Iggy raised an eyebrow. "Huh. Seems a bit rough if you ask me," he said in response to her regarding her life, though he couldn't quite understand what she saw in living alone in the forest like that. She had a point; it had to have easily gotten isolated, and with that likely came a bit of loneliness. He never had to live alone though, so he really didn't know what it was like to live in complete solitude like that. With the shit he had to deal with though, sometimes he wished he could just be alone and have some peace and quiet (part of what made getting out of Bowser Castle every now and then so pleasant). "I guess I see why you're bummed, but if you are so bummed... why aren't you at least willing to try and find something for yourself? Sheltering yourself like that I'm sure is no way to live..."

He snickered gently. It didn't look like he meant any harm at all now, and instead he was more absorbed in friendly chit chat. He was capable of holding civil conversations like this if he put his mind to it. "Besides, if you don't know yourself, how are you going to find yourself by staying in solitude?" He paused, sighing. "That's not unusual though. Honestly, it kinda took me a while to figure out who I was too. For a long time, I looked and acted almost exactly like my twin brother, Lemmy. Now though, we look a lot different and though we still like causing trouble with each other, we have different interests. Speaking of which... since you asked, heh, I guess I ought to explain myself and my siblings a bit."

He cleared his throat and continued to smile weakly. "I know I said I'm the brains of my family, but really, my siblings act a lot more composed than I do. I can't fucking help the way I act half the time, but I'm the only of my siblings that's like this. Lemmy is a bit like me, but... more in a childish sense. Probably because we were fraternal twins, hmm? My other siblings are a bit more normal. They aren't as hyperactive, and it's a bit boring if you ask me, but oh well." He found himself giggling a bit to himself as he thought a bit more about his living situation. "No worries though. We all look different; a lot different. I'm the tallest, Lemmy is the smallest, Morton and Roy are more built and stocky... and of course, all of us have different hairstyles and colors... besides Roy and Wendy. They don't have any hair. That aside, regarding my smarts, they'd all be lost without me. Hell, Bowser needs me too. Who do you think designed and builds his Mechakoopa minions? Who do you think repairs his castle machinery? What about who built most of my siblings massive airships? I know it's crazy, but heh, you're looking at the guy who made all of that shit possible. I can't help but brag a bit!" Iggy's volume rose rapidly towards the end of his sentence and he quickly broke into a fit of laughter after he finished speaking.

"Practically identical at one time; until I got out of that stupid punk phase I was in and I had a sudden growth spurt I guess," Iggy replied after he was able to calm himself down. At one time, he was the same short height as his twin brother and they both had very similar multicolored mohawks, but many years ago, Iggy had a growth spurt and surpassed his brother in height very suddenly. From there, his hair color and style was soon changed as well. He figured his change was for the better too; he was a bit more of a unique individual now. That didn't matter too much though. "Anyway, it's a pain in the ass keeping up with all of the shit I have to do, but I manage. It's not so bad when I have my own team of minions to order around and help me out with these huge projects. I've gotten a bit used to working alone a lot of the time though. Or er--as alone as I can get."

"Say..," he began, bringing a hand to his chin as he tilted his head in thought for a brief moment. "..That's your dream, is it? Being free and finding a purpose for yourself?" He found himself sighing as he lowered his hand back to his side and stepped back just enough to be able to lean against the thick trunk of one of Dimble Wood's trees. His cyan-ringed pupils remained focused on Elsie through the lenses of his glasses, almost as if he were actually observing her. At the same time, he looked like he was actually very deep in thought, and this was definitely the quietest he'd been ever since he'd run into her just a bit earlier. "...Listen, I know I just met you and all, and we had pretty damn rough first impressions of each other, but... maybe I could actually help you out with that somehow..?"

