Okay, this kinda sucked.
Addy squinted as she tried to make out anything in front of her. No luck. This fog was as thick as pea soup. Her massive wings churned the white frothy air, leaving winding swirls that were almost immediately swallowed by the unnatural foggy air. Not only was the fog too thick to see through, but it was fricken' cold. Like, hard to breathe cold. Addy exhaled sharply (consequently bombarding her face with even more steam from her breath) and searched for a place to land. She wasn't going to be able to fly anywhere in this crap. Maybe she could find a nice cave to sleep in. Grassy plains had caves, right? The giant bat had half a mind to consult the hastily scrawled map clutched in one of her feet, but thought better of it. Last time she did that while flying she crashed into the side of a barn. Addy shook her head to clear it of the barn animals' howls of laughter. Then again, it was possible that she had flown off course. I mean, she hadn't seen her next landmark yet, so surely she must be going in the wrong dir-
Addy instinctively swerved to the left as a massive silhouette of a tree appeared right in front of her. The bark scraped against the back of one of her wings, leaving very minor abrasions on the delicate membrane. The hell?! There shouldn't be trees this high up! Addy swerved again as another tree forced it's way through the fog. Oh no oh no oh no oh no! The massive bat flew into full on panic mode as more obstacles appeared. She was going way too fast to land without wrenching or twisting her only free paw, and she couldn't risk dropping her map, useless as it may be. Straining with the effort, Addy pumped her wings on the weak updrafts and forced herself to go higher. I she was above the treeline, maybe she could get her bearings and finally land. Big mistake. As soon as Addy breached the unseen canopy, a massive gale of wind stuck her at full force. Addy recognized this as a city-wind; wind that was usually caused by skyscrapers and tall buildings obstructing the natural airflow. But there were no updrafts from any heated concrete to help her here. So what on earth could be big enough to cause this? Well, Addy didn't get to debate it much as the wind forced her outspread wings back to a painful angle and threw her back in the direction she had come. Oh no oh no oh no oh no! Addy's mind completely blanked in that moment. All she could do was have a complete and udder panic attack.
Luckily this panic attack was short lived. Unluckily this panic attack was stopped by the sudden appearance of a tree branch. Now, Addy was a Megabat. A Golden Crowned Flying Fox, to be exact. Meaning that not only was she a frickin' huge bat, but she was one of the biggest frickin' huge bats. So when she crashed into that branch, not only did she crash into it, but the force of her momentum completely snapped the large branch off the tree. Both fell strait to the ground. Luckily the forest floor was surprisingly soft. Maybe she had fallen in some sort of bush? Well, her miraculously surviving the fall wasn't exactly the first thing that came to her mind as that fallen branch landed right across her wing. Addy felt the sharp crack in her right wing rather than heard it, and her mind immediately began reeling incomprehensibly as pain shot through her body like a bolt of electricity. She felt like she need to scream, run, hide, and vomit all at the same time.
Addy gritted her teeth as she lay there on the ground, forcing her thoughts to clear. Okay. It's okay. Did she scream when she hit the ground? Addy evened her breathing. In. Out. In. Out. Did she scream? The bat forced herself to ponder this. ...Yeah, probably. Great. Don't panic. It's not like wolves live in the forest- Okay, thinking made it worse. Gotta get out... Addy tried to shirt her right wing out from under the log, but was only met with another crackling bolt of pain. Addy unleashed a large bout of swears, but she did so it loud and so rapidly that it was almost incomprehensible.

The large bat sat back and pursed her nonexistent lips. You could practically see the wheels turning in her head. "Uh..." WELL TIME TO CHANGE THE SUBJECT. "Hey look, a person!" Addy pointed to Softstep, obviously trying to hide the fact that she knew nothing about reincarnation or how it worked. "Ello!"

"Dude, I'm a two and a half pound bat. I'm not easy to miss." Addy frowned at Softstep. Somehow the fact that the she-cat was probably as blind wasn't registering. So she waved her unbroken wing in the air a couple of times. "Oi! Over 'ere! Name's Addy. Whas yours?"
