Oh: to add onto Katya's proposal, StormClan is allies with ShadowClan! :0 And HawkClan is enemies with the Blackheart Rogues!

    x
HawkClan is actually close allies with the Blackhearts, but Egretstar is having doubts on their alliance and is questioning cutting the alliance down to RadicalClan and HawkClan. Still, they aren't on great terms considering the nature of the alliance :O

Starts on Friday 8th July, ends on Wednesday 21st September

[justify]Welcome to HawkClan's Summer Tournament for 2016! Throughout this event, different competitions will be held in order for both teams to try and earn points. Team members are also capable of earning points through completing certain tasks, such as holding a training session. The points earned for these tasks will depend based on difficulty and how much it will benefit the clan. Points can also be deducted for actions that will effect the clan in a negative way (alongside other punishments), such as raiding an ally without being given permission to do so.

The team captains for both teams are the tournament's referees, so they will be handing out prizes along with making sure the competition is fair. Please keep in mind that these referees can't be bias in deducting or awarding points to either side. At the end of the tournament, this badge will be given to all members of the winning team.

Q; I want to join the competition late, how can I enter my character?
A; The team choosing ceremony will always be open, so go and post with your character there! Once you post, your character (along with any character wanting to participate) will be entered in a random generator. From this generator, applicants will be sorted into teams.

Q; Can my character be a referee?
A; The referees for the competition will be the two team captains. These team captains are expected to not be bias when judging, along with being expected to make events for there team to make sure everyone is welcome! If a team doesn't currently have a team captain, please send me PM to show your interest! Then, I will choose an active member who has displayed interest in helping out. Remember that you can hold an event without being a referee, but a referee is required to make sure the event is fair along with handing out prizes.

I don't mind you replying at all.

I don't think I'd be able to call her, unfortunately. I could try meeting up with her, but the last time she visited she didn't have enough time to visit and she doesn't visit very often.

I may have been a sneaky snake to get the game in the UK I'm an impatient bad egg, okay?!

There are like seven pokestops in the woods by my house, along with a gym and another one just outside of the woods. The only issues I have are that I have no mobile data until the 15th and both gyms are already captured (by two different teams). I thought I was going to be the only person in my immediate area to get the game.

I've basically been taking advantage of any open wifi stops (free shop wifi, that kind of thing) to try and get some good captures.

So far I have Charmander (my starter), a Squirtle (caught in my old school when I had to go for my sister's parents evening), Drowsee (same again), Ryhorn (same again), Zubat, Kakuna (Matata), Eevee and Pidgeotto.

I think I'll join the red team (whichever that is)...

I just button mashed and it worked out for me -- I'm now named 'Vyctnii', which honestly is so much better than it could have been. A lot of the nicknames are gone due to how many people are playing right now.

I just ran after an Abra that was two paws away from me in the hopes that I'd get close enough to it in my wifi range. I found a Weedle before being disconnected from my wifi a second later, not being able to even catch that instead of the Abra.

I like both names, but I'm personally leaning toward Hiraethache.

For clan suggestions, perhaps you could try HawkClan? They're on the faster side for a backboard at the moment, but it's still quite a comfortable pace :^)

Its running fine on my 5, aside from the servers going down a lot.

The only issue I've ran into a lot is the game being stuck on loading screens, or being stuck loading once the game has come up.

Battery saver works through turning it on and flipping the phone upside down, for anyone that was just turning it on expecting something to happen (like I was). I've been using it so that I could leave the app on all day and nothing like that has happened to me yet, but I'll keep testing it before going out for any proper hunts (going to have a long time for that... I don't get more mobile data until the 15th).

Someone else in team Valour reclaimed one of the two gyms close to my house, which is pretty cool. It's a mon in the 300s, as well. It seems as though most of the people here are around the same level as me, so this should be interesting.

I'm just glad all of the local pokestops and gyms are really good public areas, so it's likely the safest place for any kids to be playing it (though I don't think there are going to be that many kids with mobile data and a super snazzy phone)...

Everyone is complaining about Doduo but I haven't even seen one on my nearby! I really want a Dodrio as well!

Both of my closest gyms are now claimed by mystic, which have several pretty high CP mons in now. Don't think I'm going to get them back for a while, unless I involve my friends. I know one that has the game and hasn't chosen a team already, another who picked mystic (who is my friends boyfriend, I'm trying to get her to get the game and pick Valour).

I did, I had also been watching a few of his streams (I still am) before everything happened. In one of his streams leading up to everything, he also got an amber alert on his phone (I still don't actually know what it means).

I feel terrible for him, but hopefully he'll be able to make a career out of streaming now.

Instinct and Mystic are fighting over a gym and it basically keeps resulting in one mon being placed down for it to be defeated. The other got claimed by Valour and looks pretty solid, but as soon as I get mobile data I'm going to try and add something else to it.

Swift is Vaporeon, Natewantstobattle evolved one in his last video with swift. I have one with swift, but I've only ran into one so far. I get mobile data back tomorrow and have to go out to get a jab, so I should hopefully be able to find some other mons!

Dittoing Bloom and April though -- stay safe! Maybe try and avoid routes that they are known to take?

I have a pretty unpopular opinion in comparison with what I have heard from everyone else, but I honestly prefer the rule change. For the sake of how often characters rely on powers during battles, above all else. I remember back when powers weren't nearly as common as they were on the site, which created a time where things like fights were much more fair. I completely understand why staff felt the need to finally put something in place, however I agree that perhaps the rule should be changed to an extent.

I do think the rule should only apply to offensive powers though, rather than causing an effect on characters using powers for the sake of appearance and such. Perhaps there should be a cap on how many 'non-offensive' powers you can use per post and how many 'offensive' powers you can use? The 'non-offensive' powers having a higher cap, but still keeping some kind of order. That way, staff are still able to try and make things more fair for everyone.

As for the 'NPCs are unable to have powers' rule, I don't agree with it as much. Shadow explained my reasoning behind this pretty well, so I'm not going to repeat what has already been said. Again, I get where staff could be coming from. However, I feel as though it disrupts far too many plots for this to be worth the rule change.
