The Lux
Never before had I encountered a species so intelligently crafted other than humans. These creatures These beings have fascinated my interest such as they have my brother. I shall spend as long as I have left upon this earth studying them, and organism so much like ourselves. Maybe one day humans will evolve to be as magnificent as the Lux are...
A Summary of the Species
The Lux are a humanoid species with a sort of six and seventh sense. One being the power to see the spiritual realm, the other, the ability to shape the elements of the world around us such as light, air, and water.
Some are so identical, you couldn't as so tell a human for one.
As of our basic knowledge, a comprised list of powers is in order:

Basis Features
Lux are very human like, nearly identical. There are, however, a few things you will notice about lux.
1) Their Eyes: Lux have brilliant colored eyes. They include all of the colors, all of them. These eyes can glow, literally, and that will signal one of two things- use of their powers, or an emotion. Power is fueled with emotion, so it's hard to tell the difference. These eyes are unique to each lux. Some even have the whites of their eyes replaced with a different color.
2) Their Hair: It doesn't range as much as eyes, but lux can be born with vibrant hair that stays that color throughout their life. The color does include most colors, but not as much as eyes.
3) "Scales": Lux have an interesting feature- scales that line their necks, jawline, and shoulder blade area. They serve three purposes- communication (Lyxian is the language- a series of clicks), breathing (much like the mouth or nose), and protection. These scales are easily bendable, but tough like kevlar.
4) Gender: They have none, well, pure lux don't. Halflings keep their human gender when changed into a lux (including sex organs). Pure lux have no specific sex organs, making them gender neutral. All lux will, however, assign themself a gender used when in public with non lux. This is the social norm for the lux species.
Powers
As mentioned, Lux ave the ability to bend and shape the elements. This, I've concluded, comes from their primary ability to read the spiritual realm.
Since Lux can read the energy of the spiritual realm, they can copy and manifest it into the physical realm we all dwell in.
The elements a Lux can control can be rank in 3 sectors: Commonality and Power Intensity (How strong the element is). And thus, that is how each shall be placed.
Fire Manipulation~Water/Ice Manipulation~Air/Gases Manipulation~Cloud Movement/Weather Manipulation~Rock/Rock Formation Manipulation
Most common types (6/10 lux have these power type). Level One Lux.

Less common (4/10 have these power types). Level Two Lux.
Energy Manipulation~Poison Manipulation~Crystal/Mineral Manipulation
More advanced, but just as common as Level Two Lux. Level Three Lux
"Blood"~Time Manipulation
Very dangerous, and very rare (<1-1/10 have these power types). Level Four Lux.
Weaknesses
Steel- Most Lux are, at the least, harmed by steel. By touching steel, a burning or singeing sensation with affect the area of skin, usually painfully.
A stab of the heart with a steel blade, bolt, or bullet will 9/10 times kill a lux. In personal experience, bolts work most efficiently.
Removing the Heart- As gruesome as it is, this is the most sure-fire, 100 percent guarantee to keep a Lux dead.
The Corresponding Element- 95 percent of the time this will not kill, but can weaken them.

Food Sources
Lux are an odd species. Their diets consist of either blood (mostly human), meats (of any range of cooked to uncooked), or soft fruits. This all has to do with the lining of their two stomachs. Halflings can eat a broader variety of foods. Lux can fall into one or more of these cateories:
Blood: Gravital, Poison, Crystaline, Blood, Time
Meats: Fire, Water/Ice, Air, Weather, Plant/Animal, Light, Sound, Magnetic, Rock, Gravital, Poison, Crystaline, Blood
Fruits: Water/Ice, Air, Weather, Plant/Animal, Light, Sound, Magnetic, Rock, Gravital, Crystaline
Serum
Serum, in its simplest form, is pure lyxian magic. Most magic is infused with lux blood, so its pure form is very rare. Pure lux and halflings (people who have been turned into lux, but are pure lux now) have serum and can use it to change other people into lux. It is a slow process and can be painful to some. I have comprised a symptoms list and affects list:
-Aggression (Levels vary on how late into process it is)
-Blood-lust
-Skin will darker and eyes will brighten (depending on the amount of serum injected)
-Powers will begin to grown, controlled by emotions at first (Powers are chosen random. You never know what you will get.)
-Scales will form on neck, jawline, and shoulder-blade area
-Migraines, headaches, stomach aches
-Energy highs and lows (like getting high)
-Victim will become faster and stronger gradually
In extreme cases
-Mental illnesses
-Possible death if too much serum is received
