kaito looked up at his pitiful one, and back at Aoi. Swallowing a lump in his throat, he slowly walked over and quietly said, "Some bad weather, huh," He tried to keep a straight face and added, "Do you need an umbrella?" In reality, Kaito thought to himself, I could have just walked away. Maybe I just wanted an excuse to talk to him again...
-
"No, it's okay, I insist. You'll get soaked if you go out there.." Kaito said quietly, trying to mask the wobbliness in his voice. He too, decided to look at whom he was talking to, even if it meant his heartbeat became even more rapid. He even wondered if Aoi could hear it, because he sure could. Slowly, Kaito moved the umbrella over Aoi's head and managed a small smile. "It's okay," he repeated "Don't worry." The smile did so little to hide his red face and conflicted emotions. The weather! Yes, the weather is giving me a cold or something, that must be it. Kaito knew, of course, this wasn't true. Anything to help him calm down from these strange feelings.
-
Kaito became stiff as Aoi stepped closer. He hadn't really expected him to agree, seeing as Kaito was just a stranger. It did give him much joy to do this, but he was sure it was just because of the nice deed. A nice deed couldn't make him like this, definitely not, but he assured himself it was nothing.
"It's fine, I promise." Kaito assured Aoi once again. "If you don't mind me asking, where do you live? I'll take you there." Kaito realized how creepy that might have sounded, but he was honestly concerned about Aoi. He wanted to make sure he got home safely.
-
Glad to see Aoi didn't run away in fear, he nodded and started walking. Kaito could still felt his thundering heartbeat and heated face, which only seemed to grow more and more. It bugged him to no end, not knowing why he felt this way. Such new feelings were annoying, as Kaito was sure he had never felt this way before. He tried to ignore it and focused on the path ahead of him.
-
Kaito stared up at the large apartment building, a small voice in his head saying This is where he lives... It somehow gave Kaito joy to know this fact, but it also scared him that he was so excited. He looked down at Aoi, hearing his small 'thank you' and managed out a "Your welcome.." When he tried to look away, when he even tried to walk away, he just couldn't.
His mind told him to go, but he stayed. Kaito didn't know what to do, if he didn't move soon he would seem creepy. Suddenly, and without much thought, he blurted out "How about I walk you in? Just to the lobby.." Why'd you say that? Stupid! You weirdo! Kaito's face became a shade of red he hadn't thought possible and he quickly looked away, anywhere but Aoi. "Oh um, sorry, nevermind, I didn't mean to say that.." Kaito whispered, yet he still couldn't seem to turn away.
-
The strange joy Kaito felt seemed to grow even more when Aoi said yes. He smiled against his own will, but it was hard not to. He didn't know why talking to someone he had just met made him so happy. Kaito followed Aoi up the stairs, his strange exciment dwindling, knowing he would have to leave soon. He stepped into the lobby, stopping in front of Aoi.
Then, the words he didn't know he had been longing to hear reached him. His name. The stranger who had made him so flustered for some reason, now had a name. Aoi... I like that. I like that a lot... He thought somewhat dreamily in his head. Kaito grinned and reached out a hand, "Well, Aoi, I'm Kaito. It's very nice to meet you." He wanted to say Aoi's name again, knowing he may never hear it again. This fact saddened Kaito, but they were still strangers, even if they knew each other's names.
-
Kaito stared silently as their hands touched. The small amount of contact made his heart face once again, still feeling warm and happy. When Aoi let go, Kaito quickly retracted his hand also. He looked down at his hand for a small second, and then back at Aoi.
"I guess I should be going Aoi... Maybe we'll see each other again." As false as the last statement was, Kaito clung on to some hope. He stood there for a while, then turned and walked towards the doors. Glancing back before he left, he uttered a small "Goodbye." and walked out. Pulling out his umbrella, Kaito lightly fanned himself, desperately trying to get rid of the heat on his face. He refrained from looking back, but it was hard. He wanted to see Aoi again, if only for a moment.
-
Kaito trudged home, not bothering to take a quicker way. He didn't really want to walk further away from the building Aoi was in, but he had to. At least home provided a safe place to for him to think. So, while he thought, he looked up to realize he had walked right past his house. Sighing, Kaito walked up to his door and unlocked the door.