Iggy wasn't too sure why, but he felt like he could somewhat understand Elsie's feelings. She felt abandoned; she'd made it practically obvious to him, even if she didn't come right out and say it word for word. He'd be lying if he said he didn't feel the same way sometimes, given the way that Junior was the only one of his siblings that Bowser actually still treated like a son. Maybe Iggy's ability to relate to Elsie on some sort of level would give him a bit of an advantage in the possibility of helping her achieve her dream. "Like... I need something new to do anyways; something to get me away from Bowser Castle a bit more. I can't get away from that place enough and it only makes my frequent headaches even worse than they already are," he continued, averting his gaze off to the side a bit awkwardly and cringing just slightly at the thought of those unbearable migraines of his. A small half-grin abruptly appeared on his face and he chuckled under his breath, then quietly mumbling, "Besides, I'd hate leaving such a cute girl like yourself in the dark like that... heheh, that'd just be rude on my part, wouldn't it be?" He could flirt a bit, couldn't he? Did that even count as flirting? He didn't want to call it that; maybe more so just goofing off. She wouldn't take him seriously, most people didn't when he made odd comments like that anyways.

Iggy shook his head, dismissing Elsie's doubts. "Y'know, so what if it's a lot to hope for, ambition is a good thing! You wouldn't get anywhere in life if you didn't have any ambition," he stated, taking a mental note of the obvious look of determination he could see in her green eyes. He then found himself smiling warmly, a bit glad he was finally able to meet and get to know another Koopa of his kind; not only that, but one that he wasn't related to by blood. It was kind of refreshing to see a new face around here that wasn't a generic minion of Bowser or another lame Toad. "Even if you haven't acted on it yet, I'd say just having ambition at all is a good start!"

In a way, the nearsighted Koopaling was a bit surprised at the fact that Elsie accepted his offer of help rather than dismissing it harshly. She had a point; she wasn't sure she could trust him. Quite frankly, Iggy could see that she had every reason to feel that way too, what with the way he had attacked her and threatened to drag her all the way back home with him to Bowser Castle. Hell, Iggy couldn't even trust himself half the time. Either way, It'd likely be a while before she could fully trust him, but this was one step in the right direction. He snickered lightly, his smile once again morphing into a wider grin.

"Heh, whatever you say, doll," he replied, briefly sticking his tongue out at her again in a more playful (rather than teasing) manner. He avoided doing so for more than a few seconds, due to his awful tendency to drool (he couldn't close his mouth all the way, so he couldn't really help it). With a little giggle, he added, "Glad I can help! Though..," he tilted his head, narrowing his eyes just slightly as he watched her make a weak attempt to cover up a smile on her face. He found himself smirked, as he knew exactly why she was doing it. "...You don't have to hide your smile... You don't have to be embarrassed about flattery; or, was that really simply 'flattery'? Gee, I'm not sure myself~!" His smirk became lopsided again. Okay, yeah, he really did think she was cute, and when she acted bashful like that? That only made him realize it even more. He wouldn't be surprised if she didn't take his words seriously, even though they were very serious. Most people never knew when Iggy was being sincere or not, his personality was that hard to read.

Heya there! I'm simply just looking for a way to expand my artistic ability and make money at the same time (I do not have a full time job).

I love drawing video game characters (especially Nintendo characters) and OCs, and I'm also particularly fond of dragons (I'm a member on a website known as Flight Rising)! I'm not asking for any more than $5 per sketch, though that price may go up slightly if you're asking me to draw a very detailed character. Paypal is the only thing I can accept payment through currently.

Examples of my art can be seen on my deviantART as well as Instagram! Please let me know if you're interested at all through a reply to this thread or a PM!

    Thank you!

Iggy could see the shade of crimson that seemed to suddenly appear on Elsie's face, which only caused his grin to widen even more. He could tell that her smile at least partially lingered as she lowered her arm away from her face, though instead of pointing it out, he went ahead and left it alone. Though, within moments, her confusion became apparent along with the words that came out of her mouth. Perhaps Elsie was a bit more naive than he had originally realized... but that was alright. Oddly enough, hearing that word--'flattery'--said back to him in response was enough to actually cause his grin to weaken and his face to heat up just slightly. He ceased his leaning on the tree to his side and stood up straight, averting his gaze away from her just briefly.

"Heh, flattery..," Iggy mused quietly to himself, then looking back in Elsie's direction and remaining silent for a short moment. He finally shook his head and smiled weakly. "...It's nothing, forget I said anything." He figured he could just leave it at that, for now at least. He found he was already trying to change the subject. "So, as long as you have me around, none of Bowser's minions who're wandering around here should bother you. Or... they better not, because I'm sure they wouldn't be too happy about me having to deal with them. I know you want to take responsibility for yourself, so there's that; I won't get too involved, alright~?" The corner's of his mouth pulled up into a bit more of a solid smirk and he chuckled.

