He knew they were like a pet and such to students and other older members. He wasn't even expecting to get one. He just kinda got one by chance. It didn't help that she was so big and had to stay in the water. Only short visits would work.
He had been basking in the warm sun on the beach, laying in the soft sand when he heard a shrill whistle, followed by a small bit of water being sprayed onto his muzzle. The started squib got up, narrowing his pale eyes. [b]"Meteor? Hurricane? Seismic?" he asked, initially assuming it had been his siblings. As he laid back down, another stream of water hit him. This time it was his back. He snarled slightly, getting up to his feet. "Guys! This isn't funny!" he snapped, trudging to the other side of the beach. Something splashed in the water beside him, the whistling noise being heard again.
Past turned his head to watch as a sleek grey figure shot out of the water and did a backflip into the water. What was it? He crept closer to the bank, crinkling his nose as water seeped in between his toes. The dolphin showed herself again, making a laughing noise. "Real funny," he shot back. Yeah, he was having a conversation with a marine mammal. She moved closer, suddenly grabbing his foreleg and dragging him into the deep blue. He silently panicked as he realized that the sand from beneath his feet was gone and he was probably going to die. Pastkit lashed around in the water, until he suddenly felt something smooth bump his paws. He gripped onto the slippery surface of her back, trying his hardest not to use his claws to hang on.
As they bobbed slowly in the water, he glanced down at his new friend. "What's your name?" he asked quietly, leaning his chin on her, not really caring about how wet he was anymore. She didn't make any of those silly noises. "Well. Your new name is Charlotte," he told her as he stroked her side lightly. Now, whoever found them were going to be surprised... Really surprised.