The house was dark and empty, which reminded Kaito how lonely he was. Kaito didn't bother to turn on the lights and went straight to his room. Flopping onto the bed, he let out a very child like whine of frustration. He buried his face in the cold pillows to reduce the burning in his cheeks.
"What is up with me," Kaito whispered "I've never been like this before... Am I sick? Or is it something else?" Kaito was seriously questioning himself and his feelings. One thing was for sure, he'd have to go back to that manga store, where it had all began.
(Time skip?)
-
Kaito woke up in his bed, as expected and did everything he would usually do in the morning. However, everything was a bit distracted and hurried. The only thing Kaito really took time on was his appearance. He couldn't decide on what shirt, shoes, or even pants to wear. Everything just didn't seem to suit him. For some reason, he wanted to look good. Not fancy or dressed up, but... good. Kaito had decided to go back to the manga store, and was convinced he had to look appealing.
He finally put an outfit on and went through the rest of his morning schedule. Kaito stepped outside, prepared to find out what was making him so strange. He walked quickly, excitement growing as he got closer and closer to the manga store. It was probably because he knew who was in it. We don't have to be strangers! Kaito thought stubbornly We'll see each other again, and this time, something better will happen. He wasn't sure of this fact of course, but he convinced himself otherwise.
Soon Kaito reached said manga store, and just sort of stood there. He breathed out, clearing his mind, and stepped in. Trying to make himself look normal, he casually looked through aisles as any other customer would.
-
Kaito glanced up to discover Aoi working in the aisles. His eyes lingered on Aoi's face before he quickly looked down. He swallowed a large lump in his throat, finding his mouth had gone dry and his face became heated. He wanted to immediately run over there and strike up a conversation, but he restrained himself. He was simply there, as a customer. Well, that's what he told himself.
Kaito slowly walked out of the aisle he was in, going to one closer to Aoi. It was quite obvious what he was doing, but Kaito tried to be inconspicuous. He soon found himself in the aisle closest to Aoi. With a wobbly voice he managed to say, "Hello there." He let out a nervous chuckle and looked back down at the mangas.
-
Kaito stayed quiet for a while, but soon spoke once again. "So.. How long have you been working here?" Small talk was still talk, and Kaito really wanted to talk to Aoi. He really wanted to get to know him, even if it was just for this moment.
If it sastified these strange feelings in him, Kaito would do anything. He had decided it was something to do with Aoi that caused such feelings, and talking to him would straighten them out.
-
"Pretty long time, huh? It's good you've had a job for so long... To be honest, I'm not that good at keeping a job..." He chuckled, then realized how much he was talking. "Ah, sorry, I must be distracting you." He looked over to watch Aoi straighten mangas. Kaito just stared for a small while before looking away, heat once again returning to his face.
-
Kaito was relieved to hear Aoi didn't mind his rambling. In fact, he was glad to hear he was welcome to talk. He tried to busy himself with looking at the shelves of mangas, but couldn't help but look up once again. He noticed Aoi walking towards him, and became quite flustered. In fact, it seemed Aoi was flustered to. Wait, was he falling?
Kaito quickly wrapped his arms around Aoi, trying to keep him steady as he fell against him. He soon realized they were basically in a hug position. Kaito's face lit up like a Christmas tree, and managed to say "Are you okay?" through the thundering of his heartbeat in his ears. He was going to let go, step back, but he couldn't. This position was the most.... intimate... position Kaito had been in with Aoi, and did nothing but make many more strange feelings arise within him.
-
Kaito stepped back as Aoi did, although he didn't go to far. "Ahaha... I-It's quite alright..." He let out a shaky laugh and kept his gaze to the ground. His head snapped back up when he heard what guy at the cash register said. His face becoming unimaginable shades of red had become a natural occurrence recently. "Ah! No no no, he wasn't flirting!" Kaito blurted out rather loudly, trying to clear up the confusion... Which seemed much more like teasing.
He looked down, feet shuffling, eyes watering from the intense heat on his face. I thought coming here would clear up these feelings... It's only making it worse! A sneaking suspicion that Aoi was causing what he was feeling only made everything much more confusing.