"Since you're oh-so-shockingly trusting me, I'm also trusting you not to eventually attempt to go behind my back and try to defy me. If I ever betray your trust--which I will not--feel free to knock me over and beat my ass until you get the anger out of your system. I won't stop you," he continued, a childish giggle resulting from his last few words. "But..," as soon as he stopped laughing though, he quickly found himself grinning a bit sinisterly; like he had been when he'd first met Elsie. He slowly took a few steps closer to the other Koopa. "..I'm not saying that you would... but if you ever betray my trust and try something sly and sneaky, mark my words when I say I will do something about it." Iggy chuckled darkly before his expression relaxed to a much friendlier one once again. He really needed to calm his mood swings down a bit. "If those things are clear, I think we should get along just fine, Elsie~!"

    Nettle the Cool Idiot :00 Dude omfg your first/favorite game is Super Mario Sunshine too??? Holy shit, that's incredible, I'm really glad to know someone else who's like me when it comes to that ;;

Btw I'm actually hella down to chat with you through PMs about shit like that if you want ;;"

    Nintendo handhelds are actually great???

Yo, who on here actually owns a Wii U and Mario Kart 8 (or Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and a Switch)? If anyone would be willing to add me as a friend on the Wii U sometime soon, I'd love to set up our own private Mario Kart tournaments! :00 I could even make a separate conversation for this if I had to tbh.

"Glad we're on the same page," Iggy replied, chuckling and winking at Elsie a bit absentmindedly. Again, he took a few steps backwards and away from her, bringing the slightly more comfortable small distance between them back. At the shortened version of his name that she used to address him though, he couldn't help but let a stupid and surprisingly bashful grin plaster itself to his face. No one ever gave him nicknames like that, so he couldn't help but feel a bit warm inside because of it. But, since she had slightly embarrassed him, he could totally taunt her right now, and he totally would, even if it was just a stupid smart remark he wanted to make. He just really wanted to get back at her for it. "Ah, so you're already giving me nicknames? Hah! How damn sweet of you, dear~," he crooned to her, giggling gently.

Elsie seemed to be very insistent on her will to fight and protect herself when needed, Iggy noticed. That was another quality that was good to have, but at the same time, he couldn't help but feel a bit skeptical of her words. How prepared was she really in the face of any sudden danger? He began to realize that he might have been able to figure out the answer to that question without even having to ask or assess her if their stand-off hadn't ended so abruptly. He soon suddenly crossed his arms and gave her a look that seemed to be a bit of a mix between both doubt and uncertainty. He was seriously beginning to wonder if he needed to put her strength to the test, so that he could be sure she could really take on these things she was so sure she could easily beat.

"Hmm... I like your enthusiasm, I really do. But..," Iggy began, trying to find the correct way to approach the subject and word it without either offending or upsetting Elsie in the process. "I wouldn't get so smug so quickly. Everyone has their weaknesses, and I'd hate for you to throw yourself into a fight you couldn't finish..." His volume dropped to what was almost just a mere mumble. "Even if I can scare off a lot of minions, I'm not saying that some aren't a bit more brave and defiant than others are. So, I know I said I wouldn't get too involved, but... what I'm saying is that maybe I need to be the judge of that. Sort of like... testing your strength, y'know what I mean?" He shrugged slightly, deciding he'd leave that matter up to Elsie to decide. "I won't make you do it, but if you want, I'm willing to be your opponent. If you can do some damage to me, then I'm sure you've got nothing to worry about, heh."

    Hello!

I'm trying to throw together a little group of friends from this site that want to add me as a friend on their Wii U and play Mario Kart 8 as a group with others from the FF community! I could set up a room for us to race in online, and we could just play and have fun from there!

I've already got a few people who want to do this, but I need more people. I'm hoping to get 12 people, or at least close to 12 people, so that we could have a full racing group where no one is left out to spectate (boring)!

I'm looking to get this started sometime today but a specific time still needs to be worked out. Just reply to this thread if you're interested at all so we can discuss as a group!

    Thanks!

