[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; bordercolor=transparent; width: 355px;][justify][font=times new roman]Half dragon, half kitsune- and the child of a ghoul at that. Nobody paid much attention to that, much to their own disadvantage. Hikaru would have been wandering simply near the border, his mindset for once set on something as foolish as what he'd eat later, when an npc enemy lunged from the shadows, dragging its claws over his flank and spilling crimson over the ground. The hybrid winced, a hiss emitting from his jaws before its tail lashed around, tossing him into a tree and inevitably making something under his skin crunch in a greatly uncomfortable way.
Hikaru slid to the ground, his nose scrunched to bare his fangs as he looked up at the approaching creature from lowered eyelids. It wasn't some simple cat looking for a fight- as a matter of fact, it was a young-looking chimera that appeared to want an easy snack. Its green hues only reflected laughter as it raked over the hybrid's slumped form, soon to raise a large front paw and slam it into his head, temporarily dazing him as it grabbed his scruff and threw him into a jutting boulder, its laughter ricocheting through his head. Before he could look up again, the creature already had its unsheathed claws over his throat, a purr resonating through it. "What a pitiful thing," It hummed into his ear, nipping roughly and breaking some of the skin. "Don't worry, I'll relieve you of this overburdening world, and in return, you'll live on as a hero for feeding me in my time of need."
"Time of need? You look like a king that got too fat off of his own feast." Hikaru replied in turn, earning another small crunch against his first right shoulder. The child winced, the scent of stale alcohol on the mythical creature's breath as it snarled, "Watch your tongue, boy, or I might just rip it out."
"Go ahead fleabag," Hikaru stated, staring blankly into the cruel eyes above him, "Though you might want to check that bellyache of yours." Of course, before the enemy could answer, he would have brought his hind legs upward and tore into the soft flesh with his semi-retractable claws, its wails of pain a reassurance to him before his strong wings slammed against its head, his body twisting as he moved out from under the enraged beast, despite the dull pain flashing through his form. Taking into the air, he gained enough momentum before darting back down, picking himself up before he hit the ground and slamming into the goat head on its back, managing to dig his claws between its jaws and pulling until there was a snap, breaking its neck and landing on the ground, narrowly avoiding a swing from a massive paw once more.
The chimera snapped its jaws at him, pulling some skin from his left shoulder, but Hikaru refused to cry out helplessly. Instead, the dragsune kept his focus on the snake-head tail, in which lunged at him. The child grabbed just behind the eyes, bringing his own arm down on it and clawing at it repeatedly until it wailed out, letting go as he was faced with the lion head once more. [color=darkred]"You're dead, boy!" The npc roared in anger as it charged at him, both front legs throwing themselves at him and pinning him by his shoulders. Hikaru glared into the sickly, pain-glazed green of its eyes, and during which his four tails would have already coiled around its muscly neck, constricting until it tried to get away, swiping its paws at him despite him latching to its chest, hissing in return, "My name's not boy, f*head."
By the time it came up with a reply and opened its jaws, it would have already collapsed, and Hikaru only let go when it stopped shivering, jabbing its sides roughly as he pulled his way out before breathing out in relief, wincing at the pain that returned to him. At least that moron was dead, but now he'd have to make an excuse for his wounds- after all, he was still considered an innocent little kid.
Hours later, Hikaru limped his way back toward camp. "I fell from a tree," The child stated blankly as npcs rushed to aid him, but he dismissed their worry with his stoicness, heading to his room in the castle and coughing every now-and-then, some blood trickling past his lips, though he licked it up quickly. What good was it for everyone to worry about him?
After all, he liked the taste anyway, and the adrenaline that followed the hunt. Oh yeah, remember when he was thinking about what he was having later? Well, let's say he ate like a true king that evening.
