[justify][size=8]Dex wasn't expecting anyone behind her, she wasn't expecting a voice, a female one at that. The cannibal's breath caught in her throat and she whipped around, teeth baring and ears flattening against her head. Her hackles raised in defense of herself, choking on the paranoia trying to rear its head. It took her moment to push through the initial panic to see that it was Sola and not Pandora. She hated that she was paranoid, she hated that she watched behind her back like a hawk. The tears that had threatened to fall down her face had already fallen with her initial scare, the first tier reaching up to wipe them away before Sola could see. She could handle shit on her own and didn't need anyone.
"I'm trying to get my next meal." Dex drawled, relaxing her stance and allowing the easy smirk to appear on her muzzle. "I see it's not working." The female made a faint snorting sound, watching Sola for a few moments. Flicking an ear, she sat down, pushing down the stirrings of grief. "I assume you're the authority around here." She said, frowning only slightly at a bone she missed. Sola was probably horribly confused with the fact that she was frowning at a bone, but she didn't want them in there anymore. It was unlikely Chimera was coming back so she didn't want to save anything (though, she would probably pick up the bones she threw and hide them elsewhere where she didn't have to see them as often).
She hated that she was still attached to him, still attached to the little fuck. She hated that she hadn't been more attached, however, she hated that she hadn't chased away the others who tried to come after him. Violent surges of jealousy boiled inside the pit of her stomach suddenly and she had to swallow thickly to push it back down - Chim wasn't present, he wasn't even in BloodClan anymore. She had given him permission to fool around with others and where had that gotten her? No where. "Mm.. Don't give him free reign." Dex commented off-handedly about Pollux, turning towards inside the den and casual motioning that Sola could follow her farther inside.
She reached the skull and adjusted it slightly out of a nervous tick. Dex turned and pushed her hind end against it, swallowing the paranoia that Sola was there to attack her like Pandora. The skull was large enough that Dex could prop open the top jaw and climb inside if she really wanted - which she had. It was where she'd put her bed, inside the skull. If any dumbass came looking for her she could just retreat inside (or if she was having an anxiety attack). Her heart hammered against her chest, but she slipped on that easy smirk and loose drawl to avoid Sola being suspicious. She'd already caught Dex throwing bones violently out of her cave. The other girl probably wouldn't appreciate Dex telling her what to do about her own boyfriend, but with what she'd done with Chimeraglare, it was safe to say that the first tier had a bit of experience in the matter.
