[fancypost borderwidth=0px;text-align:justify;]Cairo came following closely behind Luca. The dark gray tabby's ears perked at the sight of the dog. Normally, the angel wouldn't give too thoughts but his friendly attitude towards everyone seemed to have been being questioned lately. With The Cartel managing to get into SkyClan's camp and mess with SkyClanners, Cairo felt he had to have a neutral look on arrivals on the border. Thus, he waited in silence, tail-tip twitching lazily and waiting to make proper judgement and clear intentions of the new face.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px;text-align:justify;]Afterlife's belly was pressed to the ground, ears perked to the sound of a small mouse and its beating heart. His stomach growled, making the black smoke inwardly sigh in frustration. He had lost count how many days he had traveled and had went without eating. Shaking away his distress, Afterlife crept closer. His mouth began to water and his paws became slightly sloppy as he moved forward. Wiggling his hips, he pounced. And missed. With a yowl of defeat, Afterlife sat back onto his haunches, a low growl vibrating in his throat as he watched his breakfast race away into the cover of a nearby oak tree.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px;text-align:justify;]Just as his annoyed yowl ended, the silence was filled by a blunt voice. Green orbs narrowing in confusion, Afterlife's head titled towards the noise. His ears pinned slightly at the sudden group of animals that he managed to surround him. Didn't they understand personal space? Normally, Afterlife would never had thought in such a way. However, the comments on losing his lunch had made the ebony smoke rather moody.

A heavy frown appeared on his face. Afterlife's eyes turned to Twilightyears. "I'm sorry - I didn't realize when prey crossed your border during a hunt that it was yours now and that meant I was supposed to let it go." He replied with a look of pure annoyance on his face. He couldn't help but think poorly of the group around him already. They remained him of RiverClan, although, they weren't his judgmental half-siblings or dead-beat father.

As Afterlife moved, his ribs were easily visible as he slowly rose to his paws, heaving with the effort. The smoke's eyes wondered again, suddenly v nervous and overwhelmed. "I'm Afterlife, my business.." He paused. What was his business? He had been in search of WindClan but being rather new to the Clan lands, he had lost his way. "I was actually looking for a Clan. Perhaps you know them?"

His annoyed tone had suddenly creased, turning back to Twilightyears. "WindClan, is the name I believe. Have you heard of it?"

[fancypost borderwidth=0px;text-align:justify;]By the time Cairo found himself at the border of the Foundation once again, the dark-gray tabby was gasping for breath. The trip had not been easy on the tom-cat and he found himself having to pause in his movements. The SkyClanner's paws ached. His muscles no doubt inflamed. His throat was absolutely parched, as well. But, it was okay for him.

Cairo had been the ambassador for the Foundation back when it was The Deserted Kingdom and back when SkyClan had the program. He didn't know when the ambassador program had disbanded - or even if was disbanded. Still, he felt a sense of protection and need to keep on friendly terms with the Clan. Shaking out his fur, Cairo took a seat.

There was an audible groan that left his lips. He'd wait for someone to come so he could personally wish the Foundation's leader his congratulations.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px;text-align:justify;]"Sounds fun!" Cairo purred as the dark-gray tabby shuffled over. Normally, SkyClan would see the members of SunClan visiting not their leader himself. It was nice and a neat change. He had only seen Fadingstar visit their former allies, as the Clan no longer had allies and enemies exactly, once or twice before. Now that he thought about it, it was only when the ally and enemy stance had changed did she really go pay a visit to another Clan. Bummer.

Lifting a paw to his forehead, the tabby bushed the hair out of his brilliant, blue eyes. "Do we have to dress for this ball?" Cairo went on to question.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px;text-align:justify;]Cairo followed with heavy paws after Southwind. The gray tabby's ears perked at the sight of Batpup. He couldn't deny he was curious to know where the child's parents were but he held his tongue.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px;text-align:justify;]Cairo had saw the form of Luca returning to the camp. Eager to greet him, the dark-gray tabby had made his way over. He was just able to move out of the way of Southwind in his departure. Cairo tossed his blue-eyed gaze to the canine but decided to not say anything and instead moved swiftly to Luca's side. A wide grin spread against his muzzle and he gently aimed to pat the vulpine's head. "What happened with you?" He purred with amusement. The guy seemed too lazy and too unconcerned with his injury. What exactly had happened?

[fancypost borderwidth=0px;text-align:justify;]The sound of paws toiling through the grassy plains and making their way back into the abandoned village drew Afterlife's attention. The small patrol made up of small apprentices and their mentors entered. One apprentice had a small mouse in his jaws. Afterlife's ears perked as the patrol shuffled past him. The said apprentice stopped, giving him a curious look before, with a friendly greeting through the flick of his tail, he padded away.

The black smoke let out a hum. His green orbs followed the apprentice for a moment before he picked himself up from resting onto his belly. He had been previously exploring the village grounds WindClan had called home. Later in the day, he had decided to rest near the wooden stage.

Suddenly deciding he wanted to get to know the WindClanners around him, Afterlife drew himself into a seated position and called out, "Um, gather around for a meet and greet."