OOC: Hiya there! [Long Post Ahead, Warning]

The title says it all in an nutshell: this is an advanced, PAFP rp that'll focus on building a platonic and eventually a romantic relationship between one of the Koopalings--Bowser's son, Iggy Koopa, specifically--my Koopa OC, Veela! I have a pretty intricate beginning plot in mind, which I'll definitely elaborate on in a moment, though I may need to discuss with you a bit more outside of the rp to get my idea across better. For future additives reference though, If you need anything to go by, I'm all over all things from unbearable angst, to intense fluff!

I went ahead and put details in spoilers so that they won't clutter this post too much!

I don't mind how you portray Iggy, as long as you at least make him seem giddy, energetic, sadistic/demented, and very mentally unstable (a bit insane, if you will. he tends to laugh maniacally quite a bit). Frequent mood swings as well; but keep in mind that he is perfectly capable of being calm and civil at times as well!

As for post requirements, I'm asking for this to be a fairly advanced rp. Therefore, I want posts that match mine in both length and grammatical correctness. You should always expect at least three to five well developed paragraphs from me, sometimes even more than that! Also, if you reply to the thread, please remain active. I'd hate to get a good reply and be let down when you decide you're just not interested anymore!

With that all said, continue reading for my actual starter post; feel free to just jump in from where it leaves off! Thank you!

IC: Blubble Lake wasn't a place that was visited very often by Mushroom Kingdom commoners, such as Toads. This was probably mainly because of it's close proximity to Bowser Path, but of course, that didn't seem to stop everyone from visiting there; or even living there, perhaps. It was the perfect place for those who wanted to live in peaceful solitude and isolation, despite how few of Bowser's minions would tend to drop by and scout the area every now and then.

This didn't seem to scare off one particular figure; which belonged to a rather short female Koopa by the name of Veela, whom not very many people knew very well if at all. That was likely her own fault; she rarely ever left the Blubble Lake and Dimble Wood areas, having always preferred the safety of isolation over everything else. Besides... she'd already made a huge mistake in running away from her parents when she was little, in turn getting herself severely lost and having to fend for herself ever since. Her heart ached in her chest every time she realized that she never saw and never will see her family ever again, and it was all her own damn fault for wandering off.

Veela sighed heavily as she pushed her way out of the cave she called home, moving the rock that blocked the entrance out of the way so she could get out. As soon as she had made it out into the open, she pushed said oversized rock back into its position before to block the entryway once more. Huffing, the Koopa girl took a few steps away from her cave, then finally turning around and walking out into the mostly open space of Blubble Lake. It was luckily a clear and very nice day; that probably meant that the Yoshis were out, and she could visit them. With that in mind, she began making her way towards the direction of where she knew the Yoshis like to stay.

She reached a small clearing beside the large lake, which was surrounded by a few tall boulders and minimal trees, only to quickly grow confused. No one was here, it seemed, which was extremely odd. Veela cocked her head to the side, raising an eyebrow as she looked around and observed her unusually empty surroundings. If they weren't here, they must have decided not to show up today, so the young Koopa found herself frowning, but beginning to walk away in hopes of maybe coming across the Yoshi family a bit later. However... she quickly found herself nearly tripping over something, which brought her to an abrupt and confused halt.

Looking down, her hot pink eyes focused on a plain white, slightly dirty shy guy mask which was lying on the ground just in front of her clawed toes. Curious, Veela leaned down and picked up said mask, examining it closely. Just as she was about to decide to keep it though, a maskless shy guy--which was making a desperate attempt to hide its 'face' with an oversized leaf--ran towards her out of seemingly nowhere and bumped directly into her, startling her into dropping the mask and nearly falling on her rear in the process. The small shy guy snatched the mash up off the ground and dropped its leaf, proceeding to hastily place the mask back over its 'face'. It then ran away in the opposite direction, only further bewildering Veela. That was... until she suddenly heard loud commotion coming from around the corner which the shy guy came and went.

Frightened, Veela looked around before hurriedly running and flinging herself behind a cluster of tall, wide boulders towards a small group of trees. She dared to peek between two of the boulders and found herself gulping as a huge group of Bowser's minions entered the clearing ahead, lead by what looked like other Koopas; Koopas that resembled the same type she was. Oh no...

    This couldn't be good.

OOC: !! No, you did just fine, thank you!!

