" She snarls at me when I get someting wrong, and when we're training, she pushes me really hard. Sometimes, literally," the dark-gray tom muttered.

Suddenly, a wall of cats surrounded Seraphine: Haloclaw, Firefall, Moonripple, Blizzardpaw, Wildshine, Pumawing, and Mousefoot. " Put Raykit down, you filth!" Wildshine yowled.

Rain ignored the voice, and pounced on Sombergaze, though he had his claws sheathed.

" She won't listen. You know I hate her, but I can't think of anyone I know who's better at fighting than she is! She can even beat Haloclaw in a mock battle," Darkpaw yowled, agitated.

Wildshine nudged Raykit towards Moonripple, who picked him up and dashed to the safety of the nursery. The new warrior Looked at Seraphine levelly. " I'll fight her myself. You others should help our Clanmates." he mewed at the other warriors. " You threatened a helpless kit, and attacked us without warning. We group together to save the ones we care about. You have no right to call us cowards! You might kill me today, but ThunderClan will drive you out before the moon is high!" he charged at Seraphine.

Rain yowled, " they were prepared, I'm just showing them not to mess with me!" he landed on Sombergaze, claws still sheathed.

Wildshine winced as claws ripped his fur and grazed at his skin, but he quickly lashed out a front paw, spitting. " You don't deserve to be called a cat!" he hisssed

Rain released Sombergaze and stared into the shadows. " Who are you?" he mewed cautiously.

Wildshine was just able to dodge her attack, but he stumbled and fell. He knew she would kill him...

" You'd be surprised..." Darkpaw murmured. Mousefoot fought not just with skill and strength, but with rage too. A will to survive. A will to win.

Wildshine filled with rage. This was HIS moment. A chance to prove himself. " Face me, loner. This isn't over yet," the tom got to his paws.

" Leave ThunderClan," Wildshine snarled.

" And what is your mission? Torturing kits?" the tom hissed. " Their life is more important than mine."

Rain stepped back. " You're a Clan cat too, I suppose?" he was badly outnumbered.

" Then why attack us? What have we ever done to you?" his eyes clouded with pain at the sight of the destruction.

" You never have to hurt, or kill, others. It's always the want," he stumbled, real pain suddenly ripping through him.

Wildshine didn't anticipate her attacked. He yowled in horror as she slashed at his neck. He felt blood trickling towards his paws. He stood for a moment longer, then collapsed.

Pumawing heard a yowl and whipped around, only to see Seraphine standing over Wildshine, her claws red with his blood. Pumawing's world fell around her. " NO!" she screamed. Rage and grief fired in her. She staggered towards Seraphine, hissing," Y-you killed Wildshine...I'll flay you, I"LL FLAY YOU ALIVE!" and she launched herself at the enemy.

Pumawing felt claws rake her belly, but she didn't care. She pushed Seraphine off, and slashed at her muzzle.

Moonripple ran to Wildshine's side, Haloclaw close behind. The tom saw his sister battling with Seraphine, and dashed to Pumawing's aid. Moonripple stared in grief at Wildshine. He was so young...suddenly something caught her eye. His chest was moving. " H-he's alive!"the silver she-cat whispered. She examined the wound. It would have caused a lot of pain and much blood loss, but it wasn't deep enough to puncture his throat.

Moonripple heard Emberwhisker's voice in her head. You're not weak, Moonripple. You can't let Savilot hurt anyone...she yowled and raked her claws at Savilot.
