But sure enough, she was speaking the truth, she could see it within the canine's almond shaped eyes. This made her happy in a sense that she had to confess why Catalyst was special to her. "I appreciate that, greatly. Your words have affected a part of my heart that has long been out of use, as you have as well. I find you very captivating, words and all." She had no clue that this would be considered flirting, she just used the words that seemed best to her. "I can not help but seek your companionship when I'm in need of some, and even then, I enjoy being around you. You never fail to impress me." It was true, she was impressed by the dark furred canine, from her natural beauty to the way she held herself when she walked and talked.
Yet, to hear that she felt odd because of such angst amongst their clanmates brought Vera's smile down a few notches and worry to crease her facial features. "Maybe you are finding yourself caring about their well being and what happens to them?" She paused, she probably interpreted Catalyst's words wrong, but she continued. "But, even with such things happening around us," She smiled a little, eyes kind of sad. "it's always good to try and find the good in situations. No matter how dire they may be, it is how I'm able to smile.. even in the face of my enemy. But it's understandable to feel odd, I feel odd at times as well" Their odds were probably different though, Catalyst probably felt feelings she didn't understood, and Vera only felt odd in a sense that she didn't want to do in times of destruction or griving. As she relayed the words she spoke in her head, she felt as if she sounded older, which she didn't mind, she wanted to impress Catalyst with who she was.
