    [fancypost bgcolor=; borderwidth=0px; width: 390px;][justify][font=arial]The blind cub walked with caution, ears swiveling around to try to pick up any sounds that could lead him back home. He had wandered off again, which was pretty terrifying. Shuffy continued to walk foward only to get his paws tangled up in a bundle of plants, causing him to trip. He hurried to jump back up to his paws, sniffing the plants curiously. They smelled... weird, and very strong. Little did he know that he had tripped over some marigold, but of course he couldn't tell what they were. He had never encountered herbs like this before.

    [fancypost bgcolor=; borderwidth=0px; width: 390px;][justify][font=arial]Berylliumpup? What an interesting name. The snow leopard nodded towards the canine, straightening up a bit. "Ni-nice to m-meet you Be-Bear," he stuttered, his blind optics drifting to the ground shyly. "I'm Sh-Shuffledcub. Yo-you can call me Sh-Shuffy th-though."

    [fancypost bgcolor=; borderwidth=0px; width: 390px;][justify][font=arial]Whilst the duo talked about Gia's experiences over at the horrible place known as The Exiles, Shuffledcub stood a little ways away, debating to himself of whether he should go over there or not.

    What was there to be afraid of? It was only a returner? Well, the answer to that was that there were lots of things to fear in this situation. He could go over there and make a complete fool of himself, or the returning member could say something mean to him!

    But wait- she didn't seem like the rude type. No, she seemed nice enough. According to the conversation that the two ahead of him were having, The Exiles were the rude ones. Well, at least he now knew what group to watch out for.

    Hearing what Gianina had to go through made the snow leopard cub cringe. How terrible! Now he really did want to go over there to become some source of comfort for the feline. He gathered to his paws and approached the others, letting the sound of their voices guide him to sit near them.

    He then looked up at Gia with blind blue oculars, hoping that she was okay. "Are you su-sure you'll be fi-fine?" He just wanted to make sure. It sounded like she had been through a lot lately.

    [fancypost bgcolor=; borderwidth=0px; width: 390px;][justify][font=arial]Shuffy couldn't see exactly what was going on here, but it sounded bad. Everyone was screaming medic at the top of their lungs and Skyward sounded hurt. Oh no!

    The snow leopard was blind, but just standing here and listening to what was going on he could tell that this was a serious emergency. But why hadn't a medic got here yet?

    Now he was starting to worry.

    The young male swiftly scurried to the coordinator's side, attempting to gently place a paw on her flank in comfort. "It'll be o-okay... I'm su-sure a m-medic will be he-here soon," he whispered softly, unsure what else to do.

    [fancypost bgcolor=; borderwidth=0px; width: 390px;][justify][font=arial]Another re-joiner? Oh dear. This meant that Shuffy had to introduce himself, but the problem with that was he wasn't the most social butterfly in the meadow.

    Swallowing hard, the snow leopard cub practically forced himself over to greet the returner. "My nam-name's S-Shuffledcub," he stated quietly, closing his blind blue optics.

    That's all he had to say, right? Could he just leave now and move on with his life?

    Nope, apparently not because the small child stayed right there, not moving a single muscle. This felt kind of awkward to him, but not for the others. Of course not, they were experts at socializing 101!

    Was that even a thing?

    [fancypost bgcolor=; borderwidth=0px; width: 390px;][justify][font=arial]You guys are cracking me up XD

    When I was like 2, my parents took me fishing and I picked up some kind of beetle and began to brutally pull its legs off one by one. Of course I don't remember this, but my relatives tell the story all the time and call me a bug serial killer.

    [align=center]
    [fancypost bgcolor=; borderwidth=0px; width: 390px;][justify][font=arial]Oh okay, so apparently she was fine. That was a relief. "Tha-that's great t-to hear!" He said with a small purr rumbling in his throat. "Oh- a-and I'm Sh-Shuffledcub. Y-you can ca-call me Shuffy."

    [align=center]
    [fancypost bgcolor=; borderwidth=0px; width: 390px;][justify][font=arial]Shuffy jumped, a bit surprised to hear a voice. He froze, unsure what to think. He had always been told not to talk to strangers, but this stranger seemed kind.

    "Er- ye-yeah, I just tr-tripped over th-these-" He paused, blinking in uncertainty. "Um, wh-what are th-these exactly?" He asked, pointing to the marigold.