[fancypost borderwidth=0px;text-align:justify;]Afterlife's gaze traveled to Milktea. Unlike her, he didn't quite remember her. No. He had been too busy with the lost of his lunch and the pure annoyance he had felt towards a few of the WindClanners he had met when joining. The green-eyed ebony smoke offered the she-cat a kind smile, trying to douse the uncomfortable feeling of unfamiliarity. "Nice to meet you." Afterlife meowed quietly, "I'm Afterlife."

The smoke drew his long tail around his body. "I'm fine. You?" His shoulders were slightly hunched as he turned his ears towards the sound of the arrival of more WindClan members. His gaze first found Fearless. He gave the oddly-painted albino of a look for question before his eyes traveled to the spider on his shoulder. How strange, he thought quietly to himself.

He had never seen such a thing in his life. Even as a loner, which nearly everything was normal. Afterlife flicked his tail in a greeting to Fearless before turning his gaze, next, to Daypaw. The adviser seemed nervous and it made Afterlife, in next, rub his paw awkwardly against his shoulder. "Nice to meet ya." He meowed quickly.

Then, the fimilar voice of Sugaredpoison rang out. Afterlife's ears perked to the sound of the Arcanium family's head. A smile crossed his face, managing to stay longer than normal as he had seemed comfortable in the presence of someone he knew and who knew him — even it was just by name and just because they were family. "Hello Suga" He responded evenly, "How are you?"

[fancypost borderwidth=0px;text-align:justify;]Cairo was only one cat. And he was sure the rest of the SkyClanners who would bother to come greet their visit was right on his tail. "Don't be so rude." The marbled tabby responded kindly, tail-tip twitching in a state of relaxation despite the words that had left his mouth expressing something less than annoyance but close nonetheless. Cairo's ears perked at the sight of lioness.

It seemed he had only noticed the amount of blood dripping from her muzzle. Despite being black, the red stains were clear. It was only recently Luca had came to camp with an injury and a story of how he had been attacked, and then chased away the intruder. He wanted to connect the two, because, knowing the former leader of SkyClan somewhat, he didn't believe he was telling the entire truth.

However, after a movement of deliberating, Cairo came to the conclusion the joiner and Luca were two separate things and he went on to inquire about the state of herself. "What's with the blood on your face?" He tried to make it sound as curious as possible instead of rude. She could have interrupted it any way she seemed fit. "Are you hurt?"

[fancypost borderwidth=0px;text-align:justify;]"Can I help you?" Came Afterlife's voice. The ebony smoke's ears were relaxed as he stood before Babybreath. The tom-cat's tail-tip was lazily tapping the ground around him, flowers swaying at the small steer of wind that ruffled the feline's fur. "What's your name?"

[fancypost borderwidth=0px;text-align:justify;]Afterlife was more or less hesitant to approach the canine. The ebony smoke had crouched down in the shadows for a while, eyeing the bandanna-wearing male for a long while, muscles bunched just waiting for him to do something that would drive the newer WindClan warrior to attack. But, it never came. He seemed to wait, patiently. Lirim's arrival made Afterlife's confidence to approach the canine grow and he rose to his paws. His ears were slightly pinned. It was clear it was a tad bit on edge. For years as a loner, he knew dogs and wolves brought nothing, absolutely nothing, good.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px;text-align:justify;]Cairo was sitting on the top of a pile of fallen trees just on the outskirt of the village. Below him, sitting on the ground was a young apprentice. A pretty, golden she-cat who was watching the dark tabby watch the sky as the blackness began to melt into a dim array of orange and yellow. The fog that layered the mountainside made it hard for Cairo and the apprentice to really see the beautiful colors.

The pair had been up for a while, playing board games and hunting. The pile was still fresh for anyone who had bothered to wake up at such early hours of the morning. The cold sent a chill down to Cairo's bones. It was the true signs of autumn and a warning that winter was right around the corner. For him, he was excited for the new weather and the holidays that followed.

Cairo quickly shook out his fur. The cold still chilling him but not as much. "You should go to bed now." The SkyClanner's voice rang out, silvery in tone. The apprentice turned her attention from the skies to Cairo. The marbled tabby didn't seem to acknowledge the look of disapproval on her face. However, a smile came to her muzzle and with a small response to her friend, she rose to her paws and left.

Cairo was left to watch the dawn, fur ruffling as he waited for something to do when his Clanmates awoke.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px;text-align:justify;]Seafoam? That was the name Enkonix had mentioned a while back. Was that someone Enkonix knew? What did this Phantom want with Seafoam? How did Enkonix know him? Did Phantom and Enkonix know each other? So many burning questions rose in his throat and he tried hard to bite his tongue as he found a spot beside Southwind.

The councilor casted the newly-promoted envoy a look. He too didn't trust Phantom now that this Seafoam character was being mentioned again. However, he didn't know anything about that, right? Cairo made a mental note to ask Southwind about his actions. It wasn't the first time he had began to feel the canine wasn't exactly trusting and he didn't understand why.

"Well, there is some explaining that needs to be done." The SkyClanner meowed with a bit of hesitant in his tone. Should he bring up his suspicions now? He would because he wanted answers. "A while back someone mentioned someone named Seafoam." The dark-gray tabby meowed, tail-tip twitching lazily. "But I wouldn't say I know him. So my question to you is: who is this character and what is your business with him?"

Cairo's deep-blue eyes narrowed slightly, suspicion prickling in his fur.