    - - - - -

IC: If anything, Veela didn't want to be spotted. She had no idea what the hell the group of Koopas were here for, and if she were being honest with herself, she was fairly certain that she didn't want to know at all. So, when the other Koopas had some into view, Veela had to take a moment to brainstorm how on Earth she could avoid being seen by them. Her cave wasn't too far away, was it? If she could manage to get back there without being caught, she would probably be alright as long as she stayed there until the coast was clear. With this in mind, she made an attempt to step around the boulders she was hiding behind, only for her plan to end up backfiring on her greatly.

As she was quietly making her way around the boulders, she ended up tripping. Hell, the claws on her feet were way too long, weren't they? Because of this, her stumble caused her to fall out of hiding and topple onto the grass right out in the open, just ahead of the group of unfamiliar Koopas. Now terrified because of her own stupidity, Veela sat up, her eyes wide as she watched the group stop walking and all of their gazes focus directly on her. She took note of each of them; all male except for one female who was standing towards the back of the group. Alarmed, Veela quickly got to her feet, speechless as she tried to think of what she should do to get herself out of this awful situation.

Without many options, she found herself stepping back a few feet further away from the strangers, remaining completely silent and nervously smiling before she suddenly retracted her head and all four of her limbs into her cyan and pink shell. As soon as she was able to, she spun away, hastily heading towards where her cave was located near the entrance to Dimble Wood. She couldn't go directly to her cave, as she couldn't let the others know where she lived, but if she were able to confuse them, perhaps she might be able to get back into her home unseen and therefore safe. Hopefully, she would be alright and this would all blow over.

OOC: No worries there but, it's alright.

    - - - - -

IC: Unfortunately, it seemed that plan of her's ended up backfiring as well. She had stopped spinning, her head and limbs popping back out of her shell before she realized she was too late, and she was brutally tackled by the tallest Koopa with the weird, plant-like green hair. Gasping, she found herself struggling as she was grabbed by her legs and suddenly being dragged off, in the opposite direction of where her cave was located.

Startled and frightened, Veela's eyes widened as she thrashed around helplessly in a weak effort to get free. It proved to be useless. The stranger was running so fast that her impact with the ground was making it way too hard to do anything about it. Helplessly, she clawed at the ground, her claws leaving long scratches in the dirt before being knocked loose as her body came in contact with a boulder, knocking the air out of her lungs for a moment.

Desperate at this point, she turned her head awkwardly to look in her captor's direction before shouting, "St-Stop it, please! What the hell do you want from me?!" Her words were broken up as her head hit the trunk of a tree rather painfully, causing her vision to go blurry for a moment. As soon as she regained her senses, she shouted again, "J-Just leave me alone, y-you insufferable p-prick..!"

OOC: I totally might draw Elsie and Iggy sometime within the next few days... it's been a long time since I've had this much muse to draw something, heh. Before I do though, are there any specifics regarding Elsie's appearance that I need to be 100% sure I don't leave out? :0

    - - - - -

IC: As he spoke, Iggy could tell that Elsie was practically burning up. The look in her eyes said it all, though he didn't make it apparent that he had noticed it. Instead, when she finally mustered up a relatively calm and civil response to his suggestion, he raised an eyebrow in amusement. She was agreeing to the idea, and she thought it sounded like a good time; that was something that he knew she was right about. If there was anything that Iggy loved besides building various mechanisms, it was causing trouble by one on one battling with others. This would be a bit refreshing, considering that Elsie was a new face rather than one of his siblings, or the usual Mario and Luigi. So, with a smug half-smirk, he lightly chortled and gave her a curt nod.

"Agreed! How exciting! This should be entertaining, no?" Iggy closed his eyes tightly, finding himself laughing yet again. As soon as he was able to mostly stop though, he opened his eyes again and suddenly reached into his shell, once again pulling out his silver wand with the yellow gem on the end of it. He had said that he was going to test Elsie's strength in a fight; and with that, of course it meant that he planned to fight back as well. "Heh! Sorry about that one magic hit from earlier," he stated, tapping the end of his wand idly against the palm of his other hand and then gesturing to the place where he had injured he arm before. "...But so that doesn't happen again, try harder to avoid my magic this time, alright? You'll be completely fine, I promise~..."

