the basics
name: faline deer.
gender: female.
age: seventeen.
ethnicity: italian/mexican.
disney film(s): bambi.the looks
hair color: dark brown.
hair style: long and wavy.
eye color: brown.
skin: tan.
height: five feet and one inch.
weight: one hundred and ten pounds.
body type: slender and doe-like.
face-claim: vanessa hudgens.the attitude
personality: faline is a very sweet girl, upon meeting her. she always has a smile on her face and isn't afraid to laugh or giggle at something she finds funny. she's innocent, in many ways, but also sensible. sometimes it seems like she does not have a brain in her head, but that is proved wrong when it actually is boiled down. faline can be very resourceful, given her past history with living in the forest and running from predators. she relies on herd-instinct when it comes to saving her own skin and even as a human her wild instincts are instilled deep within her.
since faline has spent most of her life on the defensive and protecting herself from predators, she's often very jumpy around things she's never seen before. however, when left waiting for something faline is often impatient. she doesn't like waiting for stuff for too long, though the only way her frustration can be described as is cute. she loves bambi, just as she loves other things as well, but her family is always put first. faline has a deep instinctual motherly sense to protect the younger creatures of the world and teach them how to survive, whether they are of her species or not.
likes: bambi, her family, being alive.
dislikes: man, hunting dogs, ronno.the extra
point of portal: faline is snatched out of the bambi movie when she is stuck atop a cliff with hunting dogs trying to attack her and climb up the hill. bambi is just coming to get her when andy grabs her through the portal.
lover: bambi.
other: hey baby you must be a light-switch because every time i see you, you turn me on.

i decided on faline. ;3

Ashton “Starhawk” Wynter
Her carefree attitude caught him. Neither of his adopted parents were carefree—they were always go, go, go until you drop with uptight attitudes and straight backs and expecting him to be his best. Neither of them even considered to shrug, because it was bad for their posture and gave a sluggish appearance. Her carefree attitude made him smile and look her over more and more frequently and offer her a genuine, sheepish grin if she caught him.
“You walk? You must not live very far from here, then,” he commented, intense starry blue eyes shimmering.

guh you guys i'm so excited! do i need to be accepted before i start working on my first post(s) on the role-play thread?
i don't know if any of you know the answer to that question so if not then don't worry about it. :3
i'm just really excited to get started! -

Ashton “Starhawk” Wynter
He nodded at her statement, accepting it as a fairly worthy answer. He sighed, then, picking through his memories to try to come up with something that he could give her. He decided to stick with the story he’d been telling for years. “I was put in foster care from when I was a baby and a family who lives here recently adopted me.” He grinned then, cheeky and smooth. “There’s not much else about me, other than I actually use a car to drive here because walking is too tiring for my fat body.” He gestured toward his stomach which was, in fact, anything but fat. Abs and muscles and enough lean, sinewy muscle that made him look fit but not to the point that he was a body-builder.

can you please reserve me the horse?

oops i just noticed someone else already claimed her.

here's the second bio! clicky
and i'm done! wooohooooo -

Ashton “Starhawk” Wynter
Ashton shrugged, a lopsided grin on his full lips. "It can be a joke if you wish it to be," he said, following her as she turned down a hallway. "You can ask me anything about being adopted; I don't mind. I've gotten used it."

