Wavestorm blinked and looked at Rosebud. "I was stalking a mouse when a hawk snatched it. I fought with it," she explained, sounding frustrated. "It wrenched out my claw, and got away with the mouse!" she spat. Muttering, she added, "At least I gave it some wounds to remember me by."

"I saw her catch it. I'm her mentor," Wavestorm reminded the other she-cat. She curled her tail neatly around her good paw, with her bad one lifted for the medicine cat to inspect.
    (Brain farts are fun. xD;)

Wavestorm sighed. It looks like the heat is getting to everyone's head. I suppose it is more than normal for this early on in Greenleaf. Hopefully the lake won't shrink too much. She made a mental note to check on that later.

Ripplestar padded out of her den and jumped up on top. This was her favorite spot to watch over the clan. As she sat, there seemed to be something on her mind. Her gaze skimmed over all of the experienced warriors, pausing for a brief moment on several individuals.

"Great Starclan, calm down!" Wavestorm meowed, clearly surprised by Deerpaw's reaction. "I will be just fine. Look," she held out her now cobweb covered paw, "it's fine. I'm just staying in here to make sure the cobwebs don't come off."

Wavestorm sighs. "You're young and inexperienced," she meowed. "It was a harmless mistake." Even if it was a huge overreaction.

Ripplestar let out a small sigh and jumped down from the top of her den. Slowly, she began padding towards the meeting area. It was a large outcropping of rocks sticking out of the ground. The lower rocks were good for sunbathing in Newleaf and Leaf-fall, though they were too hot during Greenleaf. The light tortoiseshell jumped up to a shallow cave-like structure in the rocks. It was high enough for her to be visible by all cats during the meeting, but well-shaded so that it didn't burn her paws on hot days such as this. She hesitated in calling the meeting, suddenly seeming to doubt herself.

Ripplestar remained silent for several heartbeats longer. Finally, she called the clan. "Let all cats capable of hunting their own prey gather around for a clan meeting!" She sat unusually still after the call, with the exception of her eyes, which flicked from cat to cat as they approached.

Ripplestar waits as the cats settle down below her while taking note of everyone who's shown up and who's missing. She then waits a moment longer for any murmurs to die off. Only then does she speak. "As everyone should have realized by now, Greenleaf is coming. With Greenleaf comes fire. Until Leaf-fall, all cats are to bring at least two others out of the camp with them, regardless of the reason." She stopped there to let the cats chatter among themselves if they felt so inclined.

(Willowleaf, while I don't mind your cat having a relationship with another of your own, I'd like you to keep the number of cats you have down to three, and any kits they have should be roleplayed by someone else if they go past this limit.)

Ripplestar continued on, seeing that the cats were mostly quiet. "On other news, as most of you know, our previous deputy, Grayleaf passed away recently. It is time that another cat took this position," she stated. "Rosebud, step forward."

(Yay for quickly put together names for the sake of progression? xD)

The tortoiseshell leader jumped down from her perch, landing neatly in front of Rosebud. "You are young to be a deputy, but your youth should prove to be beneficial. You are friendly but also detached. You care for you clanmates and will lend an ear, and there is no doubt that you will treat them all equally. I trust that as deputy, you will build upon these skills and lead the clan where I cannot."

(I should note that due to the origins of this clan, a number of clan rituals have been distorted or all together forgotten.)

Seeing the approval of the other cats, Ripplestar nodded, pleased. "Don't be afraid to ask me any questions," she said to her deputy. "The meeting is over." At that point, she walked back to her den.

(I'd prefer if you waited until tomorrow, Willowleaf, because I need to go. uwu;)

Shellfur maintained his speed until the two finally arrived at the training field. The only features that set it apart were the short grass and a couple of trees. Standing at the far end of the field, the chocolate tom motioned for Mosspaw to take the other side. "We'll start with you showing me what you know. Naturally, we are to keep our claws sheathed," he declared.

(Time zones happen. I personally just got home from school)

Wavestorm glanced at Stormstrike as the queen walked into the nursery, noticing her swollen belly. It definitely wouldn't be long before kits were scurrying around the camp.

    (That's fine.)

Wavestorm jerked at the yowl and turned to look at medicine cat, though stopped herself from saying anything as she saw the medicine cat rush by. She trusted things would be fine with the knowledge of this feline, though she locked her gaze onto the nursery.

Wavesong observed quietly from her place near the medicine den. Due to her position, and the number of cats in the nursery, she wasn't able to see much, but used auditory cues to tell what was happening.

The blue she-cat twitched her ears, unable to escape the thought that one day, that'd be her yowling in agony. She shuddered slightly. Is it really worth all the pain?

(I hope you don't mind me not roleplaying the medicine cat. xD I figure we can just assume what he/she is doing.)
