One of the first words out of the stranger's mouth was 'friend'.
Humphrey didn't like that. It didn't feel right. The overly-enthusiastic types always stirred a fear in him, made him more cautious and jumpy than he already was. Nobody was unabashedly friendly without having some ulterior motive. Or, rather, they shouldn't be. Who knew what was out there? He could be a serial killer. This guy could be calling a serial killer friend, and that could open up a whole world of dirty business.
Humphrey wasn't a serial killer, though. The point was he very well might be. What was that phrase again? Stranger danger, or something?

Yeah. Stranger danger. Humphrey forced himself not to narrow his eyes in a display of distrust, and instead forced a chipper, if somewhat shaky, grin onto his face. His big ears shot up and stood at attention, listening faintly for the sound of pawsteps. This pair looked as if they had good intentions- at least, that's what the vocal one seemed to be projecting- but this could very well be an ambush. They could be luring him into a mugging, or something. Not that he had anything on him, really. But nobody wanted to get beat up in broad daylight.
He knew he was being paranoid, and it sent a small wave of shame through him. But his intense, innate fear of others prevailed and drowned out all sense of logic. Like always.

"Humphrey." The puny canine spoke in a low, mellow voice, somewhat deeper than what one would expect from a creature his size. "Just looking to stay a while. I can provide services while 'm here, of course," he added, one gargantuan ear twitching nervously.

if its a litter or mass adoption i can keep them in their birth clan for a bit, but in the end they WILL move, permanently or otherwise
or if anyone has an hpr theyre willing to let one of my ex-hp/hprs have a kid with without prior rping, thats fine too

i just dont want this particular character to be npc x npc for..... reasons

ayy if it's alright i can go with Finnishwars, maybe? the ex-hp/hpr i was talking about is Plaguedoctor Grimm. if u want relations or something i can always give em to you!! Plague's in a panther body, last time i checked

and i didnt expect so many people to offer up their characters?? thanks u guys 0:

i was actually just looking at sunclan!! for another character that i'm in the process of making, and not the one this thread was made for, but he sound like he'd fit in nonetheless! :-) you might see me roleplaying there as soon as tomorrow, tbh!

Okay now that I'm off mobile I can reply. I'm not completely out myself, but I've watched a lot of my friends do so, so I'll do the best I can to help!

The first thing you should really take into consideration is the fact that she might not understand. From the title's wording, it sounds like you may be worried that she is, indeed, transphobic; if she is, you need to be prepared to let it go. No that it's okay to be transphobic, of course, but sometimes, people just will not change and are set in their ways, and that isn't your fault. If things don't turn out the way you want them to, it's probably best not to retract your statements about coming out, or alter your behavior (unless you feel unsafe, of course). You are you, and nothing can change how you feel about your gender identity. Be strong, and be you, even if it's hard. Living with someone who doesn't like who you are is challenging, but it can become easier with time if you are firm and unwavering. Don't change who you are and mask your identity just to comfort another person's ignorance.

People dislike what they do not understand, so, like Foxygen said, it is integral to educate her. You are genderfluid, so explaining your identity may be a little bit harder for you than for a binary trans person. But that's okay! I'm nonbinary, so when I explain my gender to people without prior concept of it, I like to bring up the fact that gender is a spectrum, and that there are lots of different identities, and that none of them are invalid. I like to explain it as a slider, kind of? Visual representation helps when explaining identities that aren't strictly male or female, I've found. Being nonbinary, I would place my gender in the middle between male and female; you might portray it as something that slides around, or occasionally leans more to one side than the other. Whatever works for you.
Also, articles help a lot. If she ever insists that it is a phase or something invalid, it's good to have lots and lots of things to back up your statements. Like, if she says that it is a phase, that you're young so you're going to be "confused" or something, bring up articles written by older trans people! If she confuses it with 'drag racing' (like a lot of the people I've talked to have), bring up an article on the fundamentals of gender identity, to show that it's not a fashion statement or an "act", but an integral part of you.

I'm kind of tired, and really bad at phrasing things, but I hope this helps. If you ever need support from another trans kid, or if things don't go well, feel free to hit me up, and I'll help however I can! Best of luck to you!! :3c

Can't really help with the muse part, but I can help a bit with the descriptive issue. Number one rule, avoid "purple prose". What a lot of people tend to do is feel like their words just simply aren't advanced enough, and look for synonyms to just plop down in place of the original word. Don't be excessive; don't exchange the word "honeyed" for "mellifluous" when it is unneeded or out of place. If your writing sounds choppy and doesn't read well out loud, it may be over accessorized.
When you are descriptive, do not be overly so; mention details that are important. Sort of a Chekhov's Gun situation. Say that you're describing a character that is snarky and suave, and focusing on portraying this above all else. You can mention the glint in their eyes, the curl of their lips- this adds to their expression, which is the focus of the scene. Don't add unnecessary details, like the color of the sky behind them, or the way the gravel crunches beneath their paws. Detail is good, but don't go overboard- what I'm saying here is leave room for the imagination.
And, when writing a particularly important scene, choose what to focus on- emotional narratives, or the environment. If someone is getting chased, it may be good to focus more on the dirt sliding out from beneath their paws, the snapping of twigs behind them, the loud breaths that pierce the air. That is putting focus on the environment. If there is an emotional argument scene, focus on internal narrative, on how the characters speak and move, how they look at each other.

the style is really good! i like the way it looks, it's very different from a lot of styles that people tend to draw animals in. very fluid and not stiff in anatomy at all; you seem to have a good grip on your style!! like the others said, the face is to be worked on a bit, in placement more than anything; i wouldn't change the mouth or eye styles, because it compliments your style well.

i just said the word style like ten times shit

there's no real way to become well-known. it's sort of a right place, right time, right friends kind of deal, unfortunately. what can help is activity, a unique personality, and an overarching plot.
and i'd love to see more "deep" characters around, ones with traits under the surface that don't come out often. if that makes sense. also less badass, "evil" characters that know they're bad and more characters that don't recognize what they're doing is wrong. like a benevolently sexist dude, or something.

if someone were to start a clan right now, an official one, would it have the potential to be successful?
like, would it be consistently active? do you personally think it could stick around for a while? im saying this because i believe that starting clans takes a right place, right time sort of situation 0-:

like, when everyone was making official clans because they had the tokens, a bunch of those clans went inactive after a while because the community was saturated and the joiner pool was distributed too thinly. but would now be a good time to make an official clan?

just lookin for honest opinions, because im contemplating purchasing a token or a board or something, if thats still possible, but i dont want to start somethin thatll die hella quick ovo
