Stopping, the apprentice gazed around till she found a stick that wasnt to thick or thing, long or short. Picking it up in her mouth she padded back to Snowbird.

Dark had overtaken Snowclan as the last of the sun's light deminished from ever cats line of sight. Freezing cold winds ruffled the lynx-points fur as she gazed out of camp, her blue eyes confused and helpless. What was she doing wrong? Nothing she ever did seemed to be enough; and the only thing that seemed to understand her was Meeko, The MCA Raccoon; Her one true friend. But her feelings for him were starting to get jumbled up.. And in the end Rosepaw knew she had fallen in love. How could she be around him? He sent thrills of joy through her each time their pelts brushed... Each time his eyes looked into her; or when he smiled and made a joke.

A groan escaped the apprentice's lips as she sat back on her haunches and gazed up at Silverpelt. "Oh starclan..." She whispered. "What am I to do? Snowbird seems to be forgetting about me.. And something about her has changed. Give me a sign!"

Rosepaw felt herself stiffen, the fur along her shoulders and spine suddenly standing in shock. Why was someone still awake? She could have sworn everyone had gone to bed... "Oh um.." The apprentice murmured. "I just have alot on my mind.."

The she-cat turned to stare at Affy, blinking in slight confusion. She didnt seem to recall ever meeting this she-cat, but the Main coon was pretty enough it seemed wierd that Rosepaw hadn't noticed her. "Seems like youve been out hunting" The Helper meowed, her tail flicking to the two pieces of prey that the warrior had brought back. "Lucky catch especially in leaf-bare"

Rosepaw had walked out of the Medicine den just moments before she decided to bolt out of the Snowclan camp and into the freezing wilderness beyond. Her heart was filled with a fear that she might be losing the one thing that she had ever worked for. Snowbird had promised her.... But... the elder Medicine cat had changed so much, maybe she was going to go back on her word. The lynx-point laid her ears back as she came to a stop near a leaf-less tree. Sorrow dampened her usually bright blue eyes, and lifting up her maw she let out a long grief filled wail.

Starclan.. What are you doing? Wasn't this the path you wished me to take? Isn't this what my destiny has in store? Or would you rather have me jump off this cliff and come join you...

"Rosepaw?"

At the sound of her name, the apprentice pricked her ears forward and swiveled them around trying to pinpoint where exactly it was coming from. "M-meeko?" She whimpered. A warm feeling ran through her body at the sound of his voice.

All thoughts of suicide and what not evaporated in that instant as she got to her paws and walked back the way she came.After a few pawsteps she spotted the raccoon, and happiness flashed in her eyes. Then she remembered what had happened just momens before and suddenly it all crashed back down on her. Rosepaw flattened her ears to her head, and lowered her tail till it was on the ground.

She said nothing. What was there to say? She was heartbroken and a sickening feeling was washing over her....

"Meeko.." She finally muttered after a few beats. "Would i be a good choice for a med. Cat?"

Rosepaw let out a giggle before pressing herself up against the raccoon. "I see" She purred, giving his nose a small lick. "Your the sweetest Meeko... I dont know what i would be without you... I..." The apprentice snapped her mouth shut and quickly looked to the side, her body growing warm underneath her fur. What had she been about to say?... That she liked him? Maybe even loved him?... Giving her head a swift shake she grinned at her partner trying to quickly hide the mess up.

"Yes but... Snowbird who has magically dissapeared over the pass few days May want someone different beside me.. or no apprentice at all. Snowclan already has i believe four or five.. And yea she promised me that i would become her apprentice. But times change and i know she is... Maybe im just not the perfect cat for her.." Rosepaw whispered, her good feeling slipping away into dread.

She hadnt been gone for long.. But meeko had convinced her enough that running away from a problem wasnt the best thing to do. Holding her head high, Rosepaw walked back into the medicine cats den trying to hold some dignity to herself as she brushed softly past Vividkit. Her tail flicked the kits ear softly as she turned to give an encouraging smile to her. "Im sorry Vividkit, Snowbird.. I shouldnt have acted the way i did." She meowed, turning her blue eyed gaze up to her mentor. "Will you forgive me?" She asked to them both.

ooc; two are getting demoted and i am getting promoted and dots wont tell me who else D: she says i know the person.. e.e i will probably feel stupid once i see who it is..

Rosepaw purred and licked his cheek over and over again. "No i wont take your spot, even if you resigned and i was offered the position i wouldnt except. Meeko this is your chance to shine, show others that clan loyalties go past what species you are, or what blood runs through your veins" The apprentice leaned against him, happiness swlling up in her once more.

Rosepaw purred and grinned at Treski. "Nice to meet you" She meowed. Meeko was her apprentice and her began to prickle with heat at the thought of the handsome Raccoon. Something flashed in her eyes before the apprentice turned her head, making sure neither of the med. cats. saw it. Instead she looked at Frozenkit.. Well.. Paw and licked the smaller apprentice's ear.

Rosepaw nodded and purred at both Medicine Cats. "Thank-you.." She meowed, before cuffing Frozenpaw softly on the ear. "Your gonna enjoy the training. Its fun, but once you get everything down.. They drill you over the same things over and over again. Eventually it gets stuck in your head"

Rosepaw purred and leaned her body against Meeko's happiness lighting her eyes even more. "Im glad your here" she whispered to him, hoping no one else heard. "What would i do without my partner in crime, eh?" This time her voice was louder before the apprentice giggled and licked his cheek.

She pressed even harder to him, a purr rumbling in her throat. All she wanted to do was comfort him now, show him that even if he was a raccoon; Meeko meant alot to her. "What about Treski? Snowbird? They respect you"

Rosepaw walked into the den behind Drenchedpaw and scowled. Not this tom again. He treated her like she was nothing more then a stupid kit last time they met so she wasnt particularly fond of him. Brushing past him tense, the lynx-point walked over to meeko. She licked his ear in greeting before settling herself down beside her friend. "What do you want?" She meowed, trying to keep her voice as friendly as possible but not succeding as well as she would have liked.