Ashton nodded, accepting her answer. When she stopped in front of the classroom, he turned to her and nodded shortly, a twinkling in his eye as if he knew where his classroom was the whole time. "Thank you very much, Delphi." His lips moved up into a knowing smile. "Oh, I'm sure you'll see me around." And with that, he slipped into the classroom.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 390px; letter-spacing: -2px;]bear david campbell[/fancypost]
[fancypost borderwidth=0px; overflow: auto; width: 390px; height: 410px;]name: bear david campbell.
nickname(s): none.
rank: lieutenant.
age: twenty years old.
sex: masculine.
gender: male.
sexuality: heterosexual.
personality: bear grew up to be a pretty obvious gentleman. with an apparent southern charm to his personality and attitude of life, he's polite and courteous. he doesn't judges anyone too harshly or pressures anyone into saying something they don't feel like sharing unless it is needed for the immediate, dangerous task at hand. when it comes to the state of his country, bear feels very strongly about the way it is being run. he feels that the lives of all the past soldiers who had fought in the wars for their country have been wasted. it sickens him and makes him deeply saddened.
bear is always sure to say his 'please' and 'thank you' as frequently as possible. he doesn't stray far from saying 'ma'am' and 'sir' either and even if someone is harsh toward him he tries to be as polite as possible toward them. but just as all people do, he has a breaking point. due to his history (things that he won't discuss) bear is increasingly protective over the ones he cares about. he will even go so far as to locking them away somewhere if it means they will be safe. if someone him cares about does end up getting hurt, bear is one who will take action - seeking vengeance first and asking questions later.
when it comes to love, bear is one who falls in love easily and is fallen in love with easily. he has a smooth charm about him which, when accompanied by his friendliness and southern polite accents, is easy to feel affectionate for. bear is a very trustworthy person and he prefers people to trust him in return. when they do not, he often feels sad or hurt because they do not trust him. however, anyone from outside the raiders bear does not feel faithful to at all. he will even go so far as threatening them if they try to gain his trust. in time, if they prove their worth more than once, he might consider bonding more closely with them.
bear is one who does the things that any girl might wish for. he might plan an event with just the two of them, checking to make sure nothing is planned beforehand. in this way, bear proves to be someone who wishes to be respected and loved as well as having the strength and courage to prove he will go to extreme measures to make sure this is accomplished. bear has proven to be a diligent, well-trained leader in the future though his young age might suggest to the untrained eye otherwise. he is stubborn in his own decisions, charming in a way that could bring in new recruits easily, and wise - for the most part - in his decision-making.
like all people do, however, bear needs his own alone-time. while this doesn't happen too frequently (he isn't one to run away from his chores or tasks) when he does find free time bear will spend it with the horses. over the years bear has found a great degree of respect for the mighty wild animals and has taken to watching them to see their behaviors and how they react to different things. because of this bear is often the one who will train the wild horses some of the raiders might have caught and make them to be rideable and bombproof. riding his own horse, as well, is something bear uses to get his mind off of things and just relax away from the thoughts of leadership and duties and the way the country has been run.
written appearance: bear is rather handsome, all things considered. he has that roguish appearance, with a body that looks on the smaller, less muscular side from the outside but is really filled with compact muscle. Once his shirt comes off, one can clearly see the definition of muscle on his body. Even still, he has a strong but not totally obvious jawline as well as a very tan skin complexion that shows his roots lie outside.
with chestnut brown hair cut not close to his head but doesn't give him a shaggy look and bright blue eyes, bear's face isn't too bad to look at either. occasionally, when he hasn't had the time to shave, he will adopt a more rugged look with bristles of hair across his lower face. it still doesn't give him a terribly unattractive look and often only brings out the full outline of his lips more-so than normal. standing at five feet and eleven feet, bear almost reaches six-foot but not quite. even so, he has a lightweight appearance and he'd seem awfully more heavy than if he didn't have all that compact muscle on his body.
modifications?: none.

It’s hard to fall asleep (and stay asleep) in a place where someone is constantly haunted with the threat of the government hanging over their heads. It’s even harder to fall asleep when you have a past that plagues your dreams when you do end up sleeping. It isn’t a comfortable feeling, but somehow the lieutenant gets by.He often wakes early, when the sun hasn’t risen yet but the faint outlines of light can be seen against the ridge of the mountains, and dresses using the light of a candle. Once the sun has set, it’s dangerous trying to get to your room in the dark. There are many twists and turns within the mountain, leading to both discovered and undiscovered caverns. Bear doesn’t care for finding those unexplored caves unless he is on a mission to do so. Still, he’d dressed with the light of a candle into a pair of worn, dirty jeans and a dark blue tank top that had obviously seen better days. Due to the fact the sun hadn’t risen yet and the desert was still shrouded in darkness and the chill of the night, he threw a leather jacket across his shoulders before slipping on socks and his sand-dusted boots.
The ride with his paint mare went smoothly at the beginning and she seemed eager to be riding with her owner again. Bear and his paint, named Lakota, hadn’t been able to ride together in the past day or so due to Bear’s duties. However, when he hadn’t been able to sleep it hadn’t taken him long to walk down to where the horses were and feed and groom his own before slipping on her bridle and gracefully swinging atop her bare back. As they rode, Bear marveled at the feeling of her muscles shifting under his seat. His mind flashed to the first time he’d gotten onto a horse without a saddle to keep him in place. It took many years before the horseman was able to fully walk, jog, lope, and gallop successfully without falling off (as it would take anyone else despite if they had a natural ability to ride).
Bear has been on horses since he was able to crawl. It’s no wonder that he’s the raiders’ horse trainer, but he knows he isn’t necessarily their caretaker. That is Ryker’s chore she’s seemed to take on all by herself and Bear wonders about it frequently (whether she is doing it simply because she knows someone needs to do it or because she really wants to). He knows she has a horse of her own – a black stallion – but that doesn’t keep him from wondering why she’s taking care of the others including his own hardy red and white mare.
He is returning to the mountain when he hears the horn bellowing out a call for them to awaken and gather. Urging Lakota on, horse and rider lope easily over the desert slopes before reaching the place where the horses are kept, a closed off pasture where the sand isn’t as hard to walk through and the horses are enclosed using some crudely-crafted fencing from large, strong-enough sticks and ropes of twine. Thankfully Bear has mastered the art of training the wild horses they bring in to respect the fencing and so far only a few have broken through the barrier.
Sliding off of his red and white mare’s back, Bear unbridles her and leads her toward the trough so she can get a drink. Their bond is strong and Lakota walks without a halter or a lead, simply following behind her owner and keeping her muzzle against his shoulder. After drinking her fill, Bear opens the pasture so the pain can enter and then heads toward the mountain, glancing over at Ryker’s stallion with a grin at the paint and feathers found on his body.
Reaching the group gathered, Bear catches the tail end of the commander’s words before he heads inside. Since it seems many of the raiders wished to participate, the lieutenant figures he would stay back to make sure their base camp stays protected. “Alright folks, who’s wanting to go? At least one somebody’s gonna have to stay back with me.” His charming southern accent lifts into the air, carrying over to the voices who have gathered. “Y’all’ll be able to go next time.”