    [align=center]
    [fancypost bgcolor=; borderwidth=0px; width: 390px;][justify][font=arial]Shuffledcub supposed that he felt okay, but what if-

    What if he was terribly sick? I mean, he may not be able to tell, would he? Now that just worried the cub. He nervously made his way over, praying that there was nothing wrong with him.

    Maybe this check up would be good for him. If there was something wrong with his health, then the medics would be able to fix it. Right?

    Of course they would! They were magical like that. So here came Shuffy who padded up beside Skywardpaw, raising his small paw. "I'll g-go fi-first," he offered, nodding his spotted head.

    Better get it done and over with, right?

    [align=center]
    [fancypost bgcolor=; borderwidth=0px; width: 390px;][justify][font=arial]Water. The trickling of water was all that could be heard from out here. However, even the loud sounds of water falling from the rocks wasn't enough to drown out his thoughts. There was so much to reflect on, but he needed to think about it somewhere where no one else was. That's why he had come to the waterfall.

    Sure, it was loud, but that was okay. Shuffledcub didn't mind. He skipped a few rocks onto the water as he thought about his past. He was only two months old, so his past wasn't some giant life novel. No- it was short but bittersweet.

    The main thought that drifted into his mind was about his parents. Mom and dad. Acutally, it was more like dad. He never had a chance to meet his mother. Such a shame it was really, that he was separated from her at birth.

    Who forced them apart again? Oh that's right. It was his father who did. To be perfectly honest, Shuffy was still pretty sore about that. Next thing you know he was left to fend for himself. It all happened so fast, and it was all so terrible. But that's life, and you have to make the most of it.

    Now, his parents were the least of his worries. They should be far from his mind. He was now part of a wonderful, strong clan, had shelter and food, and finally felt like he belonged. But still, the thought of his parents constantly bugged him every second of his life.

    Why him?

    Why did he have to be the blind abandoned loser? Why not some other little kid in this massive world? Who knows why he had to go through all this. Maybe some things were meant to happen for a reason.

    Sighing, the snow leopard cub gathered to his paws and began to take a stroll back to camp. He knew that he shouldn't be dwelling about this, and that he could turn his life around and make the best of it. But it wasn't that easy. Maybe his father taking him from his mother and then leaving him behind was what ultimately caused him to be such an anti-social skittish little freak.

    Shuffledcub reached camp, head hung low. He put on a fake smile, hoping for nobody to see the conflicting emotions that he was feeling right now. He didn't want anybody to think less of him.

    He supposed it was time to leave his dreaded past behind and focus on now. And that's exactly what he'd do, starting this very moment.

    [fancypost bgcolor=; borderwidth=0px; width: 390px;][justify][font=arial]Shuffledcub scensed something unfamiliar coming from the border. He approached with caution, straightened up, and took a deep breath before speaking. "Na-name and b-business, pl-please?" He shuffled his spotted paws nervously, hoping that this stranger wouldn't do anything to harm him.

    [align=center]
    [fancypost bgcolor=; borderwidth=0px; width: 390px;][justify][font=arial]Okay, good. She didn't seem to want to hurt him. An alliance request? Oh dear, that was something that Shuffy couldn't handle. "Umm... I'm s-sure someone wi-will be b-by soon," the cub muttered with a nod. Hopefully a high position would arrive shortly. Sitting here with the inability to do anything was awkward.

    [align=center]
    [fancypost bgcolor=; borderwidth=0px; width: 390px;][justify][font=arial]Shuffy listened to what the female was explaining to him about marigold, which for some reason amazed him. A plant could really do all that? Wow. "Th-that's amazing..." he muttered, shaking his head. "I um, do-don't think I'm h-hurt." But he actually was. He had a small cut on his side, but he just didn't notice it.

    [align=center]
    [fancypost bgcolor=; borderwidth=0px; width: 390px;][justify][font=arial]Yes. Magical. That was the word that seemed to describe it. "Nice t-to meet yo-you Birdie. I'm Sh-Shuffledcub and I l-live in Aubadeclan," he answered, hoping that giving away this information wasn't bad or anything.

    [align=center]
    [fancypost bgcolor=; borderwidth=0px; width: 390px;][justify][font=arial]Shuffledcub nodded. He didn't know exactly how far away he was, but he had been walking for hours. Wait- he had a cut? Oh... Oops.

    The snow leopard's ears perked at the next thing that Birdie said. "Ve-very interested," he answered, nodding various times.
