ThunderClan's land was a friendly and hospitable place for the enemy bear as he walked over the land. Sadly for them, however, the bear was not here to be a companion.
The setting sun coated the world in a bright orange tint. Even the trees swayed with a certain sheen to them; the foreign pines were familiar to the sow. He remembered running around in a field of wheat in his childhood and resting in the crushed golden rods of Autumn; though, that brief flicker of suppressed memories didn't last very long. The sun didn't seem like it was in the right place, either - it'd look much better by a lake, but nonetheless, it was still beautiful.
He flexed his thick, finger-long claws, each sharpened at the end to make for deadly weapons against his opponents. In the end, it was always one choice to be 'evil' or 'good'. Truly, however, what being 'evil' and 'good' was ... simply how others looked at a person. If a person did something good for someone, that someone would see them as good. If that person did something bad for that someone, then that someone would see them as bad. That didn't make the person good or bad; actions were not to be confused with personality or people.
I suppose, though, that these ThunderClanners will see me as evil after this deed. And that was good, because he wanted them to see him as evil. He wanted them to see his Clan as evil, see them as a force to be reckoned with and not treated like a sack of dung. It was a way of controlling Clans using not fear, but power - and that struggle for power happened everyday, resulting in hundreds of deaths and injuries. No one ever stopped, every adversary more power-hungry and ruthless than the last.
The bear was no exception in any shape or form. He crept across enemy lands alone; he did these things alone because he never had felt comfortable risking others' lives. He also disliked being alone, but he'd rather be alone than watch people he had grown attached to get hurt because of him.
He was here on a highly important mission: stealing herbs. Sure, herbs can be easily grown, so why try and pick all of it to see if it stops us from making it? he imagined a ThunderClanner asking. He gave a snort, shaking his head at the thought there were actually people like that. When such a thing is so obvious, they'd never stop and think that maybe we're not stupid.
BreezeClan had been stealing catnip to trade for their allies; after all, why not hit two bird with one stone? Remind pro-clans they existed and get themselves more supplies - and, the added third bird: trading those supplies with their allies. It was not complicated to understand when you took time to think about it. Maybe. Since he had already knew of all this beforehand, he wouldn't have known the difficulty of its comprehension.
It wasn't long before the bear had found what he had come for, and, carrying a deer on his back he had found as a souvenir, the bear walked off, having not been on the land long. And just before dark, too.[/fancypost][/fancypost] |
