The vulpix staggered a bit before trying again. This time it landed. The arbok shrieked as it was engulfed in a fiery inferno. Of course he'd probably be fine, Amber wasn't as strong as him even with sunny day giving her extra power. She felt the amulet around her neck heat up considerably, funny how she hadn't noticed that before.

Amber looked confused for a second before remebering who she is. "Oh, Shell," she barked as she remembered. The other water type, dang. She tried to put on a mask of indifference, which was difficult to do. "Well dang, I don't know what to do," she mumbled.

Amber nodded, "yeah, that sounds good. Not that I couldn't go out after them. When will we actually be able to go after them?" Her eyes were beginning to loose their glossed over appearance and she was standing up with more control. "I can go gather up some berries, maybe the hot-dog can come along," she suggested, motioning toward Storm.

"Hehe, what are you doing?" he asked curiously. His bell jingled again as he tilted his head to one side, "it can't be comfortable up there." From his perspective, the fence looked rough and hard to sit on. Hmm, maybe the cat was just epic or something. Maybe even mad. He wasn't really sure.

Amber tilted her head to one side in thought. It sounded familiar, but in her dazed state she couldn't seem to remember. "Hmm, I... think so," she said unsurely, "but I can't remember where." She shook her head and looked at Storm with a puzzled look on her face, "that's rather specific, tell me about then. I may start to remember if you do."

Amber glared at him. "It may come as a shock to you, but the needs of this group are important too. You're one of the only healthy ones here. Since the tragedy here seems to have been caused by your appearance, you have to help us. Well, if you have any remaining scrap of dignity, that is," she snapped angrily. Her eyes have now completely lost their dazed state and have been replaced with a fiery glow of resentment. She spared a glance at the floatzel, then turned her attention back to the insufferable hotdog.

Amber sighed in agitation. "Look, I'm not saying you should feel all guilty and stuff. Just know that you were somewhat responsible for this and actually try to help instead of only leaving destruction in your wake," she barked. She tried to be calm, but her anger came back at the last part. 'He just, needed to learn to help the team,' she thought in agitation. He was a traveler though, Shell's probably the only family she has. Which raises the question... "Why would they take her anyway? What's so special about some water-type. Why no just take Silver or something?" she asked.

Amber rolled her eyes. "Prophecies smophecies, the only thing that relates to Storm in that last part is the Storm. Even if it was real, which it's not, it probably wouldn't be about a swimming sausage. That's not even the thing I think is stupid. Why in the ever flying fluff would they take Shell. If those imbeciles actually believe it, then taking She'll would be the worst possible thing to do. It'd just make said sausage even more determined to stop them," she rambled on frustration. Frankly, she was done with everyone here. All this prophecy mumbo jumbo was stupid in her head. It was just something a bunch of old geezers said to get others to listen to them. She was beginning to think she was the only one with her head screwed on straight here, and she was the one who's head was nearly chopped off!

A slightly scruffy vulpix padded up to the gate. Her brown eyes were lit with a small orange glow. The amulet around her neck also seemed to glow, but it was probably the light. Besides, it was just some stupid thing as far as the vulpix was concerned. Her name was Amber and she had spent way too much time traveling. Her ears were held back in agitation and her brown eyes were narrowed into slits. If it wasn't for her relatively small size, which she cursed at, she'd look pretty freaking intimidating. The other Pokemon were pretty small, she noticed with satisfaction. She guessed they were getting desperate, dang. She thought she'd have a challenge. Then she noticed the three sentries. 'I'll take on the turtle,' she decided, knowing fully well that he was a squirtle.

"Hello there, imbeciles," she greeted. She noticed with dissatisfaction that mud was staining her coat, Arceus they're not going to take her very seriously. What with her small size, even smaller than the average vulpix, relatively weak species, and lack of a second type. "I'm here to join, and yes. Before you idiots so much as say anything, I am filthy as fluff, angry, dirty, and riled up. So yes, I'll be battling the squirtle," she snapped.

Amber raised a metaphorical eyebrow. "Last time I checked luxrays couldn't tell prophecies," she grumbled. Aargh, what in the name of all things on fire was up with their brains. And what was up with her's for listening to them. "You know what, that's besides the point," she barked, "what I want to know is EXACTLY what in the ever grubbing bugs you are talking about! I've been out of the loop for way too long!"

Amber blinked and jumped back. Wow, someone was pushy. "Ok, ok, calm down bud. I just don't like not knowing everything, grumpy-butt," she barked with obvious mockery. She tilted her head to one side and tried to figure out why the heck he was so important.

Amber returned his silver gaze with her fiery one. "And if you actually explained it instead of being all obtuse then you wouldn't have flipped your fluffy mane," she responded with just as much mockery as he had sarcasm. Her tails flicked back and forth and a smug smile was plastered on her face.

Amber jumped back with an indignant yelp. Her eyes widened and filled with a fiery energy. "Alright you pathetic turtle," she growled, "it is on!" She dove into the ground with obviously practiced skill. 'If they're not going to play fair, then neither will I!' she decided as she leapt out of the ground onto the unsuspecting squirtle. Or maybe he was suspecting it already, she wasn't sure. It would definitely make it all the more amusing if it was. She used foul play in a snap, a rather fitting move in her opinion.

((I feel like I should list her moveset, she'll replace these with others later on, probably.
    Moveset:
    Dig
    Foul play
    Flame burst
    Sunny day))

Amber was unconvinced, but was wary of the electricity jolting out of his body. "Yeesh, okay, okay. You're right, no need to fry my fur off," she barked in an attempt at soothing him. Key word attempt. She wasn't too happy with him, and had loads of insults circling through her head, but she wanted to live. 'I'll get back to it later,' she decided.

Amber turned her fiery gaze over to him. It was only barely lit up now, but it still looked somewhat intimidating. Well, it would be if she were even up to his shoulder. Arceus, she hated being small. "I actually wasn't trying to fight, he just lost it because I couldn't understand what in the flying fluff he was talking about. My head was all wonky and he just lost his patience," she explained a bit more snappish than intended, "and what about taking care of our own? I still don't see the significance of Shell, sister of some would-be prophecy holder or not. I'm not saying we shouldn't go after her, but we should put the important things first." She was trying to sound civil for a change, she wasn't an idiot. Snappish comments couldn't make others do what you want them to, or what is best.