The past years have been one long blur, like a streak of smudge wiped across the windowpane as he looks out into the world. He can remember the day they came for him (in suits that looked like they’d seen better days and with guns obviously abused from being used too much and cleaned too little), stomping into his family’s war-tattered home. They had already experienced grief – his father had gone into the war only four months earlier and already the fateful letter announcing his death had arrived in their mailbox three months after his shipment. The country and the war tears apart lives and families and lovers and there’s nothing anyone can do about it.He tries not to think about such things as he crouches down, no longer wincing at the sounds of gunshots and screams of the wounded. His eyes skip past the blank gazes of the dead but he grips his gun tighter in his dirty hands, perhaps the only sign that he cared that he is walking across a battlefield scattered with lost lives. The bang of particularly close bullet hitting near his hiding place causes him to take action, turning around from behind the barrier of three trees grown close enough together to provide adequate protection. He fires in the general direction of the bullets that had hit near him previously. The war for the day has gone past the point of sophisticated firing and has turned into an all-0ut battle for survival. For many of them, it isn’t just about fighting for their country but it’s about surviving and making it out alive.
When he turns around again, there’s the firing of a gun and the sudden burn that sprouts on the right side of his chest. He grunts but doesn’t scream like the men around him. His father had always taught him to accept any sort of pain and try as hard as possible not to yell or cry because that was a show of weakness. So he doesn’t (choosing to uphold his father’s legacy rather than to keep his pride) despite how much he wishes to. “I’m down,” he instead says to himself, dropping into an army crawl and heading back toward the place that might be considered safe. It’s four miles away from the majority of the fighting and he will have to trek across the bodies of the dead. The process of towing them all back to an infirmary is a lengthy process and Danger suspects his father was dead perhaps two weeks before they actually located him.
It’s as he’s crawling that he gets hit again in the cross-fire with only fifty feet or so before he’s out of the real danger. This time it’s in the back of his left shoulder. He does give a small yell, this time, surprised to be hit and gritting his teeth against the intense burning on his shoulder and chest. His blue eyes burn from the agony but he continues crawling anyway until he can stand and begin tramping across the already-trampled battlefield. He avoids stepping on the bodies as best he can, but it’s difficult to find actual ground anymore. And the ground he does find is coated in bright red blood (the same stuff gushing from his body). He’s pretty bashed up already (a cut above his left eye, a small slash still faintly dripping blood in the corner of his mouth, various bruises all over, and some bruised and cut knuckles from where he defended his side of the army’s backsides from a sneaking enemy) but that doesn’t stop him from feeling the intense pain from the bullet wounds.
Eventually he makes it back to the base camp, but by that time he’s almost crying from the pain along his upper body. Still, he knows there will be a long line to the hospital filled with other soldiers with injuries as well (some ranging from terribly more severe than his to almost nothing) and so he slumps into a battered chair, sucking in a sharp breath when his left shoulder comes in contact with the backing of the chair.[/fancypost][fancypost bgcolor=transparent; border:0px solid #000; font-family:georgia;font-size:16px;color:#000;letter-spacing:0.6px; text-shadow:gray 1px 1px; text-transform:lowercase; line-height:100%;]press my nose up, to the glass around your heart

until tragedy struck (as it normally does). this tragedy was in the form of vengeful grandchild of walt disney's; a man who didn't want anything to do with his grandfather's creations. he felt angry that his grandfather had to die and leave the disney productions to manifest in their popularity and own creations. so one night he took it upon himself to find the original productions of his grandfather's beloved creations (and even those walt disney didn't create himself) and destroy them. it wasn't too difficult to find the first movie of each production - being in the family had perks - and with each smash of the movie and each crash of the film, something new was born.
not knowing it at the time, walt disney's grandchild had unleashed the very souls of the characters his grandfather had created. they were suddenly swept away from their cartoonish worlds and placed in a very real one - earth. however, their memories were snatched from them in the process of converting into a realistic appearance. their personalities remained, but anything past that was a mystery.
by some magical fate, all the fairytale characters were placed in a town that, at first had no longer existed. the town of chimerical used to be a place of flat, dry land where nothing grew and no one went. but suddenly roads formed, houses were built, quaint shops opened for business, large forests appeared all in the blink of an eye. and the fairytale characters landed in those locations, waking up to find a place they thought they knew.
and that is how things began.[/fancypost]
