He didn't know Clockwork very well, she had just been some family member he didn't get to know. Still... something hurt. It was a painful sensation in his chest, and it made his breathing labored. Matty was sitting on the fence of his yard, his tail tip flicking. The small male gazed around carefully, looking for any kind of movement. Unlike some other pets, he wasn't 'soft'. This was his job, defending the territory. His owner praised him when he kept stray cats and other animals away, so that's what he was doing. He could hear other pets conversing somewhere nearby, but he didn't pay any attention to them. No, now his gaze was trained on strange movements. It appeared to be... a kind of fox? Running wildly past his neighborhood. Huh. That was weird. Matty would be fine with the strange fox as long as she didn't try to get into his yard.
