Avi tipped her head to the side slightly, and raised her eyes to look up at the goat. He was a goat, right? Not some weird-ass thing that some barmy monster had put together in a slaughter. "That's a maybe if I ever saw one," the Australian responded with a small laugh. "We'll see. I dunno who nicked him."

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; height: 200px; overflow: auto; width: 335px; text-align: justify; margin-left: -1px; margin-top: -7px;]Basically anyone outside of RoA's allies are fair game here, as Alice (the last leader) has told the Arcadians to treat everyone else as enemies. If you weren't aware yet, RoA has become a cult of witches keen on ritual and torture, who sees women as above men though not anti-male like the old RadClan.

As she is the new High Priestess, I want Avi to set a good example by finding come creative ways to torture and kill others. Whether their death be permanent or temporary, or even just being physically or mentally scarred is up to you as a roleplayer, but the character will be temporarily brought to Arcadia.

To show interest, please just state your character's: name; alliance; body they will be in at the time; and whether it's kill or torture (or anything in particular you want done to them).

"Then do it from a distance. We've got the Exiles on our back already, we don't need RadicalClan as well right now." Avianartisan sent her friend a dark look, as if to say I'll explain my reasoning later. In private.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; height: 200px; overflow: auto; width: 335px; text-align: justify; margin-left: -1px; margin-top: -7px;]Summer. It was hot, humid, and generally a miserable time of year for most people, but one would get used to extreme heat if they had grown up in a place somewhat similar to the marshes. There was barely a wisp of cloud in the sky, and things looked surprisingly clear, but the weather had no affect on Avianartisan. She was miserable anyway, though her outward appearance was always anything but.

The queen lazed in a tree today as a leopard generally did (though Avi was sure as Dark not one of them), draped over a branch and generally watching the world go by with uninterested amber eyes. If she was honest with herself, Avi had no idea why Alice had picked her to be the next High Priestess. She was just a random teenager who happened to be active, and there were so many undesirable things about her. She was weak, had no special powers that set her apart from the rest of the world, and couldn't even remember who she used to be.

We don't get many of those anymore, we all know each other." Avi had a grin on her face as she approached the vixen, and was perfectly willing to let the younger one leave her own impression on the Heir. "I'm Avianartisan, the Heir."

Avi wasn't sure if she was a Caddo still (she wanted to talk to Spacey about that, actually), but she flicked her pierced ears happily towards the vulpine. "It's nice to meet you, Fruity. You can call me Avi if you like."

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; height: 200px; overflow: auto; width: 335px; text-align: justify; margin-left: -1px; margin-top: -7px;]Avi had smelled the hydra before she saw it. The queen had paled as the reptilian scent hit her nostrils, and rushed outside the tower to see something that she never thought she would see with her own two eyes. Spacey - her Spacey - riding atop a hydra. "Spacey, get down from there! You'll be eaten!" she called up, amber eyes wide with worry.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; height: 200px; overflow: auto; width: 335px; text-align: justify; margin-left: -1px; margin-top: -7px;]Avianartisan, on the other hand, had a ridiculous amount of muse to go around, and she had been walking. Not on a patrol or anything, just out on a leisurely summer stroll that would take her around some of her favourite places in Arcadia's territory. She was quite relaxed until she caught an unfamiliar scent, and she racked her brains to try and recall if she had met someone with it at the gathering recently. She came up blank, and so she couldn't pull the "hurr hurr i know where you're from now what do you want" trick.

Amber eyes looked around for the source as Avi approached that particular area of the border, and they finally landed upon a brown and white tabby. A girl, just like Avi was. "Can I help you?" the Australian asked, her tone of voice not hostile but not overly informal.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; height: 200px; overflow: auto; width: 335px; text-align: justify; margin-left: -1px; margin-top: -7px;]As happened a lot with the Arcadians as of late, several of them appeared at once out of nowhere. Avi cursed herself for not noticing them all at once, and almost fell out of the tree she had been reclined in. "By the everloving Dark are you guys right there?" she cried out, digging her claws into the tree as she did a 180. A 180 which resulted in the Heir hanging from the underside of the branch, upside down and everything.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; height: 200px; overflow: auto; width: 335px; text-align: justify; margin-left: -1px; margin-top: -7px;] Interesting. BloodClan had arrived, and Avi wasn't exactly excited by the prospect. They were too cocky, and with good reason (even she had heard of their torture methods and was duly impressed by them), though it was evident that someone one day would need to knock them off their high horse. Today was not that day, so Avi stayed silent for a few moments longer. "If we don't band together- not that Arcadia agrees with the idea of doing so - then what do you propose we do about the humans?"

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 335px; text-align: justify; margin-left: -1px; margin-top: -7px;]If not for the grim promise that she would die if the Rule wasn't obeyed, Avianartisan wouldn't have believed the dragon.

    -----

It was early in the morning, roughly a day after the rest of Arcadia had started to find familiars, and Avi was both determined and scared to find herself one. What if she chose wrong? What if the creature she chose got out of control and she was blamed for such an outcome? The golden and white tabby was well aware that she wasn't yet much of a witch, and that any creature that came under her control would be small and weak. Nothing like the powerful hydra that Spacey had chosen, or the monstrous dragon that Alice was rumoured to control.

