Friday had to be his favorite day of the week, hands down.
Joshua stood at his locker in the football locker room, checking to make sure he had all his equipment ready for the game later that night. It was the biggest game of the season, against their rival school, and college scouts would be packing the announcer's box to watch. Football was his ticket to a full ride to college, so he needed to be at his best tonight.
With a small sigh, Josh pulled on his football sweatshirt, seeing as it was pretty cool outside, and made his way out into the cold night air. He still had some time before the team was supposed to meet back in the locker room, and he needed to take a walk before the nerves drove him crazy.
When Josh rounded the building to see a familiar looking Jeep parked in the fairly empty parking lot, a small smile spread across his face as he headed towards it. The smile only grew when he noticed Maria was facing the passenger side of the Jeep, and he took the chance to loudly rap his knuckles against the driver window in hope of scaring her.
