Oliver had came out again. Bertolt couldn't focus on trying to defeat the bear and protect Oliver at the same time. The canine's brain was scattered, and he couldn't reply to Oliver without his words getting scrambled as well, so he didn't reply and inatead tried to climb to the bear's neck.

Was he late? Yes, very much so. The apprentice came up slowly, looking up at his sister's dragon body and began to speak when he noticed the small body of his now deceased crush laying limp, a long strand of rope hanging around Oliver's neck. The black and white could feel a large lump form in his throat, and felt like throwing up. His eyes found their way to the note, and on feet like lead he went to it. Bert skimmed it for the most part, and they halted when he found his name. I loved you for that. Those five words made him feel like he would just die on the spot. Why hadn't Oliver told him this? Why hadn't the black and white been around? All questions he hadn't the answer to.
A sudden guilt found it's way into his mind, and a thought began to form. You did this! the thought screamed. It was like a wave of sadness and guilt and remorse crashed into him, and Bert could feel himself drowning in it. All these feelings forced themselves into an imaginary jar, and with this the jar would burst. All the deaths, raids, and now this? It all did a number on his mentality. All he wants is peace and happiness, but he had been seeing the world through rose-colored lenses. Peace was just an abstract idea that would never happen. Other people are just grenades. When they die, they explode, and the shards harm everyone close to them; the ones in the blast zone, he would think.
And with that, Bert went back to the body, where he could feel a pool form in his eyes, and seconds later the tears began falling.

Oliver's death was a match. A match that lit the flames of depression. All Bert could think about was Oliver, and how he was the only thing that could make the deceased cat happy. Bert couldn't help but blame himself for the death. The tuxedo lay in the corner of his tree house, buried in a pile of rags. The door was shut and the curtains drawn, bathing the treehouse in a pitch-black darkness. He didn't want to be seen like this by anyone, fur wet with tears and sniffling. Suddenly, a low wail rose from the treehouse, dying down moments later. The tears began to flow again.

The apprentice would teleport into the battle with a snarl plastered on his face. His eyes would whip around to Electra's place on the ground, and the cougar teleported just in front of the unconscious queen.

Bertolt was fast, but definitely not fast enough to avoid all of the jabs. Terrible pains shot through him each time he was stabbed, for a total of three times. Blood turned the liver-colored fur of the cougar a dark brown as blood seeped from his wounds. Bert teleported behind Bradley and would attempt to rake long claws across the Exile's side.

Bradley's hopes had gone through this time, and one of the daggers lodged itself in Bertolt's side. The apprentice pulled it out of his body and held it between his jaws. While the cougar was doing this, Bradley had come up on his blind spot and successfully cut Bert. Another jolt of pain washed over his slender body and Bert whipped around to face his opponent. Bertolt attempted to stab Bradley multiple times in a counter move.