Avi left the tower, and headed into the marshes to try and think. She tended to have clearer thoughts when her body was in that place, rather than the hustle and bustle of the tower itself. It was quiet out here, and she needed time by herself to recharge on occasions like today. An ambivert thing, she supposed. The sky was a clear blue, and the distant hisses and mutterings of marshland myths were the Heir's only company as she continued to walk. It was quite peaceful really, away from the expectations and responsibilities of her rank. Well, it was peaceful until a hiss resounded inside of her head, there was a flash of lightning that could be seen from all across the territory, and everyhthing went dark.

    -----

    Hey. You.

Everything was blurry as Avi slowly opened her eyes, a small groan coming from the back of her throat as she tasted smoke and blood. The voice, distinctly feminine and somewhat reptilian, was heard from inside Avi's head. She knew instinctively that she was in the same place that she had been struck, but the light was at a different and strange angle and that confused the queen. Was ... was it morning? Surely Avi hadn't been missing all night (hint: she had). She groaned again, and tried to lifft her head up to look around, but only succeeded in meeting the luminous purple eyes of a small yellow dragon that had seated itself opposite her.

    "Wh ..."

[i]Sh. Yes, you're looking at the voice in your head, and I'm stunned that you're alive. You an Alchemist or something? They're the only ones able to resist my lightning, unless you're a firebender or some shit. And you didn't redirect it like they can, so my bet is not. Avi struggled to her paws, and looked down - yes, down - at the yellow dragoness, who was about the height of Avi's shoulder. She didn't know anything about Alchemists, or firebenders, or anything about what was going on here. She tried again, and finally found her voice.

"I have no idea what you're talking about, so are you gonna sit here looking like a smug little shit or are you going to tell me what you mean?"

[i]Fine. Surprise, kid, you're an Alchemist! With a special circly thing called a transmutation circle as well as the right ingredients, you can create stuff. But not from thin air, there is a Rule that you have to follow. Well, three, but one in particular is the big important one. That piqued the Australian's curiosity; her, an Alchemist! It seemed to be another branch of magic, and the more that she knew about different magics the better off she would be. Avi nodded cautiously.

"Okay, tell me about these rules. Please."

[i]Cool beans, kid. Rule number one, you aren't allowed to transmute cats, that's a big no-no. Things go wrong a lot, and I don't want a rookie making mistakes. Rule two, no making gold out of things. Rule three, the big Rule, is that to gain, something of equal value must be lost. The Law of Alchemy, we call it, and if you don't obey that you'll probably die. No, you will, unless you have- you know what? You'll die, that thing is a myth. You still interested?

"If I'm an Alchemist, then I'm an Alchemist, plain and simple. But how do I learn?" Avi was perfectly willing to know more about this subject, and who knew, maybe this dragon would make an interesting tutor. Perhaps, if she got good enough, Alice would recognise it as a branch of witchcraft and allow her, Avi, to teach it.

[i]Come back to me in a little while, once you manage to recover. You've got a nasty burn on your shoulder, and you've been gone for a day. I'll teach you.

And so, the golden tabby limped her way out of the marsh to notice that the sun was in pretty much the same position it had been in since she had gone in. It had been a day, then. She wondered whom had missed her, and if Spacey could help her with the shoulder.

She would have volunteered as well, but Alice had a lot to choose from. She nodded towards the High Priestess to show her interest, though it was a lot more lowkey than the constant yelling.

[fancypost borderwidth=0][justify][sup]It was Avi's turn to be exploring, and so the young Heir had come to WindClan in search of an acquaintance. She recalled Libby mentioning something about Alchemy, but honestly the gold and white tabby couldn't remember what exactly it was and needed to know. She hadn't gone back to the dragon yet, though her burns weren't giving her much grief anymore.

She stopped once she caught the border-scent, and called out. "Libby! You around?"

    [align=center]

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; height: 200px; overflow: auto; width: 335px; text-align: justify; margin-left: -1px; margin-top: -7px;]Thank the Dark, she had shown up in time. Avi had started to get bored, but her mind came back on task as the other tabby appeared in her line of vision. There was a moment's hesitation on the Heir's part, but then she got over it. Libby was her friend, she could tell her about this. "A couple of days ago, something happened and I was told about something called Alchemy. I was told that I'm an Alchemist, otherwise I would have died. I remember you mentioning something about it, and I want to know what it is that you know about the topic. It's urgent."

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; height: 200px; overflow: auto; width: 335px; text-align: justify; margin-left: -1px; margin-top: -7px;]Avi looked around, and frowned. There wasn't exactly anywhere to sit exactly where they were, and the land was all slope-y. But at the sight of the books, her eyes lit up; the witch could practically feel the knowledge thrumming out of the parchment. "Ready as I'll ever be. But should we take this to a place that is kind of flat if we're going to be studying and drawing circles everywhere?" She knew this would take a long time to master, especially as she wasn't a prodigy in anything except being a shithead with an Australian accent and weird lingo.

She would need that, as any body was kind of useless with a broken neck. "Ready to go. Oh, I never told you ... Would you like to know how I found out that I'm an Alchemist as we go?" She was really excited now, and Avi's golden eyes glimmered with interest as she found a topic.
