"Of course I will." Echostar purred, rubbing his cheek on hers. "No matter what, even if they aren't mine, they're yours and we're mates so that makes them mine too." He added pressing closer to Hawkbreeze.

"What's going on?" Echostar asked. "Where is Sunpaw?" He looked frantically around the group that just came back, using his paw to bring Moonpaw closer to him.

"What?" Echostar asked, pulling Moonpaw in closer. "Go get Hawkbreeze! Tell her of the news! Shadowclan is asking for trouble." Echostar hissed out, nuzzling Moonpaw's head.

Echostar looked up seeing Hawkbreeze running over, his eyes expressing sadness, and anger.

"I-i don't know. I wasn't with them... Crystaleyes, Goosefeather where is Sunpaw?" Echostar asked frantically.

Echostar looked at the she-cat tears streaming down her eyes. "Foxstep... he uh Hawkbreeze, I think we should tell her, away from the others." He said, angered by the thought of the traitor stealing his kits.

"Moonpaw... we uh... How do we start a talk like this?" Echostar questioned looking to Hawkbreeze.

Echostar watched all of Moonpaw's expressions, and when Hawkbreeze finished he added "We were going to have to tell you at some point." Although it was barely audible.

"Moonpaw wait!" Echostar called, as he ran after her. Gaining up on her quickly with his long legs. "Moonpaw" He said quickly, as he grabbed her by her scruff and picked her up sliding to a stop before they came to the edge of the cliff.

"Hey, it's okay." He said as he licked the tears from her cheeks as he set her down. "You have to think Moonpaw. Hawkbreeze didn't want it to happen with him. Foxstep is an evil cat who follows the Dark Forest. Instead of everyone thinking that Hawkbreeze was a dirty cat, we said you guys were mine. If we hadn't of said you were mine everyone would be looking down on you today. No body would want to be your clan mates. Thinking is the best thing we can do. If we don't think we would be doing a lot of unreasonable things. Do you understand?" Echostar asked, his tail wrapped around her body.

"This is the path you have chosen. Help is always here young Moonpaw." Echostar said as he walked back, a layer of mist settling on the mountain. "Let us hope you picked the right path." He said lastly before running back to the tribe.

"Tell Ashcloud what?" Echostar asked, walking up behind Sunblaze. The she-cat looked started, but quickly regained her composure. "Nothing, just that we wanted to go on a hunting patrol, it'll be my last till after the kits." Sunblaze explained, lying easily through her teeth.