"HAH! Come at me, show me what you've really got!" Backing up a few more steps, Iggy cackled obnoxiously and turned himself around, then taunting Elsie by quickly slapping his own ass twice, a grin widening on his face that could be seen as he looked back at her from over his shoulder. He turned himself back to face her and with a wild look in his wide, cyan-colored eyes, he aimed his wand in her direction just like earlier and snickered as he simultaneously fired off a spell of three bright green and yellow magic projectiles, all three of said projectiles traveling towards her at the same speed as one another. Eager to see where this 'fight' went, Iggy hopped around a few times energetically in his place as he waited for Elsie to hopefully dodge and retaliate somehow.

    OOC: !!! Alrighty then!

I actually did a small doodle of what I imagine she looks like from the description you gave me? I'll PM it to you really quick instead though, bc that way I can just upload it through the site and also avoid cluttering up this thread too much uvu"

    - - - - -

IC: Iggy expected that he might end up successfully hitting Elsie with magic again, which was quickly proven. He watched her as she clutched at her shoulder where the projectile had hit her and oddly enough, began snickering and became a slight bit more hungry for violence. It seemed that Iggy's sadism struck at times even when he had inflicted pain on someone he was on fairly good terms with. That likely wasn't a very good thing, even though he couldn't quite help it too much.

When she ran forward and retracted into her shell, Iggy made the dumb mistake of trying not to take his eyes off of her. Because of this, when she began rapidly spinning around him, he quickly grew extremely dizzy. Disoriented, by the time Elsie had exited her shell, he had ceased his laughter and begun stumbling clumsily in his place for a few moments. That time was short-lived as he planted his feet flat on the ground and shook his head until he came back to his senses. Fists clenched, the male Koopa glared at his opponent with an vaguely irritated look on his face before the grin returned to his face and he cackled loudly.

Iggy had never been one who used brute force often; which explained why in fights, he was almost always using his magic wand or his pet Chain Chomp as his weapon. While he was big in a height sense, he clearly lacked a lot of muscle, given his thin and ridiculously lanky frame. That didn't at all mean that he wasn't capable of inflicting serious injury through brute force though. So, once again eyeing Elsie with a crazed look in his eyes, Iggy laughed, putting his wand away and suddenly throwing his arms out at his sides, fists remaining tightly balled up as he began rapidly spinning on the tips of his clawed toes directly towards her, all without retracting himself into his shell. The attack was a bit on the wild side and seemed like it were almost akin to the violent nature of a tornado. If one thing were true, it was that for what Iggy lacked in his strength, he easily made up for with his speed and agility.

OOC: Thank you so much, and no problem! c:

    - - - - -

IC: Sure enough, Iggy felt his fists come into contact with Elsie's chest a number of times before he stopped himself from spinning anymore and instead let himself come to a full halt. When he finally did manage to stop completely, he realized that he was dizzy yet again and therefore was vulnerable to attacks for another few moments. Even though it seemed that the other Koopa wasn't quite thinking about her attacks in a tactical manner by now, she very well might have been on to him with her next move. It wasn't like she had much time to think about her attacks anyways, when someone like Iggy was her opponent.

Because of his dizziness, Iggy was unable to expect or react to Elsie's attack in time to avoid or block it. So, when she lunged forward and threw a punch at him, he gasped in immediate shock as her fist hit him directly on his tan-plated chest and therefore caused him to quickly lose his balance. The force of the punch also sent him sliding a few good feet backwards on his shell, the spikes of said shell dragging deep scratch-like marks into the grassy dirt underneath him. Fortunately though, despite the way his spikes had been driven into the ground, the loose dirt around them made it to where he could at least fairly easily roll himself over and clumsily stumble to his feet.

When he looked back at Elsie, there was a very slight look of surprise on the male Koopa's face. He didn't quite expect such a punch from Elsie; but nonetheless, he was actually rather impressed. He honestly wouldn't be too surprised if he were bruising beneath his shell, which was a good thing in this case. However, he still didn't seem to be through with the Koopa girl. A lopsided smirk affixed itself to Iggy's face as he eyed her while his hands moved to straighten up his glasses, which had been knocked into a crooked position. Before he knew it, he was laughing like crazy again and pulling his head and limbs into his shell, then speeding directly towards Elsie in an attempt to take her off guard.
